The meat is butchered beautifully from tail to snout and the items that i bought on a recent visit were all exceptional: - Skirt Steak: outstanding and juicy - I added a light coating of oil and salt, then finished on the grill with some smoked blue cheese on top - not sure if i ever had a better steak - Chicken Wings: simply seasoned and slow cooked on the grill with salt and some mixed seasonings my friend had in his cupboard - took on the texture of frying - and the quality of these wings is revelatory - Split Chicken Breasts (bone and skin in): similar prep to the wings and crisped up the skin on higher heat at the end - beautiful - smoked turkey, smoked ham and roast beef - sliced for sandwiches - the smoked meat tends to be a bit dry - so add some mayo or butter yer bread and then heat it first - but 1st rate quality - chicken feet for my dog - he's still dreaming bout these and for $1.50 per - get a bunch - they were just smoked - soft - they last for a long time and will harden, but my pooch ate em all quickly please go here. am absolute home run. Karen, the woman who runs the counter, is incredibly friendly and helpful! She goes out of her way to help her customers. I look forward to chatting with her every time I go. The one thing to be aware of though is that they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Tip for the wise: Don't go too late or everything will be picked over!

Next to the register was a small package wrapped in red & white string, labeled "Bonnie's Uncommon Fruitcake." I've been a sucker for trying fruitcakes ever since I had my first slice of Freihofer's Fruitcake over seventy years ago. Here was a locally baked fruitcake with no difficult to pronounce or preservative ingredients. That definitely made it "Uncommon." Pecans, dates, candied fruit (cherries, pineapple), eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. That's it! I thought it tasted delicious. It was not overly sweet, had a good amount of nuts and candied fruit, and there was minimal cake (flour) holding it all together perfectly. I am not interested since I am already committed to bagging my own groceries at Aldi. It appears other customers agree with me since the line I was in was four deep yet two self service lanes were not being utilized. Aldi works the few employees they have in store hard. I heard that they are paid well and gave good benefits which is great. However, the store is often unkempt; for example, the shelves are disorganized especially the beverage displays and the meat and produce sections. The prices are good, but the the service is lacking. I much prefer going to Trader Joe's where I am treated well. I love its checkout process and the layout. I also like interacting with the many employees present in the store who are eager to help the customer. I also like the numerous specialty products, the prepared foods available, and the cheese selection.

Also, it appears they took away all the shopping baskets, forcing customers to use carts, probably to push people into spending more money...but absolutely at the expense of the convenience they claim to provide. Then there's the layout of the store, which is extreme crammed. The produce section is especially jammed, providing limited avenues for customers to actually get through it, then the entire back of the store is filled with displays, making it incredibly challenging to navigate even on a day when it isn't busy. Overall, avoid, just go to Hannford.

Some days they are closed for maintenance, which they will notify you of on Facebook. You drive in the gate and park on the dirt path along the berry bushes. There is a small table set up under a canopy. The farm takes payment before or after picking. They accept cash, check, or Venmo. Today, a quart of blueberries cost $8/quart and $5.50/pint. The bushes are marked, and the paths are clear/not overgrown. Two varieties of blueberries were available for the picking.
