I started taking my Maltese to Doggy Spa because his groomer from another place moved to that location. Was able to get him in several times before another groomer closed and their business increased. Tried calling more than once a day, left messages, etc. and no one ever called back. When I did reach them, they reminded me my dog had an appointment that I had actually called to cancel. They either don't pick up messages or voicemails go into a black hole. I'm really disappointed because it is close by and my dog loves his groomer. Will have to take him elsewhere. I've been a good customer but you certainly wouldn't know it. read more

I have brought my animals here a few times (cat and dogs) and it seems to me that it just isn't worth it if it's not a dog, and then even then, it's iffy. The place is not organized, not very clean, nor friendly from my own experiences. I called and scheduled an appointment for my cat to be groomed on a day. When I walked in they asked what I was there for and apparently I didn't schedule an appointment. So I scheduled another one with the receptionist that day for the following day. I walk in the following day and they say they have no appointments and no availability. I was becoming very frustrated with this place, but it is close to home and one of the only places I know around here that grooms felines. I also try to go to small community businesses rather than corporate places. When we finally got into an appointment and they accepted the appointment my cat needed to be groomed and shaved, needless to say he was cut a few times on his skin, they cut his fur the wrong way after I said what I wanted done to his fur multiple times. They didn't even apologize about any of it or not charge me/give me a discount or anything for their own mistakes. They charged me what I believe to be overpriced in general, but here also a job not well done. I have not brought my cat back there since. We did set up a dog grooming appointment a handful of times and they went fair just again overly priced compared to others. On a different occurrence my husband brought our dog there for the basic grooming package as usual. The appointment was early in the morning and they were not done with our dog until evening, which to us seemed weird, because why is my dog needing to be there that early if he isn't even going to be "worked" on until later. I didn't pay for my dog to sit in a crate, just because they were waiting for a spot to open for him when he had an appointment for a specific time. Makes no sense to me at all. Then to top this off our oldest daughter went to pick our dog up after him finally being groomed. She said she never wants to have to go in there again we asked why and her response was the staff "looked like they were on something" and the staff was not friendly to her either. I do not recommend this place. It's sad that these were our experiences. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. IT IS NOT SAFE. I took my poodle to The Doggy Spa Jan 2021. His eye was injured while being groomed. The cut was so deep he could have lost his eye. The owner Mr. Oliveri completely ghosted me when I contacted him about the vet bill. I had file a civil suit against him in district court and I WON MY CASE!! It's been a month. The Court sent him a letter. I emailed and text him and he still won't pay me even after the court said he owed me $540. Now I have to file a judgement against him with the Court of Common Pleas!! I have brought my boxer puppy here a few times and each time I couldn't be happier. The women here are extremely friendly and loving. They will take great care of your pet. I see other comments below that were extremely positive yet only got 4 stars and not 5. This is a 5 star dog groomer. Just over the weekend I found a shih tzu that was in very rough shape. Very matted. Very long nails. Appeared to have been on the street for a long time. Well they took her in first thing Sunday morning and worked on her for 3 hours making her more beautiful then I could of imagined. When I went back in to pick her up she was In the hands of one of the groomers hugging the shih tzu. Overall experience was amazing and they gave me an extremely low price. My dog is a bit of a pain and they do a great job of putting up with his annoying barking while he is there. I think he even chewed through his leash a couple times. BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! I took my 5 lound Bichon here on January 22st 2021 he was injured while being groomed. The cut in his eye was so deep he could have lost his eye. I contacted the owner Dan Oliveri. He asked me 2 email him the vet bill which I did. He then blew me off for 2 weeks. Then he called after numerous calls and texts and he would only pay half the vet bill. I never heard from him again. He will not answer calls or texts messages. Now I am forced to file a civil suit against him. Its no longer about the money. Now it's about accountability. I dont understand how some can make money off people's beloved pets and not care if one is injured while in their care. I knew something wasn't right when I picked him up. Why would someone get that close 2 his eye with something that could cut his eye. He is tiny and helpless. He was probably scared 2 death and this man does not care at all. They had a discount because I had a shitzu but when I checked out I never got it. They are a little higher in price and I thought the place was somewhat dirty, so I cannot go back again. I have taken my dog here for many years. I am usually able to get an appointment pretty quickly, and they also accept walk-ins even though I've never done that. They always do a good job of trimming and washing my dog, and they also cut his nails and clean his teeth. It usually takes 3-4 hours for them to call me to pick him up. They've have been friendly and professional. Bring cash to tip them, as you can't do it through a credit card. Parking can be annoying if all the metered spots are taken, so I usually come early when there are many open spots. read more

