Love this place! We made a last minute reservation right before the holiday and PC was able to accommodate us. We had a bad experience the last time we had to board our little doggie at another facility, so we were a little apprehensive trying a new place. Josh and the team at PC were so amazing and kind. They sent us pictures of our little doggie throughout her stay, and even asked us about our vacation. You can tell that they genuinely care about the dogs and put their best interest first. My dog loves it there. She came back more obedient and well-behaved. It was such a pleasant experience and we will absolutely be back. Great experience. This was our first time boarding our beloved dog, Griffin, who is a rescue. We were concerned about kenneling him in a place with cement cells and miserable animals crying all night. From the urine and feces smells to the lack of outdoor activity, we knew it would be miserable and perhaps seem like we abandoned him. That said, we also needed to find boarding somewhat last minute. Our sitter got snatched up right before we asked, and could only come for day visits, but we'd have to leave him alone every night--also no ideal. We reached out to PC and they were full, but promised to add us to their wait last. Lo and behold, almost immediately a space became available. Thankfully we were prepared and all of our tests were confirmed (double check their requirements ahead of time!), so we had our staffy/lab mix set for a 4-night stay. They actually ended up asking him to come a day early, because they were having some electrical work done the next day, and offered to comp us the night + food, since we'd only prepared food for the 4 nights before we left on our trip. This worked out nicely, because he was set to stay one night alone at home, but didn't have to. We appreciated being able to order our dog spring water for his stay, and book him some hour-long walks. Knowing PC had created a space for pets to be guests instead of prisoners made us feel so much better about leaving G. Joshua was very sweet and sent us pictures to let us know how our dog was doing. He even took extra care to give G some alone time, because he sometimes felt like being with humans only. When we got our baby back, he was clean, happy, healthy, and tired (that's what you want!). I have a 125lb Newfoundland that usually gets groomed monthly. Because we have been at home for the past couple of months, his undercoat got matted and he needed a pretty drastic cut. Josh was great about communicating and updating me throughout the day. My only complaint was the price. We first started taking our dog to the Pet Concierge for boarding about 2.5 years ago, around the summer of 2015. I live outside the Pittsburgh area, and a couple of years ago, I was here visiting family when one of my two dogs was very sick. We needed to board the other dog while tending to her care. I was apprehensive about choosing a place, because the other dog is a rescue with a lot of anxiety and fear. We spoke to Bob on the phone before bringing our dog in, and Bob was very receptive to meeting our dog and invited him to stay there. Everything worked out great. Bob was so cool about meeting our fearful dog. He was professional on the phone and our dog Lucky came back to us happy. All of the staff I've encountered at Pet Concierge has been professional, dog-loving, and really seem to know what they're doing. I love how they give daily report cards and even include a photo in some cases. My dog doesn't like swimming, but they even have a swimming pool there for those who do. They are also really good about keeping up with updated records for each of the dogs they board, so you know your dog won't come back with kennel cough or anything else unseemly. All in all, it's the one place I can rely on in the Pittsburgh area for good quality service at a reasonable price and in a great location. Basically, it's like boarding your dog at a friend's house. I am so pleased with the care they provided for my 2 dogs Milo and Mowgli. My pets are important to me. In the past, I sent my pets to commercial kennels when I went away, and I came back to filthy, traumatized animals. At Pitt Pet Concierge, they treated my pets as if I were caring for them in my own home. I needed to house them there for a month due to me moving. The owner was very friendly and kept me up to date on how my pets were doing. He kept the active and followed there schedule to a tee. Upon, picking up my dogs, the were completely happy and healthy... Just how I left them. They also got to be around other friendly dogs which help the socially. Two months ago, I had a reservation to board my dog at PPC. I sent all of his vaccination records, and his medical information, including that he has seizures. He hurt his leg and I was not able to get him there (long story). PPC was helpful in the process, but it did not work out. My dog was again scheduled to board with PPC again last month. They still had all of his records, including that he has seizures and takes meds for them. NINE HOURS BEFORE I was to drop him off, I RECEIVED A TEXT FROM THEIR VET TECH AT 2:15 A.M!!! She said that she HADN'T NOTICED before now that HE HAS SEIZURES! Because of my dog's medical condition, he would need to be under medical care while there and the cost went up from $520 to over $760! All this in the middle of the night! Why in the world was she just noticing this THEN, especially since he was scheduled to stay with them a few weeks before? And why in #%@!! Was she texting me at this late hour, so close to his drop off time? They were too disorganized and careless for me to trust them to care for my dog. I cancelled. And then when I tried to log in to get his vaccination info to share with another kennel, they locked me out of my account!! Good news, I found a FAR better kennel that charged much less and provided excellent care! read more

