TyCalK9 - Puppies I had gotten trained years ago!

I am extremely disappointed with this stay-and-train program. It was by far the most expensive dog…read moretraining option I found, and unfortunately my dog came home with little to no improvement. Honestly, I could have taken him to a basic puppy class and gotten better results for a fraction of the cost. What makes this even more frustrating is that the program included follow-up support--specifically an in-home training session and an additional training session to ensure everything was going well. I never received either of those services. I called multiple times trying to schedule, and no one ever returned my calls. Additionally, when I came to pick my dog up, they had a shock collar for me, which they had me pay a additional $200.00 for, since I never heard from them again I don't really know how to use it effectively with my dog. I have done my own research, but this is HIGHLY unprofessional. That level of poor communication is unacceptable, especially given how much I paid. When I entrusted them with my dog, I was very clear about my situation. I shared that I have PTSD from my military service and work as a first responder, and that having a well-behaved dog is important for me to feel confident taking him out in public. I put a lot of trust in this program, and they completely let me down. This experience was not only a financial disappointment but also a personal one. It has been almost a year now and never once have they reached out to see how my dog is doing or see if his training is going well at home- or deliver on the promise they made. I would not recommend this program to anyone looking for reliable, effective dog training or even basic customer support.

Disappointing experience for my poppy Shih Tzu. I chose this…read moregrooming salon based on positive reviews and drove 30 minutes to get there -- unfortunately, it turned out to be a very upsetting visit. I specifically asked to keep the long hair on my dog's back, which we had been growing out for 6 months. But instead, they shaved it completely. Even worse, they left mats behind the ears, under the chin, and on the belly. When I kindly asked them to remove the mats, the receptionist responded loudly that it would "change the dog's haircut." Seriously? I believe removing mats should be standard grooming procedure -- and if there's an issue, the professional thing to do would be to call the owner or explain. Instead, they just left them and said it would "ruin the style." Meanwhile, the haircut was already nothing like what I requested. Now I have to take my pup to another groomer to fix what they ignored -- and even they were surprised mats were left behind. Sorry, but this is not how responsible pet care should be handled. I'm really disappointed.

My new favorite dog groomer in the Sugarland area!…read more I love the way they groomed my old shih tzu, they did a wonderful job and she looks so cute! I provided a reference photo, and while it wasn't exact, it was still very well done. Other pros: - reasonably priced. I paid almost $65 for my small dog. - very clean and not super loud. Some places, like the previous owners of this location, did not maintain the premises. It would be noisy and smelly, and the AC would be left off. I love what the new owners did with this place! My shih tzu often gets very nervous about going to the groomers but here, she was not shaking at all.

He was very honest with me about his thought after hearing her traits. Thus we waited until we could get a different dog. He won my trust over by not immediately saying it would work out. As I was fully ready to pay the amount necessary to train the dog. I was nervous as I didn't know anything more than what the reviews and speaking to him on the phone before doing the full package of training. I have heard nightmare stories of folks spending thousands and the dog not being properly trained. YOU GUYS! This guy and his staff are awesome. Don't look any further! Nick has amazing communication. He was so patient with my daughter at pick up, and was very interactive and good at instructing her with the dog. Our dog is training for service. We couldn't be more impressed with what they accomplished in time we trained in! He also really cares about the dogs, and gave a really comprehensive lesson in implementing the training at pick up to make sure we understood how to get what is expected out of her. We asked a lot of questions, and he was very good at answering and explain the 'why's'. It is one thing to be a good dog trainer, and another to be a good instructor. He is both. He also made sacrifices for our family in time of great need to us. Definitely a business with integrity, with down to earth trainers. You will be given honest advice. Mayday dog training is here to create teams. As such you have a bargain to uphold to your dog to keep them in shape and trained up. They are the real deal. Pleased to be giving them your business! S

Sayde made huge strides in her service dog training. Learning her first official task as well as all the ground work for future ones. Communication from Nick during Sayde's stay was incredible! He kept me up to date with pictures and information throughout the entire experience. He, even still months later, checks in on us and ensures we are still making progress and that their training remains in place. A quality hard to find in many training programs. I would highly recommend Mayday Dog Training for anyone looking to improve their dogs obedience or complex training.