Been going here for a while they normally do a good job. But after this past experience I will never return. The basic wash was fine I always bring my own shampoo he was white again and nice and clean. Still a little damp when he got home. My biggest problem is they always did his nails and trimmed the hair around his pads. Nails are still long you can hear him coming and going. Not only did they do a poor job on trimming his pads we were told when we went to pick him up that it's an extra $15.00 for the pads trim. Now remember the bath an nail trim is only $20.00. They only accepted cash now but where really nice when we didn't have it to let us come back with it. To many other places around. I for one will never return. I've brought our beagle here a number of times to get his nails clipped and last weekend we went for the full package. Bath, Clip, and Gland Express. He came back looking like a brand new dog! I mentioned that I don't like him being in the cage for an extended period of time and they suggested I make an appointment so that they can see him right away and then they gave me a call when he was finished so I could pick him up right away which I appreciated. Its almost a week later and he still smells great. For less than $20 for the whole package we might start bringing him once a month. read more

Went here after buying groupon. Needed a groomer after my move. Very nice staff. Interior not the most attractive. They did a nice job on my dogs... I wasn't completely satisfied with the style of the cut... But my pups were very clean, clipped, trimmed and happy. Where can I began... I called Doggy Spa because I was looking for a cat groomer. They came up in my search on Google. So I reluctantly called them because of the name of the business. The women on the phone told me they do groom cats but on certain days of the week. I booked an appointment and would later call back because my cat did not do so well at the vet. When I called back I express my concerns and she assured me that the atmosphere at the vet is different then at the groomers and that he should be ok. I did explain this was his first time getting groom and she said he should be ok. My husband dropped him off and I called an hour later of him being at the store. The woman on the phone said he was ok and he was taking a break after the shave and they would continue later in the day. I did not think anything of it because she NEVER express any concerns. When my husband picked him up the woman just said my cat got a little stressed out in the end and she would fix it late in the week ( 20mins top to finish) Well he looked horrible. The cut was unfinished and uneven. He still had matting near his face. The shave was uneven and clearly she needed more thank 20 mins to finish. I schedule for Saturday morning and when I went to the store the groomer was not in and she told me to be there at 9:30. I had to leave him again which was not part of the discussion. She called me later on Saturday and said my cat was violent and she had to stop for the safety of her and the other workers. She said my cat urinated and pooped on himself and she had to wash him again. All said with an attitude and no compassion for the stress my cat had endured during her visit. LET ME BE CLEAR HAD SHE TOLD ME OF ANY PROBLEMS EARLY IN THE WEEKI WOULD NEVER HAD BROUGHT HIM BACK TO THIS STORE!!!! When I picked him up I told her he was not violent but a cat that was stressed beyond of what he could endure. Had she explain to me earlier in the week or even stop the job! I would have taken him to another groomer...clearly this place should ONLY groom DOGS! Cats are more difficult hence that is why you pay 65 and higher for a cut! She NEVER apologize for her lack of communication with me and I feel as she really was over her head in grooming my cat! They have me 20 buck back ... wow... really.. cut is awful, my cat went through so much stress and that was the resolution.... NEXT TIME STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! I have used the Doggy Spa for several years and know the owner Dan who is an absolute animal lover and has the passion and love for our Angels as I do but most of all giving the client Peace of Mind in knowing your pet will be safe and well treated. I highly recommend using his hair cutting services and his daycare overnight services. He is a good man and has great staff. I just took my 2 dogs Francis and Brie for their haircuts yesterday and omg how adorable they came out and wow they did not come to us right away instead they ran over to say good bye to the staff and Francis kinda a flirt went over to say high to a special female staff member who he really liked then eventually said hi to us That made me happy because I know they were loved there seeing them say good bye to staff. People need to realize one thing pets getting their hair done can be a stressful time for them so it's important the staff know how to treat them. Of course there will be moments when people are loud or dogs act out that is part of the business and Dan makes sure his staff are in control and professional but most of all taking all measures possible to be safe for both staff and clients pets. I have been taking my Maine Coon cat, Otis, here for an annual lion cut for 3 years now and have always been impressed. I just took him in last week and he was terribly matted (he will no longer let us brush his underside without attacking). This was the worse he had ever been and I felt so terrible for him. I believe it was Amy who groomed him and she truly did an amazing job. I cannot imagine taking him to anyone else and will be returning more than once a year so he never gets like this again. I have taking my dog here for over a year, she always looks great with a one time exception. Jackie usually does a great job. She is a small poodle mix and it is really hard to do her face,she just doesn't like it. They listen to my requests my dog comes home smelling nice ,cleaned up well in the right places :) They keep a record of my likes and dislikes. I am disabled and my cat, blue is a beautiful white, longhair, purebred Himalayan it was april started getting hot I had noticed a nasty smell every where in my apartment and then I noticed my cat had fecis all over his hair omg so I got some paper towels w/soap and water and grabbed my baby and started wiping him it got worse so I got my big suitcase and put the cat in there and wheeled him out to the car drove to doggy spa no appt.
