I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Doggie Do's yesterday. I dropped my 6 lb toy poodle off for grooming at 8:30 a.m. and did not receive notification throughout the day or at all, so I decided to call and was notified she wouldn't be ready until after 6:30 p.m. As a nurse who had worked a long, exhausting shift, I was looking forward to picking up my dog and finally heading home. I also specifically requested that she be ready by 6:00 PM, and unfortunately that request was not honored. Considering I had to drive 40 minutes to Little Rock for pickup, the lack of communication and consideration for my time is very frustrating. Upon arrival I felt the staff was dismissive and unprofessional in their response to my concerns. I was also informed that their tap-to-pay system was no longer working, which created additional inconvenience during checkout. On top of that, I was charged $64 for grooming a very small toy poodle, which felt excessive given the overall experience. What concerns me most is the well-being of my dog. I provided food and water for her while she was in their care, but when I picked her up, she appeared extremely thirsty and hungry. While I cannot say with certainty whether she was offered the food and water I provided, her condition when I picked her up raised concerns for me as a pet owner. Leaving a dog in a grooming facility for such an extended period of time comes with an expectation that their basic needs, comfort, and safety will be prioritized. I value professionalism, communication, and quality care, and unfortunately this experience did not meet those expectations. I've taken my two dogs here several times and always gave clear grooming instructions, but the results were sloppy and uneven -- my dogs looked poorly groomed and uncomfortable. I took my Australian Shepherd to get groomed specifically saying just to trim her. When I picked her up, they had shaved her! I told them they obviously didn't work on Australian shepherds. They were obviously too lazy to give her a proper cut, plus they kept her five hours. read more

they shaved my Pomeranian after I specifically told them to do a maintenance trim only, and I've told them several times to never ever shave my dog because he has a double coat, and it will be ruined forever now. read more

I recently relocated to Arkansas and was having difficulty finding a groomer that knew how to style my Yorkie in a long drop coat. I called & spoke with them beforehand & was assured they had the skill. I also requested to bring her at a time that would allow the minimum time spent there because she gets very anxious if she's crated for long periods. I arrived for my appointment, provided them a letter size picture of how she was to be groomed because a previous groomer had done a poor job grooming her ears & around her mouth. I told them I only needed her face around her eyes trimmed up, as well as her potty area & that her drop coat was fine. The pros of this groomer: 1. They did get her in & out pretty quickly. I dropped her off at 8:45 & they were finished at 12:46. 2. The building appeared clean. 3. They provided a bowl of water in each crate for the dogs. 4. They were very professional. 5. They seemed to be kind to the animals. The cons: 1. The actual cut was the worst I have ever had in all the years she's been groomed, which is 9 years. Her drop coat was cut into some sort of layered cut, which was done very unevenly. The shortest layer started at the top of her back. A drop coat is usually all the same length and not layered like this. Her face was cut shorter than I expected, had some uneven areas, but overall wasn't horrible. Her back legs and behind looked like they had been cut with some sort of razor. There were areas that were cut very unevenly & much shorter than the areas around them. Like chunks or gashes were randomly taken out. Her behind had ALL fur cut to above her tail. The only fur she has left on her entire back side is on her tail. It looks like a bobcat rear end, except with a fluffy tail. They probably do other styles of grooming ok, but I definitely do not recommend them for long coat style grooming. Great groom if you do t mind that your day stays in a cage for 8 hours. I had an appointment and took her in at 8. At 5 they just started working on her. She is an old girl and had to spend the day in a cage. When I voiced my displeasure all they said was "well that"/ the way it goes". We here is the way it goes. I will not be back and neither will my family members dogs. That"/ 5 dogs. They don't care. They have too much business and that is the problem. read more

Doggiedo's groomed my blind,deaf schnauzer for several years until he died. They were always compassionate and did a great job grooming him. So this used to be our groomer. But they have scaled down hours. My new groomer takes care of my dog on Saturday mornings. This place told me they had so much business they didn't care if they lost us as a customer. Interesting business model. I recommend a vet/groomer place close by, right off Cantrell! Won't be back. We've taken our two dogs there multiple times and it always seems to take all day even when we drop them off early in the morning. It seems as if they aren't walked or taken outside either. Recently, our cocker spaniel was shaved even when we asked them not to. The reply was that his hair was matted up and they had to but nobody called to inform us first. We would have told them to leave it and not shave him down. Ridiculous! Called ahead to see if I could get my pup in for a bath and brush and they said they could. If I would've known he was gonna be waiting in the kennel for more than a few hours to even be looked at, then I would've gone elsewhere. If anything, they could've told me to come later than they said so we could've avoided waiting around. Waited 4 HOURS and came back to the same looking curly mop dog that I dropped off. These ladies are nice but I don't even think they bathed my dog and instead spritzed some fragrance on him and brushed him out a little - if they did bathe him, then it was to the absolute minimum. His eye area still had crust on it and his face wasn't brushed at all. His fur didn't feel fluffy and clean either, just felt like he was brushed out partially. I've been using this groomer for about two years. The last time I took my dog there, they kept her from 9:00 AM until 6:45 PM. That's 45 minutes past their usual closing time and there were three other owners waiting in their cars in the parking lot too. By the time she was finally done the cut looked terrible and amateurish and she wasn't blown or brushed so she was covered in hundreds of tiny hairs which got all over the car and our clothes to the point one article had to be dry cleaned. We also had the pleasure of missing a dinner reservation because the dog wasn't ready at 6 PM as promised. (48 minutes after close) in all honesty this place has gone straight to hell in a hand basket and I will drive the extra couple of miles to Fairview groomers behind Belk on highway 10. Very disappointing to say the absolute least. read more

Do not take your dog here....I am very sorry that I did. They did a very poor job of cutting my dog's hair. They didn't blow him out straight so part of his curls got cut off and part did not.....very sloppy/shaggy looking. Also, I was quoted a price on the phone by breed and weight but when I went to pick him up they tried to charge me $5 more. At first they said because he was matted which was not true because I groom him pretty nicely myself when I have time and I had brushed him out really good the night before I took him in because I wanted him to have a good experience there. When I asked for the manager/owner/groomer that I had spoken to on the phone, she came out and told me that it was a misunderstand and it would only be the amount quoted!!! I feel like I over paid at that! I also asked her when I made the appt. if they did ears,s, anal gland and toenails and I was assured that they did. When I got my dog home I realized they had NOT removed the hair from his ears. Makes me wonder if they did the anal glads either which is very important. The front desk personal was not friendly either and never petted or looked at my dog. which I thought was a bad sign at a pet groomer. Guess I should have taken my dog home then.
