This was the only car rental experience I've had where the entire paper process took about 5 minutes, which my friends and I really appreciated!! There were two people at the desk which definitely improved the speed and efficiency. The car that we rented was also super new with only 8k miles! The only downside about renting your car from here is you have to wait for their shuttle to pick you up from FCA which took about 20 minutes. read more

Do not get fooled by low price!! We rented a car from Sacramento airport and while we had it, some birds took a big dump on it while we were in a restaurant. Before returning it we ran it through the car wash. It helped but didn't get it completely clean. We got the final statement and they changed us $400 for external cleaning! The reps when we checked in for our car were inattentive 20 somethings that were not helpful in identifying any potential needs for the rental (snow chains, upgrade to a better car, asking about additional insurance for us. While we were prepared to get extra and pay for it, we did just got off of the plane and somewhat familiar with the weather And surroundings but as a rep of the company, you should at least try to upscale and protect your assets. read more

Amazing customer service and unbeatable value for money. Our flight reached at 12 midnight and we had a pickup person waiting for us. The lady was really nice and helped us with our general questions. The dollar location is 5 minutes from the airport and the person on the desk was really helpful too. They had free water bottles to welcome travelers. We were in and out in 10 minutes. Above all the car we got had 250 miles on it, can't ask for more for $45 per day in peak July 4th weekend. read more

Would not say the final price before charging my card. He then showed the receipt and the rates were higher then what was in the original rental agreement. When asked why this was and said that the rates did not match up, the staff member took the keys back and denied the car even though it was already charged. Never rent a car from this place. Absolute criminals. I dropped off my vehicle on a Sunday when they were closed and 6 months later got a call from a collections agency saying I broke the windshield and owed $1,200. I disputed this since I turned the car in perfectly... and no one had ever contacted me from the location to mention anything about damages. Weeks later they sent me pics of the windshield which was all smashed up and timestamped minutes after I turned the car in (when there wasn't a single person working there) clearly using an old camera to take the pic where they manipulated the time on the camera. Bottom line is someone screwed up at this location and blamed me for it and purposely never called me so I couldn't dispute it until it was passed off to a 3rd party coming after me and insurance $. Ridiculous. Avoid this place and the crooks who work here. read more

After a long day of finding out that I had double booked a rental car (in two different locations) and tireless phone calls with the other company (Hot Wire Booking is the WORST) who ultimately would not cancel my car...I was forced to have to cancel with Dollar Car. This car rental facility offers a shuttle service online but it is not dedicated and not always available. The facility is 3.5 miles from the airport. The service was extremely slow both to get the car and to return the car. For a day business trip it cost me too much lost time. As a non- smoker its similar to getting service in a casino bar. read more

Very disappointed. I booked a car online and followed up with a call to verify they were AT the airport. Not really sure what part of are you at the airport they didn't understand. I was traveling with my 1.5 year old grandson and my 81 year old mother. They stated they were AT the airport Fast forward, after a major flight issue which has nothing to do with them, I called again said we would be 3 to 4 hours late and wanted to verify they held reservation and were at the airport.. Again, yes we are at the airport After a 13 hour travel day, I arrive and NO THEY ARE NOT AT THE AIRPORT I call and they say go outside and wait for shuttle.I said I was told you were at the airport, again she said we technically are. Really 3 miles away!!! This was unprofessional, unethical and flat out lied to me. I ended up renting AVIS and the wonderful-more $$ but seriously stay away. Very friendly service. I was shuttled from the airport a couple miles down the road (dollar is off-site) where my car was already out front and waiting for me. The shuttle driver loaded my luggage into my rental and I just walked in a signed the paperwork. Mike was friendly and the staff gave me tips on where to eat and what to check out while in Kalispell. Fantastic customer service. Driver was waiting inside airport baggage area with our name on a sign for pickup as soon as we landed. I had called a few days earlier to let them know which flight number we would be arriving on. Received the car requested and were on our way in no time. Got a great rate and B.J's. NO star!! The Dollar Rent A Car office is 3.5 miles away from the airport. We reserved a car from 8 AM on 9/1 to be returned at 11:30 PM on 9/3. When we picked up the car, the gentleman whose name is Mike, told us that we should cut our rental period short and return the car before 6 PM because they close at 6 PM. But that did not fit our travel schedule. Then he suggested that we drop it off at the airport at a certain location for an additional fee. Since I was not familiar with the airport, I asked him several times trying to understand exactly where he wanted the car be parked. Then he said "you don't speak English well". I asked if we can drop off at the same place, he finally said that we can return the car at the same car rental location and put the key in the after hour drop box. I am wondering, as a traveler, how do I know the fine details of the airport layout? As a customer, do I need to pass an English proficiency test to have a conversation with Mark? We called to confirm an extra underage driver and was told we could add one for an additional fee added for a driver under 21, we arrived and was told that it wouldn't be allowed. We will absolutely use Dollar Car Rental the next time we fly in. Booking over the phone was a breeze, and Dollar was the only place that had an available car when we flew in on Aug 11 - I called everywhere! I didn't want to use them at first because we'd have to take an airport shuttle to them, but that wasn't an issue at all. The shuttle was there in no time and the driver was friendly and took care of our baggage for us. Took less than 5 min to get our car. Upon return, we were running late dropping off and didn't want to miss our flight. Ethan was working and when he thought we might be cutting it too close, he called his shuttle to find out how soon he'd be there to pick us up. Turns out he was at the airport (which really wasn't far at all), so he told us to put our bags back in our car we just returned and he ran out to the car with us and drove us there himself. We made our flight with time to spare and were so impressed with their customer service! read more

In the process of booking a car for my incoming flight on Delta that arrives at 11:45pm. I did notice they said they were offsite but did not see a big red flag that they close at midnight. I saw this on Google Maps when I looked up their location relative to the airport. Delta and United both have the last flight of the day arriving within the 15 minutes before midnight. This agency will not accommodate those flights. When I emailed to verify that even though their office hours say they close at midnight that they surely would service those last flights of the day I was sent a reply that they would not stay open and if it would be convenient for me I could change my reservation for the next morning! LOL Ummm sure, that sounds very convenient. I can not say if they are nice or its managed well as I won't be booking with them but wanted people to be aware that if you are flying in and are in a situation where your flight could even delay you past midnight, they will be closed. read more
