I was called out to go provide in disaster relief for Florida and was in a desperate need last Saturday. Sandy graciously accepted My Charlie at the eleventh hour. I was so sad to leave him but he was so happy to be there. He seemed to have remembered his visits from the past and was happy. We adopted a dog form the Vulcan Animal Clinic and they were clearly awful to the dog. Someone had…read morefound her on the side of the road, the clinic kept her for a few weeks to see if her owner showed up. We adopted her after she'd been in their care for 2 weeks. When we brought her home she had so much matted hair that her body was a different shape and she had a obvious skin infection. They clearly didn't take care of her. In addition, they charged us an adoption fee that included getting her fixed. They opened her up and they advised us that she had already been spayed. Weeks later she started bleeding. We took her to our normal vet and they found that she'd never been fixed so we had to pay for another surgery and she had to go through all of that again. We called and emailed the clinic to let them know of their mistake and never got a response back. Our regular vet told us that we should report Vulcan Animal Clinic to State Veterinary Board as they were clearly neglecting the dog while she was in their care and they showed gross incompetence when it came to the surgery. We will be doing this. I cannot recommend avoiding this place enough! If I could give it a 0 star rating I would.
