Ohhhh what a time we had! The amazing Paige made sure we enjoyed every bite and taught us a lot…read moreabout the food of Nashville, as well as the backstories on how they came to be! She even provided the back stories of the historical churches & buildings we passed on our way to each location. She was sweet, hilarious, spunky and after telling her ALL 12 of our names just once - she remembered them all, the entire 3 hours we were together! We enjoyed ourselves so much and I'm so grateful we signed up - I honestly don't think we would have received the same experience of Nashville if we had just gone to these places on our own. We stopped off at 5 different eateries, all were pre-picked for us so we had no idea where we would be going. Unfortunately, not all of them struck me as worthy of a second visit but it was new to us (except for Prince's, we had stumbled upon them the day before, whoops) and I will say I'm not the biggest sweets fan but the Goo Goo cluster was the perfect way to end the tour! Thank you Paige & Walk Eat Nashville!

We hit spots that I didn't even think we get to - she was kind enough to help us find a place to hang out our last day while killing time for the plane !

We were very pleased with this! Our guide was Sami and she was awesome! Everything was smooth. She was very knowledgeable. Our stops were the Acme Feed & Seed and had ribs with Mac and cheese, collard greens and coleslaw, next we went to Merchants, which was definitely my kind of place. They gave us wings, popcorn and these delicious deviled eggs and a locally made beer. Next we went to Cerveza Jacks. They had live music and served us an amazing strawberry lemonade cocktail. It was my favorite. We also got a Nashville hot chicken taco. Then we went next door to Mike's ice cream and had the vanilla with fudge chunk ice cream. So good. Then we went across the way to Praline's by Leon. We were given a salted caramel and a whiskey infused praline. Both were good. BUT, the pralines at Savannah candy kitchen are better (sorry). Last we went to Standard Proof Whiskey company to finish the tour with cocktails. My husband had the coffee whiskey old fashioned and I had the wildflower rye cocktail. Only one improv to recommend. To make individual portions for the number of people attending instead of group shared plates. Personally I don't want people I don't know touching my food. It's also harder to divide everything fairly.

Hubs actually was exploring our route and discovered this place so we bookmarked it in case we had time. Both times we visited, we were kind of strapped for time so we have yet to go on the tour. They do allow for tastings of their many boozes but they limit it to 6 or 8, which is very smart. I think we did not have that many our recent trip. Since we purchased 6 bottles our first trip (they give a discount for 6+ bottles), we were already familiar and wanted to try some of their new items. Both times we visited, we brought in our dog and she received a lot of attention. They have dog toys so of course I had to buy her one each time. Now those are really expensive! The prices vary for their bottles, maybe averaging about $55. Some are cheaper and many are more expensive than that. They also sell merchandise in the same room you do the tastings. We never have time but they do free tours and I wanna say they last about 45 minutes. It is in the middle of nowhere so it's not like you can make a day out of it any stay in town, while filling up an entire itinerary for a day. We really enjoy their bourbon and keep stock of the Blueberry and Mint Julep flavored bourbons. Everyone is always hospitable when we visit and that motivated us more to support them!

The sweet girl at the register was friendly and gave us some good tips. We ordered a pimento cheese and bacon, the Italian and the turkey bacon avocado. We also got tomato bisque and pasta salad for our sides. I love vinegar, but the pasta salad was too much. Almost like Italian dressing had separated ans it was straight vinegar. Not edible. Tomato bisque was very good, but a little salty. I would absolutely dip a grilled cheese in it! I do not know what possessed my child to order the pimento. I did try it, but have no idea what it should taste like so ....I can't really review. The Italian was GREAT. Melted cheese was a surprise but I loved it. So, everyone raved about the turkey bacon avocado. I thought it was ok. The bacon didnt have any flavor, but the avocado was perfectly ripe. Its a cute little shop and adjoins the gift shop next door. Lots of indoor seating for when it gets colder, but we sat at the picnic tables outside since it was such a beautiful day.
