Sadly, Disney needs to focus on their guest experience and stop the nonsense going on in this…read morelocation. Visted the store after hearing all the hype online about deals etc and was appalled by what I witnessed. What should be a shopping experience aligned with Disney's typical guest experiences is in reality an auction and shopping hoard that is not discouraged at all by the store. The store had numerous whatnot sellers and live auctioneers conducting live auctions for store merchandise they had not yet purchased. To put this into context, these sellers DO NOT own the items they are auctioning, they are running live auctions that store customers were appearing in without knowing, selling items from the racks that they hadn't purchased yet and interfering with other shoppers as they shopped. It makes you not want to shop there and just go online and attend their auctions instead because at least then you don't have them shoving you out of the way and grabbing things back from you as you shop. They were literally live streaming shelves, starting auctions for items for sale on the shelves and blocking shoppers from buying those items they were trying to auction despite not owning the items. They had carts filled with merchandise for their auctions. When the doors opened Sunday morning the whatnot sellers were all waiting first in line and clearly knew the staff, calling some by their first name, joking with them etc. As soon as they get into the store they grab everything off the shelves and stock pile the items in their carts, cutting off shoppers, families etc. In the rear corner of the store, two men stood "guarding" multiple carts overflowing with toys they hoarded off the shelves as guests tried to shop. They refused to give the items to shoppers and claimed they were buying them. All the while standing in the back corner with piles of items that in store shoppers wanted to buy, however the whatnot sellers grabbed everything to try to auction them off from inside the store. It was crazy. You had the option to wait for them to run their auctions and see if someone online wanted to buy the item and have a shot at them then deciding to "put it back" What a joke. The staff seem very well aware that this was going on and didn't want to acknowledge it when it was called out to them. Some of them clearly have a relationship with these people. I attempted to notify a manager on the floor who I saw people auctioning within her line of sight. I asked if she saw this happening and she gave a blank stare. I then asked if she knew what whatnot was thinking maybe she doesn't understand what's happening, but she said she knew what it was and didn't understand what the issue was. I explained that there were a group of men guarding carts full of merchandise they haven't bought in the back corner of the store while their partners ran live auctions in the store. The manager just stared at me. Im not sure if she was getting a cut of the action or what. It was bizarre. A quick search on Google showed this practice is not permitted, yet the store workers and managers did nothing to stop it and engaged with sellers who were in auctioning. I took numerous pictures and videos of this happening. Amazingly, the auctioning customers were fine to record and conduct their auctions, but I was given dirty looks for taking pictures documenting what was going on. I watched as a woman visiting from another country repeatedly attempted to buy a toy from the shelf only to have a seller tell her they are auctioning the item and to put it back on the shelf. The woman's child was clearly upset and the mom was upset by the situation. This was the nonsense that staff allowed to go on. I will not shop here again because of this practice. I don't care what discount they are running on old merchandise no one wanted. The way you treat customers whether in the park or in your bargain hut should be the same as both carry the "Disney" brand name. I don't know why a company would allow their brand to be devalued by this nonsense. I LOVED that the Nike outlet had a sign visible to all strictly prohibiting this practice, not allowing auctions in their store nor will they permit the return of items from the auctioneers, preventing item hoarding. THANK YOU NIKE AND SHAME ON YOU DISNEY CHARACTER OUTLET!

Our items were described as "open box, not tested" other items said "new, other" also said "cordless". When we received the item it was corded, not cordless and there was red stickers on each item that clearly said "Defective" which was conveniently left off listing photos. Seems pretty misleading, won't buy anything from auction again.

The new location appears to have more storage for incoming stock, while the sales floor seems to be about the same amount of display space. The layout is more organized, and they have some new display racks and cases. It is a lot easier to look through the clothing and find specific sizes. Cosmetics, toiletries, household items, and cleansers are much more organized on the shelves. On the flip side, I think regular patrons were really hoping for air conditioning. It is highly recommended you go before noon and take a drink with you as it warms up quickly. They do have some fans to move the air, but it's just not enough in the afternoons to keep shoppers comfortable. They still have some great deals, but as other shoppers have mentioned, prices are higher than we were accustomed to. Where we often found adult clothing starting at $3, $5, & $7 with bo/go on $7 and up, now most clothing starts at $15, $20, & up. They also used to offer bo/go on purses, which I haven't seen yet, but maybe I missed it, or they haven't run that special yet. They have a tv screen mounted in a central location that displays any special deals they are running, so check that first before you start shopping. Most cosmetics are $1.50 each, purses $14.99 & up, and jewelry is still buy one for $5 get one free (or 2/$5). They have a lot of baby items, children's clothing, children's toys, housewares, small electronics/appliances, linens, furniture, rugs, shoes, and pet supplies. There is plenty of parking, food truck on site most days, and someone who sells frozen treats outside the warehouse. In order to use a credit card for your purchases, you must have at least $10 in merchandise, so be prepared with cash if spending less than $10. They also award you with $10 in OTG "cash" for every $50 you spend. You can come back the following week and redeem the $10 rewards on Wed or Thurs towards your purchase. Others have mentioned that the management and staff have displayed rude behavior, but I have not experienced that. Workers on the floor have been helpful about obtaining prices if an item is unmarked, helped locate specific items to see if they have it, and the cashiers have been friendly and personable. I had an item I bought that didn't work once I got it home, and I had no trouble returning and exchanging it. The only criticisms I have is that it is difficult to get through with a shopping cart, more big fans might help circulate the air, and they may want to relocate the nail polish bottles over by the jewelry. I have found when checking out, folks park their carts in front of the nail polish display and until they are done, it kind of holds up the rest of the folks who are ready to check out. It would be nice to see clothing prices lowered. They are not as deeply discounted as they were before the move and are more comparable to retail prices creating less of a draw to come shop for clothing. I enjoy stopping into OTG to shop around and will continue to shop here. Always look forward to seeing what's new on the floor and finding some good buys.

I have walked out with aerogardens for $60 (regular price $120) and today I grabbed a full size tetherball set for the backyard for $100. Books are half off the cover price. I've purchased computer chairs, toys, clothes for adults and kids, shoes, protein shakes, etc etc etc. There is a Facebook page where they post their newest deals but just walking in on the regular will get you some great finds. There was little in the way of computers, two behind the counter priced at $ 830, with no easy way to check out the specs. On several other things that I saw, that I was familiar with prices, nothing seemed like any great bargain to me. This place has no air conditioning and is a big broiler despite the fans, and is very much a warehouse in its presentation. That is ok but I would have expected to see more prices that were noticeably good. So I expect that stock changes , so worth a check if you are in the area, not a destination drive from The Villages.