Can't speak highly enough of these folks! We have a senior dog who we adopted at age 10, and needed a place for him to stay while we were on vacation. The idea of putting him in a kennel sounded terrible for our old man. Our dog walker recommended PPC and we are so glad they did. Instead of cages and concrete floors, our pup gets a home, lots of time outside, and lots of love from the staff. I feel so comfortable leaving him there, because I know he will be well cared for and happy. And it sounded silly to me at first, but the daily updates and photos we get sent while boarding him are awesome! Gives me peace of mind to see him happy and healthy. We've used PPC a bunch of times now, and I wouldn't even think about boarding our pup anywhere else at this point. This was our first time using Pittsburgh Pet Concierge. The reviews were glowing and it was close to our home- we were sold! Our pet (Theo, a golden retriever) is rarely boarded, so we have a lot of anxiety around the process. Pittsburgh Pet Concierge completely eased our anxieties from the beginning. We received thorough preparation emails for Theo's stay, and when I dropped Theo off the staff members were incredibly kind and professional. Theo only stayed one night, but we still received three photos of him during his stay which were such a treat! We paid for a bath and de-shedding to occur right before we picked him up. Theo looked incredible and seemed so happy! He wasn't maladjusted when we brought him home. Overall, we will 100% continue to bring Theo to Pittsburgh Pet Concierge. I have a very-senior dog, and needed to take him to a place that would give him more care than just putting him in a crate. I love that PPC lets the dogs roam free around their home, allowing my old guy to keep moving instead of stiffening up in a crate. They're also aware of his mobility/stair-climbing issues, and make sure he stays safe and comfortable. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and wonderful to deal with. We needed a place for our dogs to hang out at and this was the absolute best choice we could have made. My girlfriend dropped the dogs off and told me how great the place seemed so I had to see it for myself. This is basically a house for dogs to enjoy themselves in, what more could a dog ask for? The staff even sent us a picture of the pugs playing when we were out. This is the kind of place that any dog owner can feel comfortable bringing there dogs too. After reading the 1 negative review that was left, it seems that some people just don't know what to check for when being a dog owner, dogs get sick just like people do and you can't throw the blame at a place like this that is clearly clean and run by people who love animals. My wife and I have taken our dog here multiple times when we are travelling. Every single time, she has an absolute blast. Pittsburgh Pet Concierge does a fantastic job, gives us regular updates via their website, which include photos and information about how our dog is doing each day. Not once has she ever had a problem while staying there, and she always comes home tired and happy. They are also really good about letting us know when the groomer will be there, so if our dog is staying while the groomer will be visiting, they make the offer to have our dog groomed, which is always nice. read more

Our cat stayed in the cat apartments for 5 days and we received daily updates about how she was doing along with pictures. We felt reassured that she was getting the best care while we were on vacation. We had never done any kind of boarding for our 3 pups so we were extremely hesitant to do so, but needed the service as we were going on a week long trip. We had called a few places around the Pittsburgh area but Joshua at Pittsburgh Pet Concierge was so attentive and helpful from the very beginning which made this place really stand out. From the registration, to the transparency and the attentiveness, it really is a 5 star experience from start to finish. We live in the north hills but will drive the extra 25 minutes every time. They make the process so easy and Joshua kept us updated every single day with photos, videos and questions. They were so happy and relaxed. The dogs do not sleep alone in cages, they have someone with them at all times, which was huge for us. I could go on and on and on about the experience that we had with them but I will sum it up by saying that if you choose any other boarding service in the Pittsburgh area, you're truly doing your pups a disservice!! We board our dogs here every.single.time we travel. One