I dropped sassy off at 9:15am was told they would call me when she was read. They called me at 3:30 said she would be ready at 5:00pm. when I got there at 4:45pm I only saw one girl clipping a dogs nail. She said I owed 65. something I paid her. When she handed me Sassy I looked at her paws she said did they not cut her pads and I said no they didn't. She took her in the back room I thought she was cutting them WRONG she didn't. Her nails weren't cut either. I asked her did they even give her a bath she said yes Wrong!! She looked just like she did when I took her in there except for the hair right below her eyes had been cut and not good. I think when she took her in the back room that's what she did. There was another person in there picking up his dog so I thought I would just call the owner the next day and explain what happened . I called two days in a row asking for a call back no call back. My groomer is retiring and I was just looking for a new groomer!!!! Just thought the owner should know what's going on there.

As I turned onto the McNeely, the stench from the filthy shop and kennels overwhelmed me. And when I entered the building I was horrified at what I saw. Mind you people had paid her to board their animals, and they were in kennels with feces covering the entire kennel, no water or food and the smell was indescribable. The dogs were elderly and when we removed them one of them could hardly walk and they both had urine burns on their bodies from laying in their own pee and poop for days. There was a kennel with 5 puppies, apparently born in that kennel and never touched grass or dirt. They were soaked in urine and poop to the point that when removed, they had to be bathed 3 times and they still reaked. They were taken to a private rescue and couldnt walk on the grass because their pads were burnt from the urine. they had been locked in that kennel fo 6 months. Then the other dogs in disgusting kennels scared to death, small dogs in small kennels stacked up or hidden and the grooming area was a whole other nightmare. Animal services removed the worst cases and filed charges. The owner apparently had gone out of town and left them. Paying clients. Moral of this story is, always always go inside and see where you are leaving your animals and who with. ask for references, Pictures and if you can smell the p,ace before you get there, DO NOT GO THERE. She is still in business because animals are property in the pathetic state of Arkansas and she got a slap on the hand while the rescue had to step in, spend their time and money to rehab, vet and de traumatiz HER animals. No consequences! This is all documented with City of Hot Springs Animal Services, Hot Springs Village Voice, FOCHIP animal rescue, a phenomenal advocate for neglected and abused animals, and the eyewitnesses that were involved in the rescue.

If I see you baby is getting stressed we will stop for a break and apply massage therapy as well as aromatherapy I also do lots of breaks for elderly dogs, it’s very hard for them to stand for long periods of time, with all new client dogs I will 1st let them get to know me by sitting in the floor and have a little “meet and greet” time, the non aggressive part of my job is that I work around your dog not the other way around, there is no hair pulling, pin brushes etc. I have been very successful in reversing effects from other “bad” grooming experiences. To me it’s about your dogs comfort, safety and health and not the vanity of a “special” cut. My client dogs are very spoiled and that’s just how I like it.

I paid them $800 as requested before the vet would see him. The vet who was there was filling in for the above vet she was on vacation. Very helpful and did all she could to save him. After 4 days his bladder ruptured and I had no choice but to euthanize him as he was in so much pain. An autopsy was performed the vet Ashley Stephen's had nicked his urethra causing his death. I truly believed that as stated by the owner they would do the right thing but now it's turned over to their adjuster to review and that person wants me to submit all records and bills and explain why I want my money back. You would think they( the clinic) would provide all records , the adjuster wants to verify I have a valid claim. They killed my baby. And this is the second puppy I've had die under their care. Well never again and if the burden of proof is on me fine I will do what is necessary to resolve this issue. Ashley Stephen's called me a week and a half after returning from vacation to offer me her condolences....seriously and stated she had been meaning to call but had been busy. Again with the BS of asking what they could do for me . When I told her same thing I told Dr. Brian silence. They were busy circling the wagons to try and cover up her negligence for her to call. Never again
