I recently began the training process for my two dogs, Marvel and Bilbo, with Transform My Dog. At first, everything seemed great--they appeared to understand my situation with the two dogs not getting along and offered a plan to move forward. Unfortunately, things took a disappointing turn when it was time for their training and boarding. On January 16, 2025, I dropped Marvel off for his program. During the intake, I was informed that if he coughed more than once a day, he would need to be picked up. They also mentioned having a few "unconfirmed cold cases" with other dogs at their facility, which I appreciated knowing upfront. Despite the risk, I proceeded with the drop-off, as Marvel was perfectly healthy at the time. Two days later, on January 18th, I was notified that Marvel was coughing and needed to be picked up. Since I was unavailable, I sent my boyfriend. I immediately scheduled a vet appointment for Marvel the next morning. While my boyfriend picked him up, I stayed on the phone to ask questions, but the staff member on-site couldn't provide any answers and directed us to call the main number. This was frustrating, as I expected immediate answers, especially since I was being asked to pick him up for a potential illness. At the vet, Marvel showed no signs of serious concern. They couldn't trigger a cough during the exam but noted a slight respiratory issue. He was prescribed antibiotics and cough tablets. The vet didn't believe quarantine was necessary but advised keeping Marvel from nose-to-nose contact with other dogs. To be cautious, I sent Marvel to stay with my mom since Bilbo was scheduled to board at Transform My Dog starting January 22nd. Marvel and Bilbo never had any contact with each other. Bilbo was healthy during his January 16th vet checkup and showed no symptoms leading up to his boarding date. However, on January 23rd, I was notified that Bilbo was also coughing and needed to be picked up. This was incredibly frustrating--how could both of my dogs, who had no contact with each other, suddenly develop the same issue after staying at the facility? Since I was out of town, I asked my mom to pick Bilbo up. When she called to discuss her concerns, the staff member on the phone was rude and dismissive, insisting that Bilbo must have caught whatever Marvel had. This wasn't possible as the two dogs had been separated the entire time. When my mom asked to speak with the owner, the person falsely claimed to be the owner, only to later admit that she wasn't. My mom was finally told that the real owner, Jason, would call her--but this never happened. Jason was present when my mom arrived to pick up Bilbo. He refused to speak to her or even shake her hand, stating that he would only discuss the situation with me. However, despite repeated promises, Jason never called me. As of January 30th, I still haven't received a call. My frustration isn't just about the fact that both of my dogs were coughing--it's about the complete lack of communication and accountability. If someone had taken the time to genuinely discuss the situation with me, we might have resolved this. Instead, both my mom and I were treated with indifference and disrespect. They were quick to blame Marvel for Bilbo's illness without acknowledging that both dogs were healthy before entering their facility. If you're looking for a facility that values customer service and takes responsibility for the well-being of your pets, I cannot recommend Transform My Dog. Their poor handling of this situation and refusal to communicate left me extremely disappointed. read more

TL;dr Transform My Dog is AWESOME for training, boarding and daycare for any size and any breed. We have been thrilled with the staff at Transform My Dog. Marley started out going for daycare and socialization. We boarded her a few times as well. Since we had adopted her from the animal shelter we weren't sure what her temperament would be around other dogs. The staff was so patient and loving with her. I loved that no matter what they weren't going to give up on her. I loved their philosophy that every dog deserves a chance. After we'd had her for almost a year we took her in for the 10 day turnaround. She needed some work on leash walking and staying calm. OMG I was amazed at what she learned during her time with Adam. We now are able to go to the big dog socials and she's able to have fun with all of her friends, just being a dog and not getting stressed. Adam gave us good homework and we've been working on her reactions to other dogs when out for walks. They definitely didn't just train her for the 10 days and say "good luck." They have so many opportunities for additional support and training if you want it. read more

My daughter took her dog on January 16. On January 18 they send her a video saying he's coughing. Not long after they send her another video of a dog coughing. And it wasn't her dog. She tells them that and luckily she screen shot it because they deleted the text. She took her dog to the vet immediately. He was cleared with no kennel cough. She then brings me the dog 4 hours away to keep him away from the dog she needed to drop off on 1/22 at 730 am. On 1/23 by 1030 am they are calling saying the other dog is now coughing. I call and ask to speak to the owner. The lady says she is the owner as I am trying to explain that these two dogs have not had contact since the 16th and this makes no sense she insists that dog two caught it from dog one. No ma'am! She says well he didn't catch it within 24 hours. Well no duhhh. So why is it two dogs now have apparently caught something. She finally admits she is not the owner just the office manager I'm not sure what is going on at this facility but lie after lie and no explanation on where these dogs are getting sick from. I highly suggest they shut down and clean the place. Their stories keep changing. I go to get my daughter's second dog and Jason refuses to shake my hand or speak to me. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. I would not re commend anyone to do business with them they cannot tell the truth and delete anything they don't like. They did give my daughter back 100% refund but that doesn't excuse their behavior and inconvenience they have caused Dogs are getting sick so they say but are taking no responsibility. Took the second dog to the vet f9 am on 1/24. Completely clean bill of health no cough sneeze sniffle. Nothing. On 1/23 my daughter was told they would call her to discuss her concerns. And guess what it's 1/25 and not one phone call. Absolutely the most unprofessional management!! read more

