This is the best pet groomer we have every taken our dog to. Our dog is a Westie who loves to get her white coat dirty as often as she can. We take her in every two weeks like clock work and she loves the care she is given. She comes out looking great and has a great time with the other dogs there. Most places we used to take her she would pull away at the door not wanting to go in. She runs into Dogs Etc, and looks for her friends. Prices are good and results are great! read more

I have a 4 month old energetic pup named Athena and I was calling all around SCV looking for the most competitive pricing, and Dogs Etc. was on the top of my list. So I called, and I spoke to a very nice and personable woman who told me to head on over. As soon as I got there, they were welcoming and took care of me right away. Their service was quick, fairly priced, and they did amazing work! And their kind and helpful attitudes put me at ease with leaving my pup with them. Athena can be a handful because she is so energetic and constantly wanting to play, but they handled her perfectly and I'm 110% satisfied with their services. My wife Linda and I have nothing but great things to say about Dogs Etc and our darling Annie's groomer Angela. Annie just had her 17th birthday, is very deaf, nearly blind, is suffering from canine dementia and her back legs aren't doing so well but Angela and the staff treated her like the princess that she is. We also bring our Irish Setter O'Malley to see Angela and soon our Golden Retriever Flutter will be visiting. One of the best things about Dogs Etc is the fact they have multiple groomers working at one time and none of our dogs have ever had to spend much time there if any at all waiting to see their groomer as they do take appointments. Annie was completely groomed and bathed in just over 45 minutes. We've gone to others in the area where you drop your pet off and they say they will give you a call that afternoon and that could easily be 4 or 5 hours later. Dogs Etc was recommended to me several of my friends and coworkers who own dogs. I started bringing my dog 2 years ago, Brittney is awesome. My Yorkie always looks wonderful. I tried a mobile groomer once and they shaved her and tried to tell me that what a Yorkie is supposed to look like. I had previously written a review of the Facebook pagethat was deleted by the admin...aka Mitch Farber of Net Billing. Not only was it deleted but it was blocked as well. The Management was much better when Marilyn was the Manager. Mitch Farber who NEVER managed the shop has now taken over and groomers have "left" and somehow "miraculously returned" after their "promised month off". One wonders if all business's Mitch Farber runs are also run this way? Aside from the extremely poor management....the Groomers are A! despite the drama. read more

If I had yelped this grooming place 2 years ago, I would have given it one star.....for haircut on my 2 yorkies....it was awful. .However, yesterday I needed an emergency groom and I called out if desperation. This establishment is 9.7 miles from my home. It is worth the drive to give my dog, my best friend, the best grooming care in the SCV. Angela has now been grooming Woody for 3 years. She is the the most friendly and accommodating customer service person around. Woody loves seeing her, and we love seeing him when she is done. Hi I took my puppy to Dogs, Etc. when she was less than a year old, after a friend referred me. After several appointments, I was advised that my dog's usual groomer had left. I was introduced to Brittany, and my dog and I are very happy. In fact I'll say to my dog "Do you want to go see Brittany?" and she runs for her leash. I know the owner, and she's a wonderful, caring person, and not just in the way she runs her business. I was really surprised to read two recent posts when I got to this site to write my review. I'd recommend that you call in advance - not day of - to make an appointment, Make the appointment with your groomer directly. Sure there were one or two times in almost 4 years when it took longer than usual, but I've had to wait in Doctor's offices. DMV anyone? How can you take a dog "on and off" to a groomer and expect the exact same treatment as a regular customer? Kari M. You do that to your car and you'll be on a bicycle. My first experience was not pleasant due to miscommunication on my part but both my dogs looked great. I have mini Australian Shepard's with long hair that gets matted and tangled quick, went in hoping to get a short cut seeing as they are outside dogs but a little mix up and they only revived a trim. Although I knew it was my fault they did an amazing job getting all the hair and giving them a wonderful shinny coat. The second visit was a mix up through the shop, we scheduled our apt over the phone and it was either was not taken down or taken down for the wrong time. They still took the dog which was great, although what wasn't great was that they were dropped off around 12pm and not ready till 5pm. I wouldn't have minded so much except I took my dogs home and they downed a butt load of water and ran as fast as they could to pee. If the shop was too busy we wouldn't have minded coming back or rescheduling. Now today is a different story we scheduled our apt for 11:30 dropped them off and a flood of dogs came in and called multiple times and still they aren't ready. They won't be ready till 5, our apt was at 11:30. I understand being popular and having great business but they really need to work on their scheduling and understanding if they are overbooked or not. It's poor business management to over book that much. read more