is a high trauma rescue, and she has no issues at all being here. We love the pet diary updates we get while we're traveling. Our dogs happily go right in when they realize where they are and sometimes don't want to leave. We absolutely trust Bob and his employees with our fur babies unconditionally. I'm soooo in love with this place! I wish you guys were in my city. I was traveling and need a place for my dogs to be supervised for a few hours on a Saturday. I contacted them Thursday evening and was able to set everything up via email. They responded super quick, never left me waiting and was able to answer all of my questions. As someone who comes from a kennel background, and currently works in a vet, I feel like I am super picky when it comes to babysitting my furry kids. The staff here puts your mind at ease for sure. During their stay I receive a photo of them hanging out in what looks like the most exciting doggy back yard I've ever seen. The best part about this place, aside from the excellent pet care, is the fact that its a house. Your dogs get to roam a house/backyard which takes the stress of a kennel environment out of the question. We were delightfully surprised to find this facility! Bob was great to work with and we felt like we were leaving our dog in good hands. Our dog is a member of our family and has free region of the house, so kenneling him was rough on us and him. It was a little unnerving driving up to an actual house, but our dog felt right at home, and we were impressed about how organized everything in the house was. Bob does an amazing job making sure that our pup got along with the other dogs, and we felt great about everything after doing the "meet and greet" where we got to see where the dogs stay, and know he's be well taken care of. We have never felt better and and less apprehensive about boarding him a very welcome change! Plus, we got email updates while we were out of town which made us happy too! Not sure about the negative review but my dogs were treated like family by Bob. I was definitely skeptical about boarding them because I have never had to before. I dropped them off for two weeks and was able to go check on them a few times during their stay. There are a lot of friendly regulars that you meet on their way in and out and they all had great things to say about PPC. Plenty of happy dogs getting picked up was the proof. My dog Bella has a play date at PPC one to two times a week and we both LOVE it there! They treat all the animals there as if they were their own. I wanted a place for Bella that was like our own home not a sterile cage and at PPC she can roam around and play with her friends freely under the watchful eye of an experienced dog trainer! As pet owners its very difficult to feel comfortable boarding your furbaby. My husband and I have been faced with the need to do so twice in the year and a half and struggled both times. The first time we used a local chain that was adequate. Our doggie Gizmo returned to us safe and sound, however the live feed showed a sad mopey doggie who was not engaged during the full day of doggie daycare without human interaction, toys, or play. So when the 2nd need to board him came along we researched additional options and came across Pittsburgh Pet Concierge. I asked more questions to the ownership prior to booking his stay and was more than satisfied with the answers, policies, and philosophy. During our little guys stay we received daily updates including photos and details on his eating, sleeping, potty behaviors, and socialization. The photos showed a much happier pup the the prior stay at another location. We were already pleased, but when we picked him up, while he was excited to see us, he was also so loving with Tammy, who brought him out to us it warmed our hearts. When I first read online about this place it sounded amazing. Pictures were great, the staff was friendly over the phone. They were available on the dates that I needed to board my dog so I immediately booked it. They said they would text you updates and pictures. I was happy to leave my dog there When I dropped him off the girl that took him back was very pleasant. I left a bag of dog food and 2 cans of soft food for him along with some belongings. However when I asked for them too see where the dog would be staying she said that she couldn't do that and maybe when I picked him up I could see the house and yard. During the weekend stay I never got any updates or text messages from them. The day I picked up my dog he seemed fine. He was happy but eager to get home. I asked agin if I could see the house and yard and again they told me no. I was furious. When I got home the bag of dog food and cans of dog food were untouched. I don't know what they fed him or if they fed him. Nothing had moved in the belongings bag either. The blanket was exactly as I had folded it. Then that night he started with extreme diarrhea. Crying in pain. This persisted for days until I took him to the vet. He had popped all over the house multiple times. Having to go outside every hour or two. Bet started him on medications but 4 days later he is still struggling. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never take my dog there again read more
