Beef Hot Dog- Regular with added sauerkraut & side of onion rings
    Surelyne L.

It's not definitely a fancy place. Atmosphere is typical fast food. It's a good place to grab a quick bite. My beef hot dog was very good as was their chili topping. Onion rings were made with real rings of onion...not the chopped up onions that you normally find in fast food. They were piping hot & crispy. Service was helpful & friendly. They have some decadent looking shakes on the menu that I'll be putting on my to-try list.

Husband wanted a hotdog so we figured going to a place that specializes in hotdogs & it would be a good experience for him. I tried the fish sandwich, fries, and his chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets were the best thing there. They had good flavor. The tea was not sweet. The fries were dry, the fish sandwich was bland, but the tartar sauce wasn't bad. The price of that should've been like $5. A Mac Donald's fish sandwich & fries would've tasted better. & the customer service wasn't good. No one spoke, not even when we went up to be served. Just blah. I will not ever eat here again.

    Footlong coney deluxe.

Haven't been to a Weiner Works in over 30 years, stopped by this one to see if the footlong coney deluxe dog was all I remembered it to be. Picked up the dog and an apple pie and headed back to the hotel. The dog was absolutely awesome... the chili and slaw was exactly as I remembered them. They used to have fried fruit pies back in the day, so a Sara Lee-packaged apple pie caught me off guard. It was good, but I was wishing for those fried cherry pies of yesteryear. Dog and a pie was about $5.50

Yum. Good food. Fast service. One of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm in Fayetteville. You want a good chili dog eat at Wiener Works.

Great for cheat days and very inexpensive. The staff is always so friendly and they keep the place clean. It runs like a well-oiled machine.

Got a chili dog and the BBQ taco variety plate (I don't remember what it was called) to go. I waited an hour to eat the chili dog. It was a good solid chili dog, the dog itself was delicious, the chili and bread was ok, but that's probably b/c I let it get cold. Fast forward to about 30 minutes ago when I got to eat these tacos sent from God himself. I didn't get to heat them up... but the meat was that of a grass fed unicorn fawn, that was fathered by a mysterious hybrid chicken-cow-pig. That baby had to have only drank butter, bathed in BBQ sauce, and slept in a spice rack it's few years of life. The fresh diced jalapeños were a delightful surprise and whatever the sauce was (I'm guessing a siracha sour cream of some kind) had to be made from the milk of that baby unicorns mom. 12 outta 10, going to go back and learn the name of this dish by ordering it at least 10 more times and test out that beer wall.

I have some amazing benchmarks for what I consider an amazing dog/chili cheese dog. This one here just is not it. 1. Overpriced. Paid $20 for 2 chili cheese dogs, tots, and a fountain drink. 2. Once received, the 2 chili cheese dogs I expected to fill me up, looked very underwhelming. Basic grocery store bought buns - the extremely short ones you can find at cookouts. The chili- basic and grossly underserved. The cheddar cheese - again - basic store brought cheese, and sparsely spread. Asked for some chopped onions - sparsely spread. The tots - they were obviously frozen and oven baked. Not fried. If I'm wrong, then I'm mistaken. But I know what tots taste like from the oven vs deep fried. This is not a place for hot dog lovers. Please improved the quality. Unless Fayetteville is used to this display of quality. Be better please. Not coming back.

Date of Visit: Aug. 4, 2025…read more Nearing the last leg of my road trip making my way back to Florida I was wanting to stop at a place in Four Oaks but once again the place was closed. Last trip it was a Wednesday when I was coming thru and the place was closed on that day, this time there was construction on the street and all the business' were closed. So I kept going south on 301 till I came upon this dog house. I had done some research on my route and I knew this place was here but didn't think I would stop because I was planning on another place. But hay, they were open and I was hungry. I was in the mood for hot dog as well since I did have my share of burgers so far. I went inside saw the counter where to order. I choose the foot-long with cheese, onions, fries and a drink. These dogs are not grilled and if I had known I would have skipped the cheese and had relish instead. The cheese is a whiz type, not bad but not my first choice. The foot-long and fries were ready and my name called. It was well wrapped when received and fries hot. I started in on it and not sure what to think, I was expecting a grilled dog but it was still good and the fries were really tasty. I had some time to think about what I just ate. From other foot-longs I've had this one wasn't in the same league as the grilled. I kept thinking two maybe three stars, but the more I thought about it I was like wait a minute, I just had a foot-long, fries and a drink for just under eight dollars. This was a four star including the value all day. I will stop back when I'm on the road again, but I'll have to try the burger. I saw others had burgers and they did look pretty good. If traveling thru this way and needing a foot-long give it a try. Peace.

We brought our other family members here with us this trip and everyone really enjoyed their meals and the service. The service is impeccable, they definitely provide you with that southern hospitality and welcoming spirit. The inside is very clean with plenty of seating and it's very tastefully decorated. The hot dogs are the bomb, I played it safe this time and went with two dogs with mustard on onion and sauerkraut, and the buns are extremely fresh and hotdog are full of flavor. That's what makes this place so special...... The shoestring french fries are done to perfection. They're not greasy and are very nice and crisp and well prepared. The buffalo chicken salad was done to perfection, and it was full of flavor and tasted amazing. This is one of the better cheesesteaks in the area we feel, a very generous amount of meat and cheese on a fresh several. You will not be disappointed with it for sure. I had the opportunity to meet the owner again and he is such a genuine individual, you can tell he puts his heart and soul into this restaurant and guess what ? They are in a process of opening another location some more people can enjoy their food and their vast way of hotdog selections !!!!! We did have the opportunity to try the peanut butter and jelly hotdog, which the owner brought over to us to try and let's just say we are sold on it . It has such a great flavor and is a very unique combination and you can not go wrong with it. Thank you for letting us give that a try. It was really really good. So in a nutshell, we highly recommend Dog Slingers We look forward to our next visit to this area and stopping here for lunch or dinner thank you so much for providing such amazing food and the creative side of hotdogs! Almost forgot they do breakfast sandwiches in different breakfasts which from looking at the menu are well were stopping for !!
