this review is for the Rosharon location. I had my doubts when I dropped my dog off and they met me outside and did not let me go in the facility. I kept in contact with Tricia and she kept saying that everything was fine and that she would send pictures. Well two weeks and $850 later and no pictures of my dog and my dog is now worse than when I dropped her off. I even asked about what kind of training, she assured me it was gentle with positive treats, well the only thing she did was get my dog hooked on cubed bits of turkey and drag her around by the "gentle lead" which my dog kept trying to get off the whole time we were there. I would never recommend this dog trainer to anyone! read more

This is an email I sent to this trainer, Trisha Fagan, and I have not recieved any type of reply. I feel very compelled to write to you and share our real feelings about your "training" with Rosco. First I want to share with you our uneasy feeling from the start and after each conversation on the phone at nite not feeling satisfied with your comment to our questions about what was done with Rosco that day, "stuff". We throughout the time you had him had discussions of coming to get him because neither one of us were at ease about him. The day we came to pick him up we were at that point excited because we felt like maybe he did get better training then we had thought, in hind site we both realize it was just a matter of sticking treats in his face that made him do that. There was absolutely no obedience training done at all, I had already taught him to sit and down and stay before I ever brought him there, there was no association with other dogs as we discussed with you constantly and so to sum it up , you took 950.00 dollars from us and we got NOTHING. We also should not have had to pay the vet bill because the reason he got sick was because you gave him canned food without asking us when we provided his food for you to give him. I am not sure how you sleep comfortable knowing you do this to people. It is really really wrong and we know of at least 5 of those days you had him nothing was done at all with him because of things that were going on with you.. We have now taken him to a real trainer and today we went to visit after only 2 days and there already is a total difference, he already is with other dogs and everything is already happening and this place actually gives a money back guarantee if the dog is not trained. We were shown the facilities and we were asked a 100 questions about Rosco and we got to ask a 100 questions and got everything answered. Which was so not what you did. I just want you to know that I think you do not have a good people skill and in turn obviously don't have a people to animal skill. I have tried to find positive things about you and your facility but unfortunately there are so many negative it overrides the positive. We are not rich people and we paid up front for you to do a service for us which was not done and that would not let me sleep at nite to treat people that way.. Tricia Fagan picked our dog up for 2 weeks of boarding and training. When we came back from our trip it was very obvious that very little to no training had been done. Our dog is no stranger to clicker training, we had a trainer come over to our house once a week for 3 months training her when she was a puppy and we continued the clicker training ourselves. We asked Tricia to help reinforce a few things ( not jumping on strangers, loose leash walking, recall) but it was very obvious that it was never worked on when we were gone. Tricia also didn't seem to know any of our dogs tendencies or personality. My impression was that there were many dogs staying with Tricia and she has employee's doing all of the boarding, caretaking and training (very poorly if at all) and she only received status updates and did the drop off and pickup. I wouldn't use her again or recommend her. read more

We hired DogSgonegood for our boxer. Initially, the price is what amazed me; we signed up for the two week boarding and training package. I've seen double or triple those rates with other places. Also, the door-to-door service is an even greater service to you, the owner. This boarding is located in Rosharon, and I live about an hour away. Mystique worked with Magda. Her trainer said the first few days our dog was very shy and didn't really want to work or train, so I consider that time lost. We didn't receive as many video updates on her Word Press blog as I would have liked, but I understand they have many dogs to care for and train. Mystique came back home and was MUCH calmer, in addition she stopped counter surfing in the kitchen, and was great with the "leave it" command. There were other commands, such as "come", "stay", loose leash walking, etc that she did not conquer, but I guess 2 weeks isn't long enough to enforce all the lessons. I also noticed that Mystique's nails were nice and trimmed when she was brought back home, that was nice. Unfortunately, when my husband and I left for another vacation and Mystique was under the care of a friend, upon our return, Mystique's old habits were back. Counter surfing, not listening to "leave it", jumping on guests, etc. So I called Tricia, and Magda came back to our home, on a Monday evening no less. She gave us a one hour session refresher at no extra charge. The refresher is included in the package we chose. That night Magda showed me what to do and how to train her, set boundaries, etc. Now, I have to not be lazy and dedicate a little bit of time in the evenings to work with her. I would recommend this program to you and your dog. Just don't expect miracles because you also have to do some homework. read more

Dogs Gone Good is the best!! They have had my bull terrier with them for several months due to a biting issue and I can't tell you how great they are! Tricia spends so much time with Winston and really cares about him. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend Dogs Gone Good to anyone. read more

