These tiles which were the focus of my trip can be used as standalone art pieces, high end artistic back splashes, accent pieces and the list goes on and on. I am considering buying a beautiful Calaveras tile (Mexican Day of the dead celebration represented by colorfully decorated skull) for the tequila station I have in my basement bar. This is just one example of the some of the uses for these artistic tiles as they can add beauty in so many ways to your home. Overall I am a big fan of this business. She was excited it was open yesterday, since it was a holiday weekend she wasn't sure if it would be. A lot of things were 50% off throughout the store and I ended up getting some vintage-looking earrings, a notebook, and a tiny notebook. The tiny notebook was only $1 which was a great deal. The bookstore has a large selection of books, mostly children's books, and also some children's clothing and other knickknacks. Shopkeeper was very friendly and chatted with us a bit too, she told me it was nice to see people out and about again. If you're in downtown South Lyon I'd recommend stopping by and taking a look, even if you don't currently need to buy any books, as they have other things to purchase as well.

They have trading cards, games, books, music and figurines. You can buy and sell here as well. They are new so they still have time to grow and get more merchandise. It is nice to have another used bookstore in the area. This place has books, toys, collectables,…read moregame counsels, so much packed in a tight area. Since it is so new, it seems like it has room to grow as far as book offerings. Each section is rather small, but the beauty of this place is that they buy books as well. So as more people find out about this place, they will most likely get a better selection. I personally did not find any new books I wanted, but I hope to encounter some next time. In the collectables, they had some unique finds, including some very rare and very niche retro anime figurines that were pretty impressive. They also had some interesting collectables that were fairly expensive, so I imagine true collectors would understand that value of the merchandise. While the used books were not as inexpensive as I would like, they seemed to be in good condition, and they had stacks and stacks of items for only a dollar or two. The people working here seemed very friendly and eager to help. I would come back again.

You may find something for a couple dollars up to maybe $50 for a few things but most are geared to be different and moderately priced. There's always a clearance area that I like to check out as I usually find something for the nephews and also.....for my cats. Mark downs are pretty generous too. Good place to check out when you are in the Henry Ford Museum. BTW, the store is inside the Henry Ford so you will need admission to the museum.

There's a lot here if you're willing to dig through! There's a vintage area with tons of old, vintage papers, photographs, sheet music, postcards, photo albums, negatives, etc. Loads of scrap fabric and remnants, yarn, embroidery floss, notions, scrap paper, scrapbooking materials, stickers, stencils, even industrial supplies like foam scraps, and household materials like pill bottles (empty of course), lids, jars, storage containers, craft kits, old calendars, big bins of wine corks, pens, etc. They have a HUGE selection of old National Geographic issues, some going back as far as the 1930s. Perfect for collages or collecting. They also have a few machines like scales, microscopes, sewing machines, etc. As well as a few tools, wood and metal working items, just bits and bobs of tons of things to sort through. It changes all the time so stop in regularly to see what they get in! And the best part? It's all SO cheap and keeps all these things out of landfills (56K lbs just last year)! Upcycling FTW! Some things are in better condition than others but if you're the creative type you will be inspired by all you can find here. And since things are so affordable you can really take risks and noodle around without worrying about wasting your supplies. Want more inspo?
