I had never boarded my dog before, but was told by both my vet and a few dog owner friends that DogWorks Ranch was the best in the Northwest.

So I finally reached out, did the application process, scheduled Bruno's Interview and now Camp Bow Wow will be our first choice from here on out. There are a lot of requirements but in the end I'm so happy they are as detailed as they are!! If we had to go through as much as we did to get Bruno approved that means everyone else did too. LIVE FEED: YESSSS I love love love this perk of Camp Bow Wow. I can peek in at my fluffy boy at any time to see what he is up to, see who he is playing with etc. EMPLOYEES: I have been to many places that involve dog lovers but the employees at Camp Bow Wow LOVE and appreciate every little and big dog there. They have the patients, the love, the drive, to be around these hyper pups ALL DAY LONG. NEVER ALONE: One amazing thing that stands out to me about Camp Bow Wow is that there is someone with your pup that is Dog CPR Certified AT ALL TIMES when they are in the play room. YES, AT ALL TIMES. ^__^ All of our pups get a LOT of attention. WA LOCATIONS: As of right now I think Monroe is the only Location in WA State. Cant wait till more locations open up so we can plan road trips around Camp Bow Wow. Bellingham would be a great place to have one. That would be a great one for those Canadian travelers. ^__^

I brought my dog in for his first time interview and had a concerning experience. While reviewing…read morethe video cams tons of times through his two hour visit, I had noticed that there wasn't much supervision in the play area. My dog was separated from the main group with two other dogs in an empty kennel. All other workers were supervising other kennels and had only visited within the first twenty minutes. This felt concerning to me as this was my dog's first visit here, and the first time meeting these other dogs. I felt first time visit supervision should've been taken more seriously as these dogs are unfamiliar with each other. During that time, there were many urine spots on the floor that were not attended to and continued to be spread all over the floor. Lastly, the dog he was paired with continued to show inappropriate aggression towards my dog as I noticed through the cam. Open mouth, ears back, cornering behavior, while my dog was pushed against the wall. During those times and after, no supervision or redirection was given as they did not notice and no one was present. My dog is a very non confrontational skiddish guy and will not correct if he is uncomfortable, they were aware of his behavior prior, said he did great and that there were no issues whatsoever with him or any dogs. He also attends daycare regularly at another private daycare facility and has no alarming behavior with friends. With the unsanitary conditions and inappropriate behavior as well as a lack of supervision I would feel uncomfortable leaving my dog in their care again. The staff were nice, helpful, and welcoming; great with the scheduling process yet that's the only thing I can take away from the visit.

He was good around other dogs in the home, but as soon as we were in public, he would lung and try to attack other dogs. It was not only stressful, but also embarrassing! I decided to hire Tom for 4 sessions and see if my pup Murphy still needed additional help. I also opted to meet Tom at his property in Renton instead of my home as he owns several large, high performance breeds and I wanted my dog to have exposure to them. I immediately started to notice a change in Murphy after our first visit. Tom offered practical, easy to use tools and commands, and showed me how to consistently implement them. He is an excellent teacher, flexible to work with, and his methods are very effective. He gave me confidence in my abilities to train my dog, and the desire to want to continue with individual training at home and outside the home. Now I have a dog I am very proud of and happy to take with me wherever I go. Murphy is still working on socializing, but I am happy to report we have visited several off leash dog parks, coffee places, Home Depot, and all different trails and walks through our neighborhood. He responds to my commands, and is a much happier dog because of his training. I would highly recommend Tom & TM Dog Training! Thank you Tom!

Martha came over and did a comprehensive assessment and gave us some tools to practice and use. We went for a trial run around the block and our Sid was like a new dog immediately. It was nice because we were able to get the training done in one session, approximately 4-5 hours. She was respectful of our home and safety and wore her mask inside. The next time a friend's dog came over I was able to confidently address the behaviors I didn't like (relentlessly chasing and jawing at his neck) and within a few minutes she was racing around the yard chasing AND being chased, pausing for a rest break/water break/a head scratch, and attentive to me. Thanks Martha!!

I've been listening to Martha Norwalk on the radio for years, but never dreamed I would need her. Within 15 minutes of her walking through the front door, 'Max' was paying attention. After our local training place closed we were looking for other options and committed to positive reinforcement training. Unfortunately a lot of trainers use aversives, especially with large strong dogs. We were so excited to find Julia, and after our meet & greet we were confident she was a good choice. Julia did a 2 week board & train with our dog while we were traveling, mainly focusing on leash skills and practicing calm behavior around exciting things. We noticed an immediate improvement, but have also been continuing to work on the training at home after our follow up. I'm happy to report that we are continuing to see improvement using Julia's methods.