Angela always takes care of our baby Charlie. He's a long haired dachshund and he gets really matted up behind the ears and she really takes the time to clean him up. He hates being brushed at home (which probably makes her job more challenging) but she always does an amazing job. I even went in just for a quick nail clipping and she took the time to brush out some of those nasty mats behind his ears. We love her! The rest of the staff is super friendly as well. read more

I met Brittany at the Bow Wow Pet Fair last October when the Dogs etc. booth was offering nail trims. I have a 13 yr old Pointer that will give two grown men a work out trying to get her nails trimmed. She's awful about it! I've tried so many places. I have even had her sedated ( although it was really due to another necessary procedure and I took advantage of the sedation and had her nails and ears done at the same time). Well this amazing woman Brittany just took over and snip, snip, refocus, snip and she was done! What??!! I've been to the shop 3x now, wish I could get there more often but a car ride isn't a favorite either, and Brittany remains the BOMB! She tells me when to come in, same day, usually within hours and she finds a moment between other pups and snip, snip, power grab, snip, maybe a little help from a friend, and she gets it done! Perfectly fair price too! As long as "Botox" is with us, she'll get her nails done with Brittany. read more

I will not be bringing my dogs to Dogs Etc anymore. I started to notice that every time I would drop my dogs off they were terrified. They would cry and try to run away. Thought this was normal at first, but it got worse. Then, I was noticing that when I would bring them home they would run to their water bowl and drink for 2-3 minutes like they had been thirsty all day long. I fully believe the dogs are in a crate in the back with no access to water while they wait. They also keep the dogs for much too long (6 hours sometimes! You know at least half of that time is them sitting there scared in a crate). The final straw was when my husband went to pick up our dogs, and Britney was finishing up our dog Lola. My husband said she was jerking her head around and being extremely rough with her. He decided then and there we were done, and I 100 % agree! Will be finding a new groomer for my sweet pups and I suggest you do the same! I now know multiple other people who have left Dogs Etc for these reasons. read more

I care for my dog as if he were my own child. I dropped by dog off in the morning and the groomer said that he would be ready in 2 hours and she will call me. I had to call her 2 hours later only to find out that it will be another 2 hours. I was livid. I raced over to the store and demanded to speak to a manager. The manager was no better in minimizing the poor service. My dog was not even groomed. Never going back here again. read more

We have been taking our dogs to Dog's Etc. since approximately 2000. Our Labrador gets brushed out & bathed. Our Bichon mix requires more grooming/requires a good shave/cut approximately every 2 months (sometimes more frequently). Our dogs are always excited & happy to visit. Bonny has always taken excellent care of our dogs and we've always been happy with the service. We've always been able to request a certain drop-off time as well as a pickup time and plan on bringing our dogs to Bonny/Dog's Etc. for many years to come! I have used Dogs Etc. several times but I will not be returning after my latest experience. I dropped my dog off at 9:30 and asked that she be cut the same as every other time They referred to her card and said they would call. By 3:30 I had not heard from them so I called to see when she would be ready. They said they needed at least until 4:30...7 hours! I asked if she had been locked up this whole time and did she have water or a bathroom break. The woman replied that she could do that "if I wanted her to". I wanted to ask her when was the last time she went 7 hours without a drink or bathroom? I arrived at the stroke of 4:30 to pick up my dog only to find her up on the table and still very shaggy in spots. Obviously, still a lot of work to do. I didn't have anything I needed to do in Newhall so I decided to wait in the lobby area and watch. I was shocked to see how the dogs were handled. I realize it was the end of an obviously long day but one girl in particular kept grabbing a little dogs face very roughly and jerking its head around while she shaved it. The dog wasn't doing a thing. The groomer was angrily complaining about her job the entire time. I wanted to jump over the counter and take that dog away from her. I know its owner did not leave it there to be treated like that. One groomer complained that she had done 11 dogs that day and was overbooked again the next day. Also, as each dog was finished it was put down on the floor which was 2 inches deep in hair. There were several people standing around...somebody...pick up a broom! Then people picked up their dogs and they were covered in loose hair. No attempt was made on any of the dogs to remove any of this hair. Not even a cursory brush with a hand. I know I love balls of loose dog hair (not even my dogs) in my car. The biggest problem was the rough handling of the animals and constant angry complaining... and that was with me standing there. I cringe to think what its like with no customers in the room. I will be finding someplace where they actually like dogs next time. Very unprofessional !! read more
