    I took my baby girl to Petco for her haircut and got turned away because she needed to be shaved with a "surgical blade" what?!?! Took her to the doggie boutique to see if they could help and book an appt. They did one better, they took in my Sparkle girl in as a walk in and took the best care of her. Thanks ladies!!!!

    This is BY far, the BEST Dog grooming Salon in all of Eastern MA!…read more I was so sick of going from salon to salon and getting charged as much as 85$ for a small dog and still hating the hair cut - and a friend told me about Stoughton Groomers! The staff is Top Notch and they are inexpensive and offer incentives to come back within 4-6-8 weeks to keep the dog groomed well - and these insentives are discounts on their already very low prices! If you recommend someone you also get a discount prize at check out! I have a Bichon who has come out looking like a SHOW dog and believe me, she is not - and I have an adult schnauzer and now a 14 week old Puppy who just got her first Big Girl hair cut and they did a great job and they said she was an angel on the table. She's teething right now, so I know they are probably just being nice about all her nipping, but If I had a Blow Horn, I'd tell the whole World about this Shop. Due to these circumstances she is a little skiddish around other dogs and the staff here took the time to put away the other dogs just so my pup could get her nails trimmed. The staff is friendly and accommodating AND they did an amazing job trimming Frankies nails. They are the only people to have clipped them and not make them bleed. I'll be coming back here for many years!

    Furry Tails is exceptionally disorganized, lacking in accommodation, and the staff is unfriendly. I…read moreshudder to think of the experience our dogs endure when separated from their owners and entrusted to this establishment's care. Upon reaching out for services, I encountered a receptionist, Lynne, or onboarding staff member who exhibited inflexibility and lacked clarity regarding the availability of days for my dog's care. Despite claiming to be "almost at capacity on Tuesdays and Thursdays," they were evasive about providing alternative days, showing a prioritization of their convenience over accommodating paying customers like myself. Moreover, they failed to establish a designated time for pickup or drop-off, leaving me to initiate communication for this vital information. Their response indicated a vague pickup window of "probably between 9:45 and 10:15." On the day of service, despite providing my precise address, including apartment number, and contact number well in advance, I received a call from the receptionist at 10:38 a.m., exceeding the initially provided pickup window. By the time I reached the designated spot, the driver, who coincidentally was also the owner Neal, had already departed. Upon contacting the receptionist, I was met with the explanation that the driver "waited for a second and then had to leave because he was on schedule." However, their scheduling should have allowed for minor delays, especially considering the substantial one-hour pickup windows already established. Furthermore, the receptionist attempted to shift blame onto me, stating that the driver was unaware of my apartment complex and lacked my direct contact information. This assertion is unfounded, as I had provided detailed information including my apartment number, and the receptionist had my contact details on record. Their refusal to take responsibility and insistence on blaming the customer instead of acknowledging their organizational shortcomings is disappointing, particularly for a business claiming 20 years of experience. As this incident occurred on our first day of service, I expected a modicum of grace and professionalism. However, the receptionist's conduct and subsequent blame-shifting left much to be desired. Their assumption that all customers reside in single-family homes further underscores their lack of consideration for varying circumstances. Based on this experience, I cannot in good faith recommend this business, and I am relieved that my dog was not subjected to their care. Update to review: I received an email from the owner, Neal, with an apology about the incident and not seeing the apartment number. I appreciate the follow-up and i think its a good learning experience for everyone."

    I have been taking my dogs there for years. It is the closest you will find to taking care of them…read moreyourself. Everyone who works there is fabulous and such a dog lover. Julie the owner, I just cannot say enough about her. She is one of a kind and an incredibly caring, wonderful person. Recently I took our 2 labs to be boarded while my husband was having surgery. My older lab who was almost 12 developed an emergency medical condition (she had underlying medical problems), Julie notified me there was a problem and rushed my dog to the emergency room. Unfortunately my dog had to be put down and Julie was just so compassionate throughout the whole process. She had taken beautiful pictures of my dog while she was there and healthy and presented them to me and one was beautifully framed. I cannot say enough about this woman and facility and her caring staff. Whether you need boarding or your dog needs a day of play at doggie daycare, this is the place to go.

