NEVER did I chose anything close to a mini van. But guess what I ended up getting? A mini van. So I called their 800 number the next day & was told they had NUMEROUS vehicles available & that I would be able to trade it in. I get to the location & was told they don't have anything available & that the people at the 1 800 number usually don't check if they have anything available. Kinda weird if you ask me. They have access to your system & to see what vehicles you have, but when I get there there's nothing? Hmmmm, I drove allllll the way over there just to be turned away. If those cars are reserved what about the reservation I made? I would expect you would take care of an existing customer who's renting a vehicle out for a whole month & half. I don't man, seems kinda messed up for me to get the shit end of the stick. I even went on the app & tried to rent a car & I was able to reserve a vehicle...why tell me there nothing available when I could go ahead & reserve a car?

After we got a Lyft to our correct car rental location the first car they gave us we did the walk around inspection and it had a ton of damage they weren't "aware" of luckily we caught that so we were not charged. The second car was is much better shape however the inside was dirty. We also asked about dropping off our car at the other airport we are actually flying out of and we're told we had to call Avis customer service. A few days prior to our leaving we called Avis to figure this out. We spoke to 2 different people neither of them could even find our rental car information or our names in their system. Does this mean we get a free car???? Ha, they were unable to help us and told us to call where we would like to drop off the car and maybe they could help us. They also told us we would be charged but couldn't tell us what that charge would be. This is very POOR service.

I was even upgraded, I think, to a F-150 pick up truck although I had booked a simple full size car. When in Texas, I guess? Then things took a turn for the worse. First, finding the lot where the cars were parked wasn't that simple especially at night since it wasn't well lit, there wasn't signage, and no one was providing direction. Then I opened the truck and noticed an odor. At first I thought it was the typical scent of a cleaning product and tried to ignore it. Several miles away from the airport, however, I realized the scent wasn't diminishing despite having all the widows down. That's when I realized that there were cheap air fresheners stuffed into the vents. At first I saw about four or five of them. But then I discovered they were in every vent of the car, front and back, and even in other compartments including the cup holders! Probably more than 20 in total. The smell was so strong my eyes were watering and my hands were covered with the smell even after I had pulled them all out. That alone was disgusting. Shortly after, though, when I didn't think things could get worse, I noticed that the dashboards and other surfaces were slightly sticky and wet from what I assume was a cleaner that didn't fully dry and/or wasn't wiped off. And, finally, the next morning (with daylight) it became clear the car was not cleaned and the air fresheners and cleaner were pathetically attempting to cover up whatever smell or dirtiness that was left. Basically the truck was someone who didn't shower/bathe and instead used cleaning wipes, deodorant, and cheap cologne. Disgusting.

They do not hold a reservation for you and dont know why they even ask what you prefer to drive. Reserved the car with my TD Bank Visa debit card online which is linked to my bank account. When I arrived i was told that Avis does not accept debit cards which is not correct. I had rented from Avis and others before with this card. Avis does accept debit cards which are Master Card and Visa. If my wife had not brought her TD Bank visa credit card, we would had been stranded. Nothing but problems with Avis at this location.

They and budget are supposedly one in the same! beware! budget did not honor our reservation price…read more did not have our car in stock. Upgraded us and increased our bill by $30. then when less than 24 hrs later the low tire pressure kept coming on and the tires were almost flat we could not got no answer on their 24 hr number and it had no voicemail. Then the next day they did not have a replacement other than a compact to switch it out and charge us the higher price. I refused. after 3 hrs lost of our vacation, the money we had to spend to fill the tires several times, and the danger it put us in, they insulted us more by over charging us for the car we had less than 48 hrs. another $23.62. Because they are a franchise they can get away with it. beware. do not use. When the representative told me they could not provide a equal replacement it was due to the fact they have sold off most of their inventory!!!!! So in total they ripped us off over $50 dollars plus expenses to fill the tires and 3 hrs lost of our vacation.
