Review for Dodge's Gas Station, S McKenzie, Foley, AL I had a really disappointing experience at Dodge's Gas Station on S McKenzie recently, and I feel it's important to share. My boyfriend and I walked over from our hotel to grab some DayQuil and tobacco products before he headed to work. Madison, the cashier, provided absolutely HORRIBLE customer service, which made us feel uncomfortable and borderline disrespected with a hint of racism. Here's what happened: Madison asked for my ID, which was confusing because just two days prior, she sold us alcohol, cigarettes, and an e-vape without asking for it. My boyfriend started to show his ID but she insisted on she must see mine. We went back to the hotel to grab my ID, and when I returned, it seemed like she had alerted the other staff about us, possibly making them aware that we was walking back in and to stop talking about the situation. When we got to the counter, she goes to get the merchandise and proceeded to THROW it onto the counter, demanding my ID again. It felt overly aggressive, especially since she didn't even check my boyfriend's ID. She was only focused on harassing me about mine. After I showed her my ID and paid, I asked her to hand me the merchandise in my hand, but she outright refused, saying she didn't have to put anything in my hand. When I told her that it's basic customer service to hand products to customers, her response was dismissive. She said " why should I have to put something in your hand" A black employee then stepped in and handed the products to my boyfriend, saying "this is too much." I couldn't tell if she was referring to my request for basic respect or Madison's lack of respect and customer service skills. Either way, it was frustrating but I still thanked her for putting it in his hand. I won't be returning to this store because I know you guys not going to fire her it clear as day she is use to it , and it's disheartening to hear from another customer as we are leaving out that Madison's behavior has been reported multiple times without any action taken. It leaves a bad taste and makes me question whether Dodge's supports this kind of borderline racist treatment environment. I truly hope management addresses these issues because no one should feel unwelcome or disrespected, especially in a service setting. read more

The service is excellent and associates are friendly and helpful. They are very attentive and concerned about serving the best food possible. Problem is the food is not as good as we had hoped. The tenders were very dry, the egg rolls do not have a good flavor but the chicken pieces were good. read more

Dodge's will probably be the cheapest gas station you'll come by while down on vacation. Ended up getting gas, but had to go inside to get my receipts since it didn't print one out. This is not only just a gas station, but a fast food place where you can get fried chicken, fried shrimp and a side items as well. The little interaction with the employee was nice and friendly. read more

Even though we had over two thirds of a tank of fuel, we decided to fill up here for our "road trip" back to New Orleans, as we planned to take the scenic route and didn't want to worry about fuel in the event we got stuck on some roadway due to an accident or other unfortunate event. When it comes to my wife's car, I never let it get under half a tank just to be on the safe side, but I digress. Upon pulling up to the fuel pumps, I realized that Dodge's prices were pretty competitive. It wasn't as inexpensive as Costco, but it certainly appeared to be less expensive that the major name brand stations. I had no intentions on going inside after filling up, but unfortunately, my pump did not print out a receipt, and I always get a receipt in the event I "get up the road a ways" and my car develops a fuel related issue; but I digress again. Upon walking in to get my receipt, I was pleasantly greeted by the smell of fried food, particularly fried chicken. If we hadn't just eaten just 15 minutes prior to getting gas, I would have tried the chicken; therefore I cannot comment on the food other than there were several people waiting in line to get some. So I'm guessing it's pretty good, or at the least, pretty popular. The inside of the store was clean and the employees seemed friendly enough. Maybe next time I come through this way, I'll try some of their food offerings. read more

This place is so unorganized in the mornings. I literally order the same food everyday 1) hash brown stick. 1 chicken chrispito stick. They are a different price daily, so I asked the lady about it today she said they must have went up in price? So your saying they are $4.? Each when it says 2) for $4.98? Also they have the cheapest gas but the catch is they never have the gas you have to get the upgraded gas. So use your own judgment, they also aren't the friendliest. Some mornings they are super nice some mornings they are rude! I'm pretty sure after today they lost my business. And I go daily I'll be finding another station with better service. read more

WOW! What a disapointment. I have eaten at the one in Memphis and Blytheville numerous times. I absolutely wasted almost $12 yesterday here in Foley. This is the best place for fried chicken I mean it's the best, and the gas prices are always comparable another thing is the people they are always upbeat and seem really happy to see you and go out of there way to make you happy it's that last step that makes it great for me. I have a disabled wife and there is almost always someone there to open the door and assist us. it's truly wonderful read more