Transform my Dog had excellent phone support, but my positive experience ended there. As my two children and I entered we were greeted and told that our reservation for our first socialization class would be busy and probably would not be good the right class for our dog as it was her first time around other dogs. As this was why I was attending this class I was bothered. As the worker went to check with the trainer if this was the correct class I was placed in a busy walkway with people and other dogs walking by. My dog acted very excited and barked like I had never seen before. When the trainer came to talk to me, I tried to shush my dog. I was told "I was the reason my dog was barking and that my actions had training her to bark" in a very condescending and insulting fashion. I once again explained she had never been around other dogs and this is why I wanted to start their programs. As I was then waiting, now trying to ignore my barking dog and feeling very out of place and small, I was asked for my shot records which I was not asked to bring with me. I had proof of a rabies shot, but at no time was I asked to bring her shot record. At this point I was very frustrated, upset and annoyed with the staff. I knew this was not the right place for us as we didn't even get the opportunity to make it to class. Thankfully I was not payed the $1100 for the 10 day training and about $500 I was planning to invest on day socialization before and after the program. As I put my now skittish dog in the car, two kids that no longer want to be part of dog training as their experience was as bad as mine, two other dogs that didn't have an annoying bark (as my dog did) but a down right mean bark/growl came into the building. I could understand the barking, but not why I felt so shamed by both the trainer and the helper for bringing my unsocialized dog to a training when other dogs were clearly more aggressive and was intended for socialization. I was there to learn about socialization in a controlled environment where this could be done safely and responsibly as I didn't know how my dog would act around other dogs. If this class was meant for socialization ... why was this not the right class for her and why after the lengthy registration and phone conversations prior to reserving her spot was I not recommended another course of action. At this point I do not plan to attend nor would I recommend this to any first time patron. As I never made it to an actual training I can not speak on the actual training. read more

It is truly amazing what your team has done with our dog, Roxi. I took her on her first walk since training and she did awesome. I even had some ladies walking by us say what a well mannered dog she was. When we got home she went on her own to her mat and stayed there very quietly for quite a while. Okay. If you know my pitties you will know how much work the trainers at Transform my Dog in Dickinson put into his training. Having my toddler in the same room as the pup was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE before his training. Now, (even without his training leash on) I can trust my pup around my kiddo. [[No, was never worried about him hurting him on purpose; Ghost was just a VERY hyper active dog]. People can now come over and he may jump once but if he is told no, he stops. He doesn't pull on the leash. He doesn't dart out the door when it opens. He doesn't randomly try to run to people when he is on the leash and biggest achievement and what made the 10 day turn around worth every penny is my lil man can be in here and I don't have to worry about my dog trying to play to rough!!! They had really high ratings and I was referred to them by the clinic that spayed my dog. I am sure there are some dogs that will do really well but this type of training is not for all. My girl is apparently very sensitive and did not respond very well. My fault probably more than anything. She came home with severe diarrhea. So bad that I had to take to her Vet. I had to cancel the lady days training. read more

Great people and awesome facility! My dog did a two week training program and he is much more well behaved. He is calmer in the house and can walk on a leash without dragging me. Jason and Adam are skilled trainers and are so patient. My dog loves it there! When my dog goes for day school, he doesn't want to come home. Feel completely comfortable when my boy is there. My 9 month-old Aussiedoodle pup, Louie is home now after 5 Day Fine Tune training program and I couldn't be happier! This company has raised the bar on customer service! From the moment I called to schedule training with Carrie who answered all my questions to drop off where my husband and I were greeted outside by Jason (owner) who politely invited us in to discuss Louie's training in detail, I've been impressed. The facility was also welcoming and clean with Covid safety protocols in place as staff practiced social distancing while wearing masks. After a thorough conversation with Jason, my husband and I left feeling reassured that Louie was in good hands. Pick up was also top notch with a scheduled appointment where Julia displayed training videos of Louie successfully obeying commands and socializing with other puppies (she also uploaded the videos to my transform my dog account and I've been able to share with family and friends!) Julia answered all my questions, demonstrated all commands while she patiently guided me to learn them along side Louie, and helped me to my car with my very own training leash and training mat (added bonus as I wasn't aware they were included in cost). The results? Well, lets just say we are on day two at home and can honestly say my family and I are blown away by Louie's new transformation! Unlike before training, where Louie jumped all over our family, furniture and ran out the front door; Louie is now calm, relaxed and able to demonstrate self control until given the command to move. I'm looking forward to Louie's 1 week follow up appointment with Jason to tweak behavior and learn the next steps on training.
