Tom's experience with dogs and especially German shepherds was obvious the second he started working with her.

I am so glad our dog can run around, sniff, play, and be outside all day as opposed to other dog boarding places where the dogs stay in kennels for a good part of the day. We will be repeat customers! (Side note: CCC does NOT use shock collars as has been alleged by some other reviews. CCC sent an email to all their clients that said this: "It's important to emphasize that training collars are a training aid, not a punitive measure; they should never be used as a form of punishment or cruelty. We exclusively use the beep or vibrate functions to capture a dog's attention, and we never administer shocks. Training collars help dogs that struggle to shift their focus during intense play or display inappropriate behavior that could lead to issues. Every client is informed about our training approach at the beginning of our services through our intake paperwork. Our primary responsibility is to make decisions that ensure the safety of the dogs in our care while providing a fulfilling free-range experience. We implement the most effective correction techniques tailored to each dog's needs." and also "When we notice unwanted behaviors, we follow a specific protocol for every dog. First, we will leash the dog and walk with it to redirect its energy and behavior. If that doesn't work, we will move the dog to a different yard or play area to see if the new environment or playmates will influence its behavior. If that step is unsuccessful, we will put the dog inside for a timeout or separation for about 20 minutes. If all these steps fail to redirect the dog's behavior, we will then resort to the training collar option.")

Posting to warn other dog owners who use boarding facilities. I picked up my dog from Creekside…read moreCountry Canines on Monday morning to a horrific sight. A shock collar was discovered on my dog jammed so tight on his neck that both my husband and the male employee had significant difficulty removing it. The employee at pickup did not disclose the use and was going to allow us to leave with this collar still on our dog. There was no communication during his stay that this type of discplinary action was necessary and it was a complete shock, since we have used the boarding service several times and our dog's behavior has only been praised. A single finger couldn't even fit underneath it. The employee on duty had to physically choke, pull, and wrestle my dog to get it off causing him severe distress, flailing, and yelping. He was inside of an unsupervised crate with this device and staff have not disclosed how many days this device was used. We have tried to communicate with the owner directly, and have been told three very different explanations regarding the use which shows deception and lying. Leaving an improperly fitted, high-pressure correction tool jammed on a confined dog unattended, with zero shift logging or handler handoff is negligence, plain and simple. When confronted with these safety failures, the owner doubled down with deflection rather than addressing why my dog was wrongly subjected to unmonitored equipment and choking under their roof. Formal complaints has been filed with Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC), along with deceptive business practice reports with the WA Attorney General. Save your dogs the trauma and avoid sending your dog to this facility.

It appears animal control has not taken any action and has allowed this constant non stop intimidation. My dog is likely permanently damaged. I used this kennel for decades. I realize now other issues had happened. If you report animal abuse, be prepared to receive two weeks of lies, horrific designed to upset you, it did, it caused me panic attacks. It involved conspiracy of both owners and another. Witnesses and video of two different animal abuses, one I was shown, the staff thought it was funny, (now no acknowledge of it) the second, the video system did not work. The chances of this happening just to my dog. Is slim and none. I have been an animal activist my whole life. It appears no action has been taken, I have submitted all information and they have allowed this continual conspiracy and intimidation. I need to go above Soos Creek and animal control. This cannot happen to another dog and then upon report the non stop conspiracy and intimidation to the owner. Carol B Schroeder

The breed of my puppy is naturally not trusting of strangers, and our instructor made sure to never push our pup into anything she wasn't ready for. For puppy kindergarten, she also allows you to attend multiple classes each week, for no additional cost! We definitely took advantage of this since our pup started out very shy of dogs as well. She's an extremely patient instructor, and typically will go over 2-4 different things each class. She also introduces a different agility item each class, to socialize the pups to the equipment. There's normally 2 puppy playtimes each lesson, one at the beginning and at the end. I'm appreciative that she also locks the doors at all times, to avoid any accidental escapes. The only critique I could give is that sometimes the lessons can be a little disorganized and can get side tracked a bit, but overall the lessons are fairly cheap. Also, I noticed this comes up as an Auburn company, but our lessons are out of the Kent Memorial Park building on Central.

Jennifer is wonderful!!!…read more My husband and I signed our pitbull up for her "fiesty fido" class because she was getting into a habit of pulling when she would see another dog. This was unacceptable behavior for us because she needs to be on her best behavior at all times. It was getting to the point where I would avoid another dog if one was walking on the same side of the street. Jennifer is very knowledgable and you can tell right away her years of experience with working with many different breed of dogs. She likes to keep her class limited to a certain amount of dogs to make sure that she spends the appropriate amount of time to work on each dogs issues and our concerns. I heard of a dog training class nearby that sprays the dogs face with water or bitter liquid in order to get them to stop doing bad behavior. This was not the way that I wanted to train my dog and traumatize her. Jennifer does not believe in that sort of negative reinforcement. Our dog has learned so much already and she is not even done with the classes. My husband and I have seen a HUGE improvement on her behavior and have learned many training tips that have proved to us that they really do work! Pick of the litters pricing is VERY reasonable and is a great investment to having a better dog.