We chose to train our new dog Daisy that we adopted from the SPCA with the 8 basic & advanced…read morelessons and it was worth every penny! Our trainer, Monica, was excellent with Daisy and what I loved most about her was that she would explain to us how she was training our dog and also why she would do something a certain way. A lot of times she would comment about how this reinforces some sort of behavior or would boost Daisy's confidence, etc. At one point of our training Daisy didn't take well to the previous lesson (down lesson) and Daisy wasn't receptive to the next training session and was extremely nervous and jittery. Monica picked up on this right away and instead of just charging through, took a step back to assess the situation and told us that this lesson would be free since Daisy wasn't herself and even considered bringing another trainer in. We were extremely appreciative of this gesture and found it to be very considerate and professional. We were a little nervous starting out the training because Daisy is an extremely sensitive and submissive dog, but at the end of the training (which was today) her confidence levels are much higher and she seems to be a much happier dog!!! Daisy is far from perfect but her discipline and manners are getting better every day and we love seeing her progress and growth. We highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training. We did a ton of research and even met with other companies but we could not have been happier with our choice.

We tried to reach out to the trainer, but he wouldn't answer our calls after a year. I finally got a hold of corporate and they let me know that the guy was ripping people off and using their name. They said they would make it right we went to do an assessment last weekend. The gentleman told us everything would be covered since they were filing a federal case against the old trainer that took advantage of us. We just got a call that we would have to pay another $3000 and they were gonna give us $200 off. I can't believe they took advantage of us like this. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They also act like they all for veterans. My husband and I are both beds and I'm a disabled vet. Our hard earned money was stolen with zero remorse or accountability.

I cannot say enough good things about Shannon and Eddie…read more They saved our family dynamic - not even being dramatic. Two out of our 6 dogs were causing our family so much stress. When we introduced a brand new puppy into our dog pack, the problems started and kept escalating. Eventually, we started having full out dog fights between our dogs - which wasn't a thing before. It got to the point where it was "send the dogs to training or find them a new home." So I researched the top 3 dog trainers in our area. Triumph K9 training was the one and only business who took the time to call me. Another business emailed me generic info and I never heard back from the other. Pretty shortly after I submitted an inquiry request, I spoke with Shannon on the phone. A free consult was set up and her husband, Eddie, came out to our house. As soon as I met Eddie, I trusted him. I trusted him because my dogs (who are normally pretty protective) were calm around him. Although I didn't want to send my dogs away to training for 4 weeks, I knew they'd be in safe hands. They trained our dogs Shiner (7 yr old Lab/Dane mix) and Roxy (1 yr old Doberman/Dane mix) and they are BRAND NEW dogs. I'm not even kidding. I literally cannot thank them enough. I recommend them to anyone who's looking for a great trainer who is trustworthy and knows what they're doing. We are so thankful for all they've done for our family and the continued support they provide. They truly treat your pets like theirs! THANK YOU again to Shannon and Eddie!!!

The thoughtful nature of the space itself and the incredible staff really set this place apart. They are professional and kind, and all seem to truly care about the dogs and their humans! Additionally, Ozzie has severe food allergy so it has been wonderful being able to trust that the staff at Best Little Dog House will take care of him well and ensure that he doesn't come into contact with anything he shouldn't while he's there. The cage free nature of the boarding setup in particular is welcome as he is not used to sleeping in a kennel and prefers being cuddled up in a blanket with a trusted human nearby. It's such a relief to know that when he is at Best Little Dog House he is having a great time and being well treated. He loses his mind with excitement when we tell him he is getting to "go play!" and always eagerly runs to the front door when he gets out of the car! If you are looking for a small dog focused daycare and boarding facility in the Montrose area, look no further than Best Little Dog House!
