My dog Rue and I have come here twice and we'll never go elsewhere to get her nails done! These ladies do a consistently good job on her nails and when Rue comes out she's always in a chipper mood so I know they're gentle with her. They have a doorbell system for drop offs and chat with you on how it went etc after the appointment. I love they give her treats (asking first) and even gave her this cute tie-dye bandana making her look like she had a full spa day. So happy I decided to finally check this place out, I always get anxious about leaving my dog with people because my dog is much older. I'm picky! I want my pup trimmed a very specific and not necessarily traditional way. You have to put up with my texted photos and ten minute explanation, and you still haven't touched my dog. They set out on their own with one adorbs trailer and expanded this year with their brick and mortar (and papel picado) shop, nestled amongst Austin-fab mom and pop shops on North Loop and Avenue F. Today our 6 month old puppy got his first hair cut! The girls there were amazing and kept in contact, sending us photos of him during his trip there. When you get there, there is a doorbell you ring and they meet you outside to get the pup and we chatted for a few minutes. I appreciated this because of covid. At first they weren't sure if they were going to be able to do more then his face, belly, butt and feet since he was so young and will probably wiggle but they said he did so good and they were able to cut him all over! I am SO excited to have discovered Bravado for my sweet cocker spaniel Chevie!!!! I like to keep her shaved, especially in the summer. I usually take her to Petsmart, but she never seems happy to go, I can always hear her barking from the back when I come to pick her up (and she is NOT a barker, but does have bad separation anxiety) and the past two visits they gave her a "Cocker Cut" rather than a shave. Then I went to a groomer in my neighborhood who did a great job but charged me $80!! For a shave!!! So the last haircut she had was 6 months ago, by me, at Dirty Dog (we love bathing at that place), and she was so embarrassed by my choppy shave job! Enter Bravado. Found them on Yelp when searching for a neighborhood groomer who wouldn't charge more for my dog's shave than I pay for my own salon haircut. Communication happened through Facebook Messenger. Their response time is fast, friendly and professional. The price was appropriate and affordable. And the quality of the cut was amazing! They take the time to ask and clarify exactly what you want, provide recommendations, and don't let you leave without making sure the final look is what you were expecting. She looks fabulous!! I especially love that they don't crate their dogs...when I went to pick her up she was happily running around with another pup her size and didn't even notice me calling for her! They did an amazing job on my poodle shih tzu. My dog has fine hair that gets matted and the owner even stayed past closing to finish her. I felt so bad, and she was super nice about it. She cut her hair just like I wanted and cleaned up her feet hair but leaving enough fluff at the ankles to keep it all balanced. It's looks good on her body shape, which is important too! It's my favorite cut she's ever had. I feel like they really love all dogs and are creative and technically skilled. The shop is super cute and prices are very affordable. First of all, let's talk how cute this trailer is with such adorable interior design! This is run by a nice lady with an elderly woman! Parking: I honestly just parked in front of the trailer since it was easier, but the are other shopping centers nearby where you can park and walk to the trailer. Service: I absolutely love them and how they took care of my dog. FIRST I am super against heated crates at petsmart and other chains. They have only 3 crates which is awesome meaning they only take in a small amount of dogs at a time compared to like 20. They asked me how my dog is with nail clippings to prepare themselves ahead of time if he was a hard one, which is safe for me and them. Ollie got a bath service and he smelled amazing when I got him back. He was still shedding a bit, but he was terrified at first since he has never met them. Overall they were super professional and sweet. Cleanliness: I see that their instruments are to perform a service one dog at a time so it looked pretty clean to me. Of course, they do haircuts so it's inevitable to sweep up every strand of hair. The counters also had some hair strands on it since it's a smaller trailer and you could see hair flying everywhere. I honestly don't mind since it's a two person clinic and they have a lot to do especially with dogs coming in and out. Location: I like how it's located in a quiet neighborhood and not in some random unsafe place. It is near UT so that was very convenient for me. Overall I really like this place. I am a big supporter for local shops so it was a plus when I found out that it was a very small trailer. I loved the options of getting a bow tie or bandana after the clean. Please house then, support local businesses. They are awesome and super nice!!!! Will come back for my dogs annual grooming appointments. read more

Luz is very experienced in grooming all breeds of dogs, she is kind and gentle with them, especially my dog, Bobby. She listens to what you want, she asks questions, and always does an exceptional job. And in a short period, usually less than 1 1/2 hours. That to me is very important. My dog gets stressed, I get even more stressed, when we are separated. I highly recommend using this grooming company.
