This was the worst experience I have ever had with dog boarding!…read moreI signed up for the VIP service to board my dog for a few days. My dog was returned to me with a huge bloody wound on the top of her head. Nobody contacted me to tell me what happened or when. My Vet was not contacted and looks like No medical attention was given!! I had to take her to the Vet and due to an infection of the wound she required a medical procedure, antibiotics, and paid medication. I will NEVER use or recommend The Pup Camp - stay away!

Prior to today, I gathered all of the details for today's visit. The young lady stated the temperament testing was free, (I learned this was not true once I got there and signed my pup up for the day). (FIRST NEGATIVE) Prior to leaving, I had my own water bowl and water for my pup. The young lady said, oh no, we provide water for your dog. ALL OF THE DOGS DRINK OUT OF THE SAME BOWL. (I knew I should have gotten my dog and left then but I didn't). (SECOND NEGATIVE) At the conclusion of the testing, they are suppose to provide a physical report card of how well your pup did. Fast forward to the pickup. When they brought my pup out, he did not look like how I dropped him off (I'm not complaining about this because he was playing with other dogs.) BUT, he smelled like the other dogs ganged up on him and dumped urine all over him. Ohhh goodness, he was a stinky mess. I did not inquire about this, which I should have. (THIRD NEGATIVE). When I asked for the report card, the young lady goes, "oh I'm sorry, he doesn't have one because there were a lot of dogs today." REALLY?!? But you took my money with no problem. (FOURTH NEGATIVE) The moral to this story, there are too many negatives for the initial consultation so I will pass.

I'm a neurotic mess when it comes to my dogs. I have literal nightmares about bad things happening…read moreto them - and that is when I'm with them. You can only imagine how I am when I'm apart from them for more than a day. I'm not sharing this because I lost a bet. I want you to know this so that when I write, "I trust Family Tails Pet Sitters without reservation," you'll understand how big that is. I worked with Family Tails for about five years and couldn't have been happier. I wish I could have brought them with me when I relocated. They provided weekday walks, overnights, occasional weekend walks, whatever I needed. If you're lucky enough to work with Wilson, I envy you. He became the second dad my dogs never had. You won't be surprised that my three guys eat different kibble, get different treats, and have daily meds. And they're no joy to manage on a walk in good weather - bad weather is as bad as you're imagining. Wilson handled all of this without a single complaint. In fact, people in my neighborhood would occasional comment on how great he was with my guys (and how much better they behaved for him than for me). I started off just needing a walk here or a walk there. Pretty soon, though, I was using them multiple times a week because they were so good. I bet you'll have a similar experience.

We made the right decision. The folks at Family Tails were amazing. When we got back we had notes of what happened on every visit and how the kitties were doing. Our cats were so happy and in good spirits, which is not at all how they usually are when we have gone out of town in the past. You can tell that they really care about these animals, and they get to know their personalities and likes and dislikes. I would love to use Family Tails for any of my future pet sitting needs, but unfortunately I moved across the country and they don't make house visits in Seattle. :( I can easily recommend them to anyone.

I am not writing this review to tell you not to bring your pet to Central Bark Landover. I am…read morewriting it because I wish someone had warned me to ask the right questions and go in with your eyes open because what happened to my dog Sage could happen to yours. On June 25th, I dropped Sage off at approximately 7:30 AM for a supervised daycare session. At 11:30 AM I received a call that there had been an "incident." I left work immediately to find my dog with a deep, open gash beneath his eye, bleeding and in pain. Another dog in his play group had bitten him. I rushed Sage to an emergency veterinary clinic where the wound required surgical stitches to close. He will carry a permanent scar under his eye for the rest of his life. I paid upfront before they would even begin treatment. When I reached out to the owner, Mickey, seeking reimbursement and answers, I was told the incident was an inherent risk of group play and that the waiver I signed at enrollment limited their responsibility. I have not received reimbursement, and the matter is still unresolved. Also, I was told in person there wasn't any video evidence but the owner via email said that she reviewed the video evidence and can not share it with me. If you choose to bring your pet here, I urge you to: ask specifically how dogs are evaluated and grouped by temperament, ask what the supervision ratio is in the play area at all times, ask what happens if your dog is injured and who bears the financial responsibility, and read every word of the waiver before you sign it. Also, ask for a tour of the facility and how do you check on your dog when you are not around. I loved the idea of this place and I wanted it to work. But after what Sage went through and how it was handled, I feel a responsibility to share this so other pet owners can make a fully informed decision.

