Dog Gone Walking has been walking our French Bulldog, Lincoln, for about 2 years now. The entire DGW team is amazing. They go above and beyond for Lincoln and treat him like one of their own. They walk him and play with him, and even take care of his unique Frenchie needs in the extreme heat. They leave us notes in a journal keeping us posted on how the walks go.They're also very accommodating with our crazy schedule. We love DGW so much that we've even recommended them to friends. The folks at Dog Gone Walking are spectacular! It's incredibly easy to schedule the initial walkthrough and provide pet care instructions. It's even easier to schedule appointments using their website. I had plenty of last minute trips that required care for my cat and it was simple to request services and they were incredibly fast to confirm. By far the best part of their services are emails and photos for every visit that they make. Both Mat and Nicky clearly enjoyed spending time with our little guy and making sure that he was well fed, well brushed and happy. They're the best! read more

THE BEST! Mat renames his service "Cat Gone Sitting" when he takes care of my cats (and fish). He sends a pic of my friendly (non-stranger-hating) cat every day and when she is standoffish he pretends to leave and then sneaks back to take a picture of her emerging from under the bed! I can not say enough good things about Dog Gone Walking. The owners are so incredibly flexible and caring - Bella spent a few days with them at their house and they treated her as one of their own, texting me pictures often to show me she was having fun. Our daily walker, Lucas, is amazing. He goes out of his way to give her extra attention when I'm out of town and leaves the cutest notes about their adventures together. Our walker is reliable, and the online reservation system is efficient and easy to use. Like other yelpers, I love the daily notes. When I found out about Matt & Jennifer's buisness. I had a few concerns about my puppy's separation anxiety when I would leave for work. My dog, Abby, would chew on my things only when I was away. Jennifer gave me a few tweaks, such as taking her on longer walks in the morning and holding her favorite treats to leave with her when I left in the morning. She helped solve our problems that a 7 week puppy class couldn't. After a few days of adusting our routine, never had an issue since!! Although I haven't used her services personally, she is very knowledgeable about puppy behaviors. I definitely recommend. read more

We've had some bad experiences with dog walkers in Pittsburgh. We have been very happy with Jen and Mathew, they're reliable and very professional. They clearly love dogs and treat our boy well while respecting our training wishes. They keep a journal for our dog at our house so we know what happened on the daily stroll (since his bowel movements are of utmost importance). We have a busy schedule that frequently changes, they are very accommodating and can come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The pushover for us was they care for him when we go out of town, he had the best time staying with them. read more

I honestly love these people more than I ever thought I could love pet sitters. We have two cats and my asthmatic cat requires meds twice a day and they were able to make it here and give her meds (even though it was Christmas time) and they were fantastic at communicating with me. I did notice that there was a pill on the ground, however, but because my cat is easy to pill, I think the pill may have just fallen out of the bottle as he was grabbing another. After hearing so many great things about Matthew's notes, I'm sad that my cat ate mine before I could read them, but alas. I was apprehensive, but after the consult with Matthew I was reassured that I was going to be able to leave the tiny furkids with him. I trust DGW like I would my family. We will use them again and again as long as we're in Pittsburgh. read more

These guys treat my dog like one of their own. When my dog stays with them, she comes home happy, healthy and tired (always a good thing with a big dog!) While I don't use them for daily dog walking, I have called them in a few emergency situations, and they've come to my house to pick up the dog - within 30 minutes.
