The selection seemed somewhat limited, and parts of the store felt a bit disorganized. I was able to find a pair of shoes for my son, which was exactly what we needed at the time, and the price was reasonable, though I wouldn't necessarily call it a standout deal. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and the checkout process was smooth and efficient. I'll definitely visit again in the future to see if my experience was simply a matter of timing, as inventory and organization can vary from one visit to the next.

In the middle is low tables piled high with toys, food, flotsam and Jetsom that looks like is was dumped out of a cardboard box directly onto the table. Checking out is through a carefully planned enclosed aisle way, packed with all of the impulse items you didn't know you needed. I understand pennies aren't made anymore, but so when cash is paid apparently the customers have to pay the cents I feel like it should be the responsibility of the store itself and should have gotten a Nickelback and change and they ate the two cents rather than the customer paying an extra three. Maybe even change your prices according these are all just thoughts I won't return. I'm from a different area and they understand that it is not the customers responsibility to pay extra for things that were beyond their control and they changed their prices.

This year, 2023, a gentleman named Tim took over running the store and has COMPLETELY turned it around! It is now so clean, organized, well stocked and friendly! You couldn't get down most of the aisles before without tripping over things, it was an ADA nightmare no way someone in a wheelchair could get around in there. Now the aisles are clear! Tim greets you with a smile and a kind word and cares so much about your shopping experience. I was in there today and speaking with him and an older Hispanic woman came in and he greeted her in Spanish and carried on a conversation with her in Spanish which was so wonderful to see the inclusion and love for all people of different backgrounds and cultures. Which is not common in this area. I am so grateful this gentleman Tim came in and took over this store. He leads his team with kindness and confidence. It looks quite small as well, but when you walk in it looks huge. We came in and found everything we was looking for right away. There's a very good layout of the aisles. It looks clean and very much stocked. The employee that was working up front was helpful and friendly. Now, we didn't get greeted when we arrived but after such great service, that was easily forgiven. I'm so glad that Dollar General decided to open a store in Canton, it was very much needed in this small town where you don't see much change.
