I saw 2 police officers getting into their car when I called one over to help me but I was kinda scared for a few seconds due to so much bad news. One officer came over and respectfully opened the bag and made my day with a huge heartful smile. Thank you. I wish I could know his name. I even slept better knowing there's very kind police officers all around us.

I politely would walk away from the individuals and have nothing to do with them. The police would not answer the phone, not send the police, not tell them to leave me alone and never enforce the law or charge them. For my first time trying to work professionally with the OPD - very unprofessional and did not uphold the law. It was a waste of time. To honor, protect and serve - well, it doesn't work that way in Omaha apparently.

I had an incident which left my car undrivable and I was forced to relinquish my ability to do so at the time. I had to sign some paperwork and my vehicle was removed from site and relocated to Omaha Police Impound. I was told I could retrieve it the next day. I showed up first thing in the morning in my working vehicle and had to produce many forms of ownership. Title, license, and proof of insurance. Then I had to give them my Visa. no other card would work and they don't take checks. Much like Costco in that matter. I called my roadside assistance and they were able to bring my car from Impound to my driveway, free of charge. +1 for Progressive! Upon reading the papers I had, it states that you can have the Impound bring the vehicle to your home or designated location for $~125, or they will bring it to the lot for $99. Plus $39 a day storage, Plus $44 for documentation. As you might infer, It costs much less to bring your vehicle home. Please avoid this location unless you are going to the auction. You can get a great deal on a slightly broken motorbike!

We were expecting a lot of "red tape," but they made the process simple and fast.

The officers at the doors scanning persons and belongings are welcoming and efficient. The majority of the staff smile when they pass you in the hallway and the ones behind the glass helping you are pleasant and efficient. Judge Palms handled the chaos of his court room with practiced efficiency. I'm not sure who the gentleman at one of the tables was but his knowledge of more than two languages was amazing. I'm not sure how much of the various languages he knew, but he was able to ask and then direct individuals that the court would get an interpreter to help them. He also somehow managed to do two jobs at the same time. It's like he had two brains, four ears and two mouths. Maybe some extra hands. I was very impressed.
