"Blue Lacy" and "Plott Hound" with basket of fries.
    Sora A.

I'm visiting family in the Fayetteville area and decided to stop by Dogslingers after running some errands. Based on all the glowing reviews, I had to see what the hype was about; And let me just say, they're absolutely spot on. Hot dogs aren't usually the kind of food you expect to be impressive, but this place completely changes the game. They serve them in a unique, creative way using top-quality ingredients that actually make you excited to eat a hot dog. The hotdogs dogs are sliced down the middle, a unique touch compared to other hot dog spots in the area, and grill the buns so it doesn't feel like a cold or soggy mess. I ordered the "Plott Hound" and the "Blue Lacy," and for just $3 more, you can turn it into a combo with a refillable drink and a generous portion of fries. Definitely worth it and such a great value for this economy. The fries are fried to perfection. Crispy, well-seasoned, and flavorful enough that you don't even need ketchup. And the service was top tier. The staff member who took our order, a super friendly blonde lady, had great energy and gave helpful recommendations. She chatted with us just enough to feel warm and personal, without ever being too much. It really made the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Service was incredibly fast too, a gentleman from the back brought our order out in nice presentable baskets and took the time to explain which hot dog was which. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is cozy and clean, with a small but quaint seating area. It's not the kind of place you'd lounge around for hours, but it's definitely comfortable for a casual meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at one of the high tables with stools facing the road, perfect for a quick bite and a bit of people-watching. The table was already stocked with napkins and condiments, which was a nice touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another huge plus: they offer a loyalty card, and once you earn enough stamps, you get a free hot dog of your choice. My brother lives in town and already said he's going to use his every time he comes back. Between the quality food, standout service, and thoughtful little perks like that, it's easy to see why Dogslingers has such a great reputation and I'm more than happy to write this review to keep it going!

While visiting North Carolina, our daughter-in-law told us about this place called Dog Slingers! My husband had to find this place because he absolutely loves hotdogs!!! we went around back to park and entered the small and very quaint restaurant, everyone was so nice, the service was amazing. My husband absolutely loved his hotdog and the fries that they served with it and we will definitely be back again when we visit North Carolina. As you can see, by the menu, I posted, there are plenty of hotdog and sausages to choose from, but they also have other sandwiches, soups and salads, something for everyone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was very cute and as I said, everybody was so friendly the employees were very nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and we got a chance to meet the owner who was also very nice. He was handing out samples of an Italian sausage that he was gonna start putting on his menu and my husband said it was really good thank you for such a good experience and we hope to see you in the near future!

PAY ATTENTION or you'll drive right past it. Dogslingers is on the corner of South Raeford Road and Purdue Drive (across from Chick-fil-A. The food is delicious. The servings are awesome. The customer service is exceptional. They even have breakfast!!! If I didn't live in Moore county I might try it. Working in Fayetteville lets me grab a well made lunch. It reminds me of growing up in Northern Indiana. Quality meats and friendly service.

Everything that comes out of this place is amazing!! From salads, soups, sandwiches, hotdogs, fries, fried ravioli and more!!!! We love this place and frequent it quite a bit. We look forward to the new specialty sandwiches and hot dogs that Mr Mike invents. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place great people very friendly atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

An absolute gem! After living in NC we finally found a delicious taste of home here! Coming from Chicago we are always septics when it comes to places that serves Italian beef or Chi style dogs but this place is the real deal!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was not an empty seat at 2pm-good sign![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We all ordered the Italian beef dipped, with sweet peppers and hot giardiniera and it absolutely did not disappoint! Perfectly seasoned and dipped. They couldn't have done any better. The fries & cheese curds were fantastic as well! After the beef my son ordered the dessert dog with PB & J, it sounded absolutely insane but was surprisingly super tasty!! Strange but fun combo, it totally works. Can't wait to try the others. The staff and owners are super friendly & walked around & talked to all the customers, which was awesome! We are looking forward to going back and trying the Ditka, Pastrami, Chicago dog and other various hot dogs, they have an awesome menu! They even have pizza puffs!!! No matter where you're from if you're looking for some midwest staples or just fun really delicious food, you have to check this place out!

