I like to buy organic and it's great that there are quite a few options of organic food. However today, it was very busy and there were people lined up to get in the self-check out because they thought that was the only way the could check out. None of the registers were lit up. I asked the gal close the the register who was putting stuff out on the shelf if anyone was open. She said register 3 and so I waited a minute until she was done, with my groceries on the conveyer belt. It is so much work to self-check out and I know a lot of People don't mind doing it for a couple of things, but I am not about to do self-check out when I have a cart full of stuff. It's just ridiculous that there are employees on the floor but NOT at the registers nor were any of them lit up and as a customer, the fact that a I had to find someone and ask is terrible customer service. Okay, so we are saving money by shopping at Aldi's, does that mean that you are doing us a favor by checking us out instead of us doing self-checkout?? We are still choosing to shop at that particular store when we could buy elsewhere. My husband and are fortunate enough to be able to spend the bigger bucks at Publix, but I like some of the items there that other stores don't have, and for me, the other stores are too hard for me to shop due to it being physically more taxing. Not to mention, I still like to save money when I can. That is NOT the way to treat customers who are what make the business so successful. Just because we are saving money, does not mean that we don't deserve a modicum of customer service.

There is a reason, well, several reasons that I can point directly at to explain the rise of Publix…read moreto the very definition of what a supermarket should and could be here in the southeastern United States. First, Publix has amazing customer service. You are continuously greeted by the employees as you walk through the supermarket. They also will address any question or concern you might have. Customer service is just one thing that sets Publix apart. Another thing is their weekly BOGO (buy one, get on free) deals. Every week they have a slew of great deals. We also cannot forget their subs, affectionately known as pub subs. These are great subs. One of my main go to subs their Italian. I also like their roast beef and cheese. My daughter, who is not a huge sandwich fan, even likes their chicken tenders subs. My son, who does like sandwiches, likes their Italian sub, as well. Kind of weird to realize that some of the best subs come from a supermarket, but Publix definitely delivers. Oh, another thing that I am a fan of is the Publix diet iced tea, available over by the deli section. The deli is also pretty impressive. You can get cakes and whatnot, but I really like their bread and they also have pizza dough do that you can make your own homemade pizza. All in all, Publix is a great supermarket and it is my go to supermarket. If you have been to Publix, I am sure you will understand. If you are not familiar with Publix supermarket, try them once and you will be a fan. Publix has come a long way since they began here in Florida. They have expanded throughout the southeast and continue to grow. As I said, I do recommend Publix, definitely the best supermarket around.