    I just had the BEST experience boarding my dog at Home Away from Home/Greater Boston Dog in Easton…read more MA! My dog has stayed there several times, but this most recent time, she developed GI issues, so they switched her to a bland diet. After 24 hours of not keeping the bland diet down, they brought her Urgent Care, where she had an xray to rule out a blockage and received fluids, anti-nausea and probiotic meds. Then they brought her back to the kennel where they got her to take her meds and she was able to keep the bland diet in. For those 2 days until I returned, they kept me fully informed, made recommendations but asked me what I wanted to do, conuslted with Urgent Care and my vet, and took care of my dog like she was their own. Jill, the owner, even gave me her cell number so I could reach out at any time, and texted after I picked up mt dog to see how she was feeling! I'm so grateful for their experienced guidance during a stressful time and the TLC my dog received there, I'll never bring my dog anywhere else and you shouldn't either!

    This was our first experience going to Weronika and was a grooming emergency. Our dog had gotten a…read moredeer tick bite and his fur was much too thick to see if he had more ticks on him or if the original bite had the telltale Lyme disease rash. I called and left a message for Weronika and she squeezed us in after hours. I didn't know what to expect when we got into her grooming salon/camper, but Weronika soon put us and our little dog at ease. (His breed is not normally clippered, but we needed to see him without his coat on). She shaved him down and I thought we were done, but no - she then gave him a flea and tick bath, dried him and used thinning shears to make sure that there were no razor marks. She even brushed his teeth, getting him to behave when I haven't had any luck at all! All the while she was talking to Odo and giving him kisses on his beady little head. She also let me know that she has a soft spot for rescues and we talked about all the rescue dogs she sees. She could not have been kinder or gentler to Odo (or us). Even though she had pressing family business, she treated Odo as if she had all the time in the world. I discovered that the only way to get an appointment is if you leave a message on her phone and she'll call you back when she is done with the dog that she was grooming when you called. Don't leave a message and you'll never get an appointment with this busy, friendly lady. Her grooming salon comes to you - we happened to go to her just this once. I can't recommend Weronika highly enough, and am now delighted that we now have a trusted person to take care of our dog. It's very rare to meet such a nice person who is also so very good at her job. 100% terrific. UPDATE: We're still having Weronika groom our dog, and we still love her. She now has clients email her to get an appointment on her wildly busy schedule, but she answers promptly and as long as it isn't the holiday season you can get an appointment fairly quickly. Even if you have to wait, she still is as loving and wonderful as ever. Our dog, who LOATHES bathing, toenail cutting, and all grooming related activities, loves Weronika, and is overjoyed when he sees her. To me, that's the best way to judge a groomer. 10/12/15

    Update #2: 4 years later and we still couldn't be happier. All you have to do is ask my dog "Are…read moreyou going to see Weronika?" and his tail starts going a mile a minute and he'll jump up and down on you in excitement. We haven't had a single negative or even neutral experience, every interaction has been overwhelmingly positive. It is such a blessing to find a groomer who you can tell genuinely loves your pup.

    I brought my 2 year old golden retreiver here. I dropped him off at 1pm. At 530 I called to check…read moreon him and they had not started to trim him yet. They called me back and said he should be done by 630. We waited in parking lot till 650 then went in. He came out was not finished, the groomer said she didn't have enough time? 6 hours?? They never took him out to go to the bathroom. He was whimpering and urinated for several minutes. I am so very disappointed in this place. Not only was it a terrible grooming job, they had him for 6 hours!! Never again!!

Tara was great but some of the other staff had attitudes, at that time. After Tara left there was a third management team. Every time I would leave with my dog he would have bloody toenails. They would quick him every time, AND not tell me! I told them that he was sensitive to his needs and that he didn't like his paws touched. I warned them about this and every time he would be quicked. A few times I would be called and he would still be a bit damp. After multiple visits the clerk/manager didn't even remember my name or the dogs name. (The other two owners did). The doggy cologne and bandanas were great, but even the bandanas seemed to stop after a while. I had to ask the last few times I visited. Hopefully someone else would take over and revamp this place!