Ok, I try to find QUALITY Italian beef everywhere I have ever lived. Let me start with....Dogslinger's is way better than "quality". My family has been in love with Portillo's beef ever since my parents first tried it on their first date over 55 years ago! Dogslinger's has the most comparable Italian beef to the world famous Chicago establishment! It's worth a 40 min drive for me to eat their beef!

Fayetteville has desperately needed a better hot dog. And now all your Weiner dreams have come true with some serious flavor and skill. I need to go back until I've tried everything. Their Italian Beef and mega-pastrami are next on my list. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They'll work out the seating issues, but the food is worth it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

WoW! I had never had Dogslingers, and that was my mistake. Today on the day of The Bear season three dropping, I finally stopped by to grab some dogs. I had also never had an italian beef sandwich, and Im glad my first came from here. The brick and mortar just opened yesterday. The stars all aligned for this meal. Husband and I went in with huge expectations. We also purchased approximately three meals worth of food. I had a conversation with the owner about the various ways to order an italian beef. I decided to get my au jus on the side, my giardiniera mild, and added cheese. This made for a meaty melty delicious flavor combo. Everything is just right. I also had a Chicago dog. This isnt like something I've ever had before and I was super into it! Also ordered was an angry dog, this was done well and I like that the dogs are cut down the center...creating a valley for the toppings. We had fries that were pretty standard and something called pasta poppers. Garlicky noodles in a ball that are deep fried. Like an arancini but different, dangerously yummy. The owners and staff are wonderful and welcoming. In the culinary world that often tries to reinvent the wheel, they are slinging classic favorites executed flawlessly.

I have some amazing benchmarks for what I consider an amazing dog/chili cheese dog. This one here just is not it. 1. Overpriced. Paid $20 for 2 chili cheese dogs, tots, and a fountain drink. 2. Once received, the 2 chili cheese dogs I expected to fill me up, looked very underwhelming. Basic grocery store bought buns - the extremely short ones you can find at cookouts. The chili- basic and grossly underserved. The cheddar cheese - again - basic store brought cheese, and sparsely spread. Asked for some chopped onions - sparsely spread. The tots - they were obviously frozen and oven baked. Not fried. If I'm wrong, then I'm mistaken. But I know what tots taste like from the oven vs deep fried. This is not a place for hot dog lovers. Please improved the quality. Unless Fayetteville is used to this display of quality. Be better please. Not coming back.

I paid $10.66 for a Fat Tire. You pay by the ounce and I won't make that mistake again. The service was excellent and they tried hard. I really wanted to like this place. It's too expensive for the amount and quality imo. Do not get the cheese nachos. Had better at sporting arenas.

Date of Visit: Aug. 4, 2025…read more Nearing the last leg of my road trip making my way back to Florida I was wanting to stop at a place in Four Oaks but once again the place was closed. Last trip it was a Wednesday when I was coming thru and the place was closed on that day, this time there was construction on the street and all the business' were closed. So I kept going south on 301 till I came upon this dog house. I had done some research on my route and I knew this place was here but didn't think I would stop because I was planning on another place. But hay, they were open and I was hungry. I was in the mood for hot dog as well since I did have my share of burgers so far. I went inside saw the counter where to order. I choose the foot-long with cheese, onions, fries and a drink. These dogs are not grilled and if I had known I would have skipped the cheese and had relish instead. The cheese is a whiz type, not bad but not my first choice. The foot-long and fries were ready and my name called. It was well wrapped when received and fries hot. I started in on it and not sure what to think, I was expecting a grilled dog but it was still good and the fries were really tasty. I had some time to think about what I just ate. From other foot-longs I've had this one wasn't in the same league as the grilled. I kept thinking two maybe three stars, but the more I thought about it I was like wait a minute, I just had a foot-long, fries and a drink for just under eight dollars. This was a four star including the value all day. I will stop back when I'm on the road again, but I'll have to try the burger. I saw others had burgers and they did look pretty good. If traveling thru this way and needing a foot-long give it a try. Peace.
