This little detour was a fun discovery. We actually have visited this place twice, years apart. Our first visit was somewhat planned. Hubs actually was exploring our route and discovered this place so we bookmarked it in case we had time. Both times we visited, we were kind of strapped for time so we have yet to go on the tour. They do allow for tastings of their many boozes but they limit it to 6 or 8, which is very smart. I think we did not have that many our recent trip. Since we purchased 6 bottles our first trip (they give a discount for 6+ bottles), we were already familiar and wanted to try some of their new items. Both times we visited, we brought in our dog and she received a lot of attention. They have dog toys so of course I had to buy her one each time. Now those are really expensive! The prices vary for their bottles, maybe averaging about $55. Some are cheaper and many are more expensive than that. They also sell merchandise in the same room you do the tastings. We never have time but they do free tours and I wanna say they last about 45 minutes. It is in the middle of nowhere so it's not like you can make a day out of it any stay in town, while filling up an entire itinerary for a day. We really enjoy their bourbon and keep stock of the Blueberry and Mint Julep flavored bourbons. Everyone is always hospitable when we visit and that motivated us more to support them! read more

This is the friendliest distillery I've ever been to. Eddie was awesome. And they accommodate handicaps with wheelchairs, even the bathrooms. The whiskeys are as fine as they are in Ireland. Put this on your places to visit. Don't miss out! read more

We took a detour on our travels and found this very nice distillery. There are marker signs on I-24, but you should rely on GPS instead of markers once you get off the interstate. It is a nice drive through pretty country to get to the actual distillery. The driveway and parking area is gravel. It is nicely graded so walking is not difficult. I didn't see any specific handicapped parking spaces, but none of the parking is marked. There is a ramp on the back side of the building to get into the tasting area without stairs, but it is not well marked from the front. The tasting room is warm and inviting. The staff was outstanding. We were able to try several offerings and gained a lot of information on the process and the various flavors they have. It would be near impossible to not find something you like here, and the staff works very hard to make sure you enjoy your visit. We walked out with quite a few bottles and certainly plan to stop again when our travels take us this way. read more

But it while you can. I also grabbed a very limited run of Dark Fired Whiskey. Only 84 bottles available. I also love the St. Elmo's Fire. Needed some sunshine and decided to go back to one of the most fun places in this area, MB Roland. The day was beautiful. It was a great day just to go on a tour and see the flowers, cats, dog, and views all around MB Roland. Tasting is free with tour. You only get to sample 7 drinks :( . My favorite one was the KENTUCKY AZUL. This 100% Blue Agave spirit is pot distilled and then rested gently in our Kentucky bourbon barrels. It is tequila with a smooth flavor, zing, and a buttery taste. I bought a bottle of it. I usually don't care for tequila except for mezcal. This one was very exceptional. My second favorite was the mint julep. The tour guide name was Shell. She was very nice. The rest of the staff was very professional and nice too. MB Roland is one of the top go see places to bring friends and family to in the Fort Campbell area. read more

This was one of 3 distilleries that we visited. If you do the tour to all three, you get a souvenir shot glass and a stave from a bourbon barrel with three notches drilled in to set your shot glasses on. It's smaller and a little more rustic than the other two distilleries on the tour. They had plenty to sample include limited edition for the Solar eclipse. That was my favorite and was hand signed. I also enjoyed their Pink Lemonade liquor. The young man we first met was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Suddenly, a young lady took over and seemed blasé about having to help us. She definitely did not have the knowledge that the young man had. Most of the bourbons were not much to our liking. They also did not have the shot glasses, but they mailed them to us about two weeks later, which was appreciated. We did enjoy ourselves but left a little deflated compared to the other two distilleries read more

Beautiful, excellent stop. Tasty whiskey- very excited for them to keep innovating. Love the smoked whiskey and want to see more of that. Trying these whiskies in tiny plastic thimbles feels disrespectful to them. Would have vastly preferred something in glass. And for doing a tasting with just about everything at cask strength, it would have been ideal to have water glasses that were larger than 2oz plastic containers that you typically see used for ketchup. On the plus side, between the small proportions and the alcohol, I walked out feeling like a giant. Greatly enjoyed the feel of this place and look forward to returning one day. They did, so we went! Eddie our tour guide was great. It was educational, fun, and the tasting was incredible. I'm a big bourbon fan so it was nice to see all the science behind the process. This place is on the KY/TN border distillery tasting tour. We picked up a brochure about the stateline tour (which references MB Roland) at a different distillery outside Clarksville and decided to make a weekend out of it and hit them all. We are very glad we did! The MB Roland place might be the smallest operation, but it is the most scenic and has the prettiest land where their distillery is located. They also have a fun tour and grounds (along with a very friendly pup that likes to fetch his ball while on tour with new folks). They did let us get a slushy-type drink and carry it along with us on the tour, which made the experience even more fun. While MB makes TONS of products you can sample and try at their tasting bar, at the end of the day it was their unique and superbly delicious (SUPER SPICY) Cinnamon and cayenne moonshine (St Elmo's Fire) that made huge fans out of us! If you go, you must try this, just don't buy them out of their product! We can't wait to get back up there and get several more bottles to stock up. The grounds and facilities were a little drive off the highway but well worth it. Everything was neat, clean and well-groomed on the grounds and just overall beautifully kept. The tour was very nice and well organized... our guide, Mahlia did a great job leading the tour and explaining all the details and making it fun even for our kids with the science and the smells. The tasting was interesting and the impact to the flavors are amazing with just a small tweak here and there. Needed a break from driving on our way to Nashville so we got off the Interstate for a little whiskey tasting. We listened to a very informative 10-minute presentation on all of their products and then were able to taste four of their many wares. The samples were small but there was no charge. Tours are also available. The setting is beautiful and the staff were all very friendly. This stop was well worth our time and I highly recommend it. read more
