The process would take 3 hours and I'd split it into multiple days because neither him nor I could do a full 3 hour session at once. I said all that to say that I wish I would've gone to Betty sooner! I got my dog Beast in 2022 and for some reason it was really hard to find a groomer--no one was taking on new clients. I scheduled my appointment online with Wholesome Doodle, answered a few questions and uploaded a few pics of what I wanted Beast's cut to look like. I was able to get aN appointment fairly quickly. Upon meeting Betty, she felt around for mats and helped me come up with a mat that would be best for Beast. Unfortunately, we had to shave him down pretty low during his first grooming appointment, but that was no one's fault but my own. Things got In the way and I didn't brush him as regularly as I should've and many mats formed. Following the appointment she provided us with a folder with care and maintenance tips for his coat. Betty is highly experienced and will explain everything going into the appointment. She does great with Beast and I recommend her to everyone!

We scheduled a grooming session but didn't realize he would be receiving a "first-time puppy cut," which is different from a full grooming appointment. I completely understand the difference, but I wish I had been informed upfront, as I was expecting a full-body cut--especially at the price we paid. A month later, we tried a different groomer, Ivy, after seeing a Goldendoodle cut on their Instagram that we loved. She did an amazing job! As a reminder, per most pet grooming policies, all dogs must have up-to-date vaccines before their appointment. Additionally, there is now a late pickup fee if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your pet's session is completed.

Unlike some of our experiences with other veterinarians in Austin, we never feel rushed. We truly appreciate the care and attention he gives to both us and our cat Reishi. Dr. Rob performed oral surgery to remove several of Reishi's teeth. It was the first major surgery we had experienced with her. He was extremely patient with our questions, took wonderful care of her, and guided us through the entire process. Reishi healed very quickly and had no postoperative complications, which we were especially grateful for after hearing about friends whose pets experienced infections and other issues following similar procedures elsewhere. Recently, Reishi had a cancer scare after an alarming initial assessment at an emergency vet. We were quite stressed. When we brought her to see Dr. Rob, he first acknowledged what we had been through and made us feel heard and cared for before discussing the next steps. He even emailed us with test results and next steps while he was on a family vacation, which showed us how deeply he cares about his patients. Fortunately, further testing showed that Reishi did not have cancer. Going through such a stressful experience felt much more manageable knowing that Reishi was under Dr. Rob's care. He is compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in both his patients and their families. Unfortunately, we are moving out of state and will have to find a new veterinarian. We truly hope we can find a clinic as wonderful as ATX Animal Clinic. It is the best veterinary clinic we have ever had, and we are incredibly grateful to Dr. Rob and the entire team.

It has been incredibly frustrating working with her. I wouldn't trust information coming from her and will be asking to speak to someone besides her from now on. As soon as I entered, the older gentleman behind the counter looked directly at me and then immediately turned away without saying a word. He wasn't helping anyone at the time. I walked around the store for a while and noticed a young woman cleaning items nearby. Not once did she greet me or ask if I needed help. When I was looking at the driftwood display, she walked by, so I asked a question. She gave me what felt like a dirty look, gave a very quick answer, and walked away. I initially thought maybe she was busy helping other customers, but that didn't seem to be the case. What made the experience worse was what happened next. While I was still browsing near the entrance, several other customers walked in. Every single one of them was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. I hate to even bring this up, but it left me wondering why my experience was so different. I'm a Hispanic male with tattoos, and every other customer who was greeted appeared to be white with no visible tattoos. I truly hope that wasn't the reason, but I honestly can't think of another explanation for the difference in treatment. Either way, it was disappointing. I had specifically chosen to visit a local specialty shop because I wanted the advice and expertise that comes with it. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and will likely just go to a big box store instead--something I was hoping to avoid. I hope this isn't the normal experience for customers, but it was certainly mine today.

From the second we arrived, Dr. Pearson and the entire care team--Megan, Ethan, and Nicole (the CEC)--were absolutely incredible. They provided top-tier medical care for our girl, but what I appreciated most was how they handled my wife and me. We were in a total state of panic, and they stayed calm, kept us informed, and treated us with so much empathy. It's rare to find a team that can balance high-level emergency medicine with such genuine bedside manner. Dr. Pearson is a total pro, and the nursing staff made us feel like our pup was their only priority. If you're in the Austin area and find yourself in a pet emergency, this is the only place I'd trust.

This could be my 4th time or 3rd time, but I do know it's always on a weekend. Our pets are our kids and when do they get sick or injured??? On weekends. Our Coconut once more ripped her nail almost completely off. She and Buddy who lives on the other side of the fence are always running back and forth and peeking at one another, oh yes running and barking as well. So Saturday she did it again, got her one nail caught in the slats of the fence. The good, great doctors were able to cut it off as far in as they could go. The nail is split inside but will grow out. On Monday she would not put her paw down and I couldn't touch it. It was all wrapped up good but I was fearful of taking the bandage off soooooo back to our friendly VEG ER for pets again. The doctor took the wrap off and said it looks great and healing but just like humans, the second day it hurts the worst. He was so reassessing, just keep up the medication and wear the "cone".... Today, day 5 and she is walking , even trying to run on it and just about finished with the medicine. Sleeps well, and just about to be my tom-boy, girl puppy again. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Oh the picture I have posted is of 's sister Winnie , yes there are from the same litter. I was watching Winnie and she all of a sudden just fell over and boy was so close to dying. It was a tough, rough couple days, but the doctor's there as well as the ones on 2222 pulled her through. When a recent trip came up and our usual house sitter was unavailable, I was delighted to see that the 'mothers are still around and still loving on Austin's pets! Thanks to Jody for checking in on our cat daily while we were away. She is AWESOME at communication. First, there were a few emails and a questionnaire to get the ball rolling, then she came and visited our home and pets and gave me a few ideas for making the experience of being left home alone far less traumatizing for our cat. While we were gone, she sent a few email updates and a photo, including a request to inform her when we returned so she would know that we were okay and our pet was too. AND she emailed the next day to check in on our cat and make sure everyone was happy. Each time, she made us feel like our cat was the most important pet in the world -- which is exactly how we, as pet owners, feel! I can tell you that this is an uncommon level of care and communication, based on my experience with other pet sitting and boarding arrangements here in Austin. The rates were great too. We've done several private lessons along with a one-day training, and the progress has been incredible. She helped us work on place, off, leave it, heel, and threshold training using a combination of spatial pressure, leash pressure, and treats in a way that was effective and easy to understand. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she's also so personable and friendly. My dogs absolutely adore her, and I always felt comfortable and supported during training.
