Not only did he make sure my family and I had everything we needed before we rolled off the lot, he also gave me more ideas than I could have planned for while there. Real "local info/tips" that you probably wouldn't get from one of the other rude, corporate rental companies. In addition to the Jeep rentals (which are super clean and bad @$$) they even offer guided tours, off road vehicle rentals (ATV's), and many other great services that were not initially listed on the site I found them on. Beware! The owner is a man named Don. I called to arrange for a rental for 7/9/15 through…read more7/16/15. Don said he would have the car at the airport, in the public area on the night of 7/8 (when we were to arrive), with the keys above the visor and that he would meet my wife and I at our hotel the next morning to sign the papers. My instructions were to call upon arrival and he would identify the car. This sounded a bit odd but maybe that's the way a small business might do things in a smaller town, like Kalispell. On 7/8 I sent Don a text message with the details of our trip and asked for a confirmation which he did confirm. Our flight was 2 hours late so we arrived at 11:00 PM instead of 9:00 PM. I called Don's number several times but there was no answer. We took a taxi to our hotel, which cost $25.00. The next morning I called Don and he at first seemed a bit out of touch, expecting that we would be arriving the 9th instead of the 8th - so much for the confirmation, I thought to myself. He then went on to tell me how the car had been totaled and his office ransacked, he was having a horrible day, and that he would have to call me in a couple of hours to make arrangements. I told my wife this was beginning to sound like a Country Western song and I was uneasy with the whole thing. I asked the hotel manager what she knew of Practical Rent a Car and she knew nothing. More or less instinctively she called the number for the business and asked where they were located. Don answered and fired back the question "Why do you want to know!" to which she replied "because I have a couple who need a car" Much to our chagrin Don's response was something along the line "I don't appreciate you calling before normal business hours" and hung up. A couple of minutes later Don called me stating he did not appreciate me having somebody call and harass him and that I would have to find a rental somewhere else. My wife, the manager and I sort of looked at each other, a bit bemused, having to admit this something of a memorable incident. At that my wife and I took the opportunity to see some of Kalispell and walked to Enterprise Rentals on the other side of town. I have to give some sort of rating so I'll give Don and Practical Rent a Car one star for originality.

We were told That we had to pay 75%cancellation fee. I was shocked. A fire is a natural disaster not just inclement weather. I tried to go to management but no one would respond to me. We lost $337.00 which was the 75% cancellation fee. Our refund was $114. 00 Out of the original payment of $461.00. I feel violated by this campground. We had to completely change our travel itinerary due to the fires. However, everyone else was so accommodating and understanding to these changes EXCEPT Whispering Pines RV Park. This experience certainly put a damper on our travel plans.

The service staff is great, there is an onsite cafe (Sunflower Cafe), showers, electric/water hookups, dump station, and large play area. Sites vary from tents to RVs to Cabins, with a maximum RV length of 32'. Our motorhome is 32' with two slides and our site was just right. It was very level for parking, has a fire ring and picnic table (all the tables in the park are in good condition & freshly painted). Some sites are not as level, but they accommodate a wide range of RV & tent campers. The Sunflower Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in the outside dining area or to go. We had the beef brisket one night and a breakfast sandwich one morning. Both meals were delicious. Although we are in Montana and were expecting to see a lot of pro-GOP/anti-Dem flags & attitudes, we were pleasantly surprised to see none! Our camping neighbors were a nice gay married couple who were super friendly. Liberals, gays and other progressive people would be very comfortable here, as would those not-so-woke. Price-wise they are cheaper than the nearby KOA and are a great option for those who don't camp in the park. We paid $302 (with AAA discount) for 4 nights.

I am not sure of the name of the person I spoke with (that was overshadowed by his ridiculous attitude), but he was one of the rudest customer service employees I have come across. Firstly, from the start he acted annoyed with me inquiring and asking questions about what they could offer and how much. When I wanted to move from talking about one day to talking about another he would say things like, "well we haven't gotten to Saturday yet" with a sarcastic undertone. When I would repeat myself about something he would rudely say "Yes, that's the information you've given me," again with an annoyed/bothered undertone. He tried to make me feel like what I was asking for was too much and was trying to cut services (that would actually make them more money) when I specifically asked for them. I got off that phone call as soon as I could with my mouth literally wide open. I had to hold back as I really wanted to tell him what I thought about his customer service, or lack thereof, but figured this was a better place to do it. Some advice, if you don't like dealing with people and you find them annoying, you should not answer the phones for inquiries on the business you work for. Maybe another profession would suit you best, one that does not interact with the human race.

Everything about this location was fantastic. The Huckleberry ice cream was great as well. The rooms were Minimalist, but had everything you could need for your stay. We had a problem with hot water the first night, but after that, everything seemed to be fine. This location is on the site of an old railroad Depot and several of the rooms are renovated rail cars. We were in the main inn; we use the washing machines and dryers. The sauna was opened, but the hot tub was not as we went very early in the season. The hot tub is located among a Grove of trees that must be amazing in the summer. Although the staff were and there were some conflicting information about various amenities, for the most part, they really were there to make, everyone comfortable. This hotel was close to the park entrance and so it was easy getting into glacier. I would stay here again.
