Most grocery items are just from a damaged box where the store rejects the entire box even if only 1 items has damage. Most clothing is overstock or clearance items. I have bought many of my clothes, shoes, household items, dishes, lamps, rugs, towels, toiletries. sunscreen and furniture there. On Tuesdays they give 10% off to seniors and, other days the same discount for military, first responders and probably more. The 10% off doesn't stack on top of items marked off with signs in the store. They used to carry appliances, but someone else got the Costco contract for them. They are next door in the same building. They also give regular customers an additional $5 off for every $50 spent to be used at another trip on a different day. I have a several hundred dollars worth to be used.

What I particularly enjoyed about 2nd & Charles was that they had all of the new titles and bestsellers, as well as a large collection of eclectic and vintage books that you could check out and peruse. They also offered you the opportunity to sell and trade books that you've finished, and had a section of books that were "lightly used" and highly recommended from previous readers. In addition, although I don't play video games myself, they had a nice collection of video games that were brought in from previous users, as well as a humorous assortment of t-shirts and office supplies that are sure to break the monotony of a regular office space. To conclude, 2nd & Charles was such a fun and unique store, which offered a dynamic combination of new and used books, music supplies, video games, and a range of other interesting miscellaneous items.
