At the Avis website they list their hours as 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, but they just staff the Avis counter whenever they feel like it. I had a online Avis reservation for pickup at 4 p.m. I stopped by at 2 p.m. to let them know I was planning to pick up the car at 4 p.m. per my reservation. There was no one at the Avis counter, but the store clerk said, there would be someone there at 4 p.m., at my reservation pickup time. I came back at 4 p.m., and there was still no one staffing the Avis counter. They told me to come back in 45 minutes. I did, still no one there. I waited around until 5:30 p.m. and no one ever came, so the store clerk felt sorry for me and just gave me keys to one of the cars without any rental agreement. Rent at the Dollar place in East Glacier . . . a fully staffed, professional operation.

I said I needed the car ready to roll--the minute they opened-- so I could drive up in time to make my Red Bus tour in the park. He graciously promised that it was no problem to make this happen and had the door open even before their usual 8 a.m. opening time. Awesome! Sure enough the Subaru I rented was perfect and I made the tour time in no time. This Enterprise knows what they are doing and keep their word. Not every location is as good as this one. Last year when my Bug was down, I rented from my local go-to Enterprise, which would forget to pick me up or mess up my order. There was a constant stream of new personnel always learning the ropes here that made me nervous to deal with them. The Kalispell rental office has seasoned pros ready to cater to your every rental need. Also, management trainee Cody was great. He was understanding when I was delayed returning the car when I got lost trying to find them. Normally, I would deduct 1 YELP STAR from the review since this Evergreen location does not accept cash, due to liability reasons. There were two people at the desk which definitely improved the speed and efficiency. The car that we rented was also super new with only 8k miles! The only downside about renting your car from here is you have to wait for their shuttle to pick you up from FCA which took about 20 minutes.

The car they provided was amazing. really really nice. the return process involved checking in with someone at a kiosk outside. A couple in front of us were taking forever arguing about something so it held up the line. If they had two employees checking cars in it would probably be better.

I had to rent through another company on same day which costed way more, and since I couldn't choose a different drop off location without it costing over 1000$. I had to drive 2 hours to missoula, rent a car in Missoula, have my brother drive the other car, then return the rental in kalispell, then drive back 2 hours to Missoula to catch the flight in Missoula. We needed a car for a day to drive to the Glacier National Park and after calling Hertz, Budget and Enterprise, this was the only place that had a car left. (It's peak season in July in Montana so make sure you book way in advance). I explained to the owner that my husband and I were staying in Whitefish and could take an Uber to Coram, where the car rental is located. I asked him if it was easy to get an Uber back to Whitefish after returning the car the same day (we rented the car for 5hrs and had to pay $110). He said he would give us a ride back into town for $25. Knowing we had a way back home, we felt safe to book a car with him. He asked us to give him a call when we get back from the Glacier National Park as his office will be closed by the time we get back. Living down the street, he said it wasn't a problem for him and he gave us his cell phone. We arrived at 6:15pm and called his cell. He picked up and was very confused with who was calling him (?!?!) and then said to park the car where we picked it up and to leave the key on the tire. We hung up and then I realized that he was supposed to give us a ride back to Whitefish as promised. I called him back twice and he didn't pick up/ignored our calls. Uber/Lyft was not available at that time but luckily, my husband and I found someone to get us to town. This company is a SCAM.
