I have been to this bakery several times and I have always enjoyed all my purchases. However, yesterday my husband and I were in there it was fairly busy. We waited for our turn. The girl helping the people in front us was very friendly and wished the couple a happy 4th of July. She took our order, packed our items and sent us on our way. No thank you, no happy 4th of July. My husband and I are POC and we felt very slighted. I'm not sure I want to visit a place that is so racially biased. In search of an authentic Italian bakery, someone highly recommended Dolci Momenti so I gave it a try! Funny how I was at the Turkish place right next door a few months ago and never thought of trying it then! Well, I'm glad for the recommendation because this is a really nice bakery! The tables and seating struck me as soon as I walked in on top of the displays and how clean it was, I knew I found a great bakery! I ordered some rainbow cookies, a couple of eclairs and cream puffs. The rainbow cookies are without a doubt some of the best I've had in a long time. The cream puffs I was expecting custard filling but what I chose were the cream puffs filled with chocolate pudding instead, I didn't know there were choices but these did not disappoint, I love chocolate pudding and the flavor/texture was perfect, not too sweet. I called the bakery when I got home and they actually offer 3 types of cream puffs. Chocolate pudding, custard and cannoli filling. The pudding has the chocolate stripe on top, the custard is the plain dough sprinkled with powdered sugar and the cannoli cream puff has a little cannoli cream coming out of it with shavings on top. The eclairs were delicious but they only make the mini size! There are LOTS of pastries, varieties of cookies, cakes, cheescakes and breads. It's too bad I do not like coffee because there is an expresso bar for you to have with your favorite dessert! I will definitely be back, so much more to try here! The bakery has a nice place to sit to have coffee. The only guarantee for a fresh cake is if you order it. The cake i got today tasted like it was two days old or longer. Shame on them. $24 for a stale cake. If they had integrity, they should offer it for half- which i would gladly take. I did not feel like going back to get a refund. Bad business practice. This makes me sad to write this bc i love this bakery. But yesterday i bought their fruit tres leches cake. Which wasn't cheap.I went home and put in fridge till time to sing happy birthday. I took the plastic off around the cake so we can cut it and the whole cake literally collapsed. It must have been too heavy and wet it turned to mush couldn't even eat it. We've been regulars at Dolce Momenti in Medford, often stopping by for desserts and a cappuccino after dinner. The desserts are always so good -- truly one of the highlights of the visit. Unfortunately, last night left a bad taste. I had already picked out some treats and kindly asked for a cappuccino, like I've done before. Right away, I felt uncomfortable when the staff -- the one helping us and her two coworkers -- exchanged looks and gave off an annoyed vibe. When I asked if there was a time limit to order a cappuccino (around 7:20-7:30pm), I was told, "it's just that we cleaned it," with clear attitude. This isn't the first time I've felt a bit of friction for asking, but this time it was too obvious to ignore. Out of respect, I told them not to worry about it and took my business elsewhere. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but kindness and customer service go a long way -- even for something as simple as a coffee. My go to bakery when I'm visiting family in this area. Prominently and super conveniently located on Route 112. So far everything I have bought from here has been some delicious. Most recently notable is the sausage and provolone bread that sits atop the counter. Pop it in the oven or the toaster and quickly in the AM and it makes for a delicious breakfast. We've bought cakes, cookies, and pastries (oh my!) and each time we bring them back to the house we gush over how good it is. Every time I go in, I'm met with a smile a speedy service. Oh they don't have, then he points oh they are there and tells me they're raspberry or custard filling. ( look like apple turnovers). Girl ask whose next ( no number tickets) ( not busy) I raise my hand and say I am. I order custard puffs * delicious- and--- the Napkin things. ( paying with card 4% +fee) she asked me would I like a receipt? Yes and I add I'd like something showing each cost. I'm charged 6 dollars and change for the 2 Napkins ( of which one was chocolate and i had her change to custard) I ask ( as there was no price on them) how much was each one? 3 dollars and change. I note - but what about the buy 1 get 1 Free? Oh she says I wasn't aware... I show her the sign right in front of us on the top of the counter! She has to ask another who then takes my card and credits the 3 dollars and change due me. Fantastic and the real deal. Dolci Momenti Bakery supplied our Christmas Eve 2021 desserts and it was nothing but amazing. I had an odd craving for cannolis for dessert this year and, my husband who grew up in town, affirmed the best in the area would come from Dolci Momenti Bakery. Tell me it's the best in town without telling me it's the best in town? Well, you pull up in the morning and the line to get in is wrapped around the side of the building! I couldn't believe it's taken me so long to make it here, but I don't see myself getting my fresh baked treats and goodies anywhere else when we're in town! The hype must have been real because midway through waiting in line, the staff came out warning us that credit cards weren't working as a form of payment. I was secretly excited since I figured many would jump out of line, but most people remained in their spot and called family/friends to come drop off cash. By the time we made it inside, I knew right away we were in for a treat. Fresh breads lined the store, holiday cookie trays were set out, and tons of yummy goodies greeted us in the display cases. Patrons were leaving with boxes and bags full of items for their Christmas celebrations. Though we came for the cannolis (which we ended up getting almost a dozen assorted mini ones), we also left with cream puffs, cupcakes, rainbow cakes, gingerbread cookies, and some gluten free desserts. Everything was super fresh and the girl who helped us packaged everything pristinely. My favorites were the traditional cannolis and the regular cream puffs. As others have mentioned, it was definitely apparent the cream they're using is made in house (or tastes exactly like it is!). Though they were super busy and the credit card reader was down, the staff maintained an efficient yet friendly pace to helping customers out. They were prepared for the holiday rush and handled the busyness with grace and professionalism. Pricing was fair for our total order and definitely justified the quality and taste of the items. AWFUL AWFUL customer service. First off, I called the day before to find out what time they were open being that it was going to be Easter morning. They told me that they opened at 7 AM. I also told them I was looking for a Easter bread and they told me they would have plenty. I showed up at 7 AM. There were multiple people on line as well. Meanwhile, they actually didn't open until 8 AM. We saw people inside, and no one had the courtesy to let us know that they were opening at eight instead of seven.