I am incredibly satisfied with my experience with Dogs Gone Good. Firstly, their drop off/pick up service is extremely convenient. My 7-month puppy Moose was at Dogs Gone Good for three weeks this past February and they posted pictures of her having fun on their Facebook page which was always nice for me to see. Her trainer, Mags and Mags' dog Duke did a great job of reinforcing the basics that I had been working on with Moose. Prior to Mags, I had a lot of trouble with my dog pulling on her leash when out for walks, but Mags' instruction of both Moose and myself have proved enormously positive. I cannot recommend Mags enough. She was incredibly enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. She provided multiple resource sheets for me and was very responsive via e-mail to any additional questions that I had. Thanks Mags and Dogs Gone Good! read more

What a waste of money. I would not recommend this trainer at all. Complete waste of time and the dogs have come back worse than before. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with this trainer. It is not worth your time or money. read more

DogS Gone Good is the best dog training program ever! We wanted a dog training program with trainers that knew what they were doing and had the education and experience in dog training and obedience . Tricia and her team are exceptional. We utilized the board and train program for our 3.5 month old Great Pyrenees puppy and he was a different dog when he came home. He now has manners, is obedient, knows commands, etc..We are thrilled with the results. He also got much needed socialization because he was able to play and interact with other dogs while in training. We will continue to utilize DogS Gone Good for training classes that will reinforce socialization and obedience, as well as boarding. Tricia is very upfront and honest about cost and the services provided. We highly recommend them! read more

Horrible service! Only taught my dog things he already knew. My dog couldn't complete the full 2 weeks because he became ill after 5 days. I wasn't even notified that he wasn't eating or drinking much until he became sick. She constantly mentioned the fact that the full fee hadn't been paid yet when she notified me of his sickness. She seemed more concerned with money than the well being and training of my dog. She was very unprofessional on the phone and didn't even tell me how to implement training that she had started already with my dog at my own home. When i called to drag information out of Tricia Fagan, the owner, it was like lights on but nobody home. Seemed timid when answering questions about training. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! She only sees dogs as money signs. read more

if there was a negative sign i would choose it. we have signed in our 4 months old sweet and for his age very obedient puppy to this training after he has gone thru a successful puppy class of 4 weeks (he was the star of the class, as his breed usually thrives on training) while we were both traveling on business. one day before the pickup when we have double-checked whether the originally agreed pickup is still ok, Tricia Fagan, the owner of this terror place has come back and said, no, they can only pick up in the evening, not even mentioning any word of apology or so... that was already when we would have been gone... after some back and forth she has agreed to pick our puppy up the evening before but forgot to give the driver the instructions how the get to our our place, so the poor thing was driving around in a terrible storm and another puppy for a good hour... we had a terrible feeling, but no more choice, kind of catch 22. then we had to literally bug her to give us any (short) update about our puppy and never got any details about training, just some very few pictures (3 in 10 days) and the feedback that we are overdoing being worried.... after 10 days then she has suddenly called, and i immediately knew that something was wrong, as this was the first time ever she would give an attempt to contact by herself. Sure enough it has turned out that our puppy got very sick, had to be taken to a vet (hours after the first sickness signs) and after speaking to the vet, he got transferred for overnight to an emergency hospital. I have interrupted my business trip and came back with the first possible flight and went to meet him next day after a red eye flight. I have picked up the puppy and the vet looked at me seriously and said that all tests were negative, but this puppy has gone thru some serious stress. At first i did not understand, as i was just happy that my sweet boy was alive, even though i could see that he was VERY skinny. The training place has even organized to get his food transported to the vet, so that we do not have to stop by there, that was suspicious too. looking at his food box, hardly anything was missing, so they have either starved him or gave him some other food, big no-no and we were very specific about this when signing up. When we got home, i have discovered several deep and long injuries on him, his ears were full of earmites and he was afraid of sudden moves (he comes from a well respected breeder, so far the biggest stress in his life so far has been being away from his litter). It took as good two weeks to heel him and he still has some of the mental scars, heartbreaking for someone who has worked in her entire life in order to be able to support animals. When we have contacted Tricia to explain what our boy was meant to have learnt so that we can build on that in his next training program (strictly with us present from now onwards obviously) she has not even bothered answering. We are going after her at every possible fora and at AKC, not just for our sweet boy`s interest, but for any other animals. This lady and this place should have their license withdrawn at least and we wild everything in order to achieve that. people like her make the reputation of these places horrible, a shame for her profession. read more
