I was hired by Jenny in January (referred by a mutual friend) The first thing she did was send and pay for me to attend the dog walking academy put on by Dog Tec! I learned so much about dogs body language, behavior and positive reinforcement. I came out certified in dog walking, doggie CPR and first aid. Milo and his Mommy (me) LOVE Jenny and the folks at Dog Grrll. I chose her services because my vet, Dr. Dave at the MPH, recommended her. We've been with her for over a year and I have nothing but high marks for her doggy services! On Tuesdays and Thursdays Milo sits looking out the window, waiting for the truck and his dog friends to arrive. As soon as the truck rolls up, Milo is waiting at the door, shakin' his butt in excitement. I really like that I can trust the folks at DogGrrl to make their own decisions about what's good for Milo. Sometimes Milo is out for an our, sometimes he's out for three. He's nervous in cars so I've noticed that the team will usually put Milo in passenger seat, rather than in the back with the big dogs. He's an exuberant Boston who is totally ball focused. I think his walkers must throw the freaking ball for the whole two hours he's with them. (sung to tune of spiderman theme song) jenny test jenny test how much do i love jenny test jenny test, owner of doggrrl, is josie weiner dog's new best friend. as i've mentioned, my little weiner dog is quite the princess. however, after the arrival of her "little brother" (my 6 month old son), she wasn't getting nearly the attention or exercise she needed. and that's when i decided, for the first time in josie's 3 years, to hire a dog walker. jenny came highly recommended to me, and man, is she is a lifesaver! josie can't stop bouncing around when jenny comes to pick her up. being the overprotective mom that i am, the first time jenny came to get josie i was ridiculously worried. and for no reason at all. as evidenced by: me: "goodbye, my precious little weiner dog! have fun! don't miss me too much!" josie weiner dog: "later, mom. stop embarrassing me in front of jenny." the best part? josie comes back happy and EXHAUSTED. as jenny says, "i'm a dog walker..... not a 'dog-stand-around-er.'" josie gets super fun little dog outings to fort funston and totally resents the fact that i don't send her with jenny every single day. jenny does both little dog groups for tiny princesses and rambunctious mini-pups as well as big dog outings for medium to giant pups. she's the proud owner of big and little dogs, so she innately understands their needs. a tired dog is a good dog. and thanks to jenny, i have a very good dog. :) read more

I was referred to Jenny and DogGrrl by a friend I trust completely with all things dog. We spoke on the phone, set up a meeting and she met my boy Wiley. Love at first sight for Wiley. I was impressed with Jenny's knowledge and training in animal care and we set up a schedule for 2 walks a week. Wiley was 4 months at that point and quite a handful (Westie terrier oy vey). He was also coming off a cold where he was separated from other dogs for almost one month, so he had a good case of aggression going too. Jenny did training walks with him and in no time his aggression was gone. Jenny worked miracles with Wiley. It used to be a chore to walk him and now we have a boat load of fun. I really do believe that our Boston Terrier, Sammy, lays around all day dreaming of running free or playing fetch with the Dog Grrl "pack." Sammy tends to prefer male dogs and humans, but Jenny and her female team are the only exception. He likes them even better than he likes me! Jenny is completely reliable, and has never forgotten to pick Sammy up for his walk. She is also completely honest, making sure to fill us in on any little accidents Sammy has had so that we can monitor his health and behavior after she drops him off. With Jenny, the dogs health and happiness always come first. Sammy has been up to Jenny's farm in wine country a few weekends, and always comes back as happy and tired as we are from our trip. Jenny herself is known for her true love of all dogs, and for her exceptional devotion and care of her client's dogs specifically. Her magic with dogs is perhaps what her clients hold in highest regard, but be assured that 14 years of happy customers has also been supported by Jenny's business acumen and exceptionally professional conduct (not to mention how fondly Jenny's clients feel about her as a person). As I re-read it with my initial intent to "set the record straight," I shake my head and realize that refuting each detail would make this a silly and unnecessary rant (hmmmm). Jenny and her colleagues have been walking my Boston Terrier Phoebe for over 13 years now. Jenny is in this business because she loves the dogs. Although Phoebe is now down to 2-3 days a week as a senior dog, she still looks forward to her outings with the group. My dog LOVES her.. the second she sees her, she goes running to her, flips over and demands some heavy belly-scratching, many kisses and licks and has a huge smile on her face and a fiercely wagging tail! Jenny Test is a fabulous caretaker for my dog - for about four years now. She does dog training, weekday walks (including pick up and drop off) and boarding when I'm out of town. She is an excellent and expert trainer and only uses positive training techniques. She can very quickly shape behavioral change so that it seems as if she speaks "dog". My dog is small, sensitive and intelligent, and I put my full trust in her to keep him safe, continue to guide his training, and give him lots of exercise, cuddles and company with other dogs. The fabulous Jenny Test is loved by the dogs in her care. My little hellion Orion is a wild little adolescent boy that almost loses his mind when he sees her. She knows how to make him feel loved right back while at the same time getting him to greet her with slightly better manners, making him sit and giving him a treat. I really appreciate how she can keep him happy while improving his skills at the same time. Jenny and her crew have followed us through 3 different apartment moves. They are awesome! My dog - Boogie - is a cute (sometimes mean) little thing. He loves Jenny do death. I have never seen his little tail wag more that it does when he sees her. Anyway...she and the team are super responsible, smart, flexible, dependable, and loving. They treat each dog uniquely and with care. I know this b/c i've heard her training new walkers on how my dog she be walked up the stair b/c he is a dachshund and they should do stairs to often. Although I don't require the services of a daily or regular dog walker these days, Jenny has walked my two Great Danes in the past while we've been out of town. I can't recommend her services enough. Jenny is professional, dedicated, and takes her livelihood/business of dog walking and doggie day care very seriously. She regularly attends seminars and enrolls in classes about dog behavior and training to keep her skills as current and UTD as possible. Even though she's been a dog walker for many years, she remains open to learning new skills/techniques and is always looking to improve/enhance her understanding of dog behavior - which is wonderful, but (sadly) uncommon amongst her peers.