Their entire team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Our baby Nala absolutely loves going there, she gets so excited at drop-off, which says everything. It gives us so much comfort knowing she's not just being cared for, but genuinely loved while she's there. The grooming services are amazing. Nala always comes back looking beautiful and happy. When it comes to boarding, we have complete peace of mind. We trust them 100% to take the best possible care of our baby, and that kind of trust is priceless. It's clear that every dog there is treated like family. We feel so lucky to have Central Park Landover right in our neighborhood. We couldn't recommend them more!

We were not told he would not handle the booking until we were already within the cancellation window. We then arranged a last-minute meet-and-greet, which we were charged for, with another sitter who said she could cover our visits. On the first day, the owner moved our scheduled visit based on her interpretation of our flight information without confirming the change with us. When no one had arrived by 12:30 p.m., our dog had been alone for approximately seven hours, and I had to ask a friend to rush to our house. Only after we had left town did the owner explain that visit times were not guaranteed and that multiple sitters would rotate through our home. Over the trip, at least four sitters provided care, one morning visit was approximately an hour late, a medication dose was missed because instructions had not been communicated properly, and one sitter could not enter because the team had failed to exchange our keys. We had to provide emergency access instructions during our vacation. The individual sitters generally seemed kind and attentive. Our complaint is with the company's management, coordination, communication, and billing practices. We get mistakes happen. What made this unacceptable was the owner's consistently defensive response and tendency to blame the customer or cite policies only after a problem occurred. Prospective customers should understand that Quality Time may rotate several sitters, does not guarantee requested visit times (it's apparently a 2-hour window around your scheduled time), charges numerous add-on fees, including medication by the individual pill and charges $25 for key return. We also received add-on invoices during our vacation and felt pressured to pay them promptly while the company was still responsible for our pets' care (I know there were some duplicate and erroneous charges). After 10 years as customers, we will not use Quality Time again and can no longer recommend the company.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The Royal Canine (TRC) is a top-notch…read moreservice that provides more than a pet sitting service. My family and I went out of town for a week, and we looked into boarding our two large dogs. It would have cost almost $3000! I got online and found TRC. I reached out and received immediate response and set a meeting for the next day. The team members arrived promptly, and I could tell (as could my dogs) that they have experience working with dogs and are passionate about doing so. I shopped around for other sitters but chose TRC based on their interaction with me and my dogs, as well as what they charged for staying at my house, getting mail, and letting my dogs out regularly. When I say they went above and beyond, that is an understatement. First, I was very comfortable leaving them in my home and was pleased they brought the mail in every day. Second, they stayed with the dogs and sent at least 15 pictures throughout the course of every day and night. My dogs looked happy and showed no signs of stress. They were asked to let the dogs out regularly as our yard is fenced and don't need walking. They not only did that they also wiped the dog's feet before coming inside AND they took them for walks in the neighborhood. I was super impressed and appreciated that, as I know, the dogs had a great time. Couple that with the fact that they tidied and vacuumed before we returned home. AND, there was a stain in the carpet where one of our dogs got sick before we left and hadn't cleaned. They cleaned the spot, and it is like there was never anything there. To come home to happy dogs and a clean house left my family and me so grateful, and we look forward to using their services again and again. TRC THANK YOU! Sincerely, Irene PS.
