It culminated this morning at 9:39 am. As I have been a regular customer for over five years, I've become friendly with the staff especially, Tim (the butcher - 5 STARS ALWAYS), and the personnel at customer service, because I regularly purchase wine and lottery. What was really distressing, this morning your associate Brian, who has assisted me numerous times, and when I say numerous, I am referring to dozens of encounters. Brian and two other associates engaged in a conversation, when I arrived at the ACM Lane, after patiently waiting for a while, I requested assistance. Bryan came over, cordially greeted me, because he KNOWS ME. I need him to clear the wine so I could complete my transaction. He asked me for an ID, I thought he was kidding, and I inquired why? He said since I had my wallet out and since it was HIS JOB, SHOW ME YOUR ID. Please understand, I know the Winn Dixies policy for someone who looks under forty, and if it's an underage cashier, they have to physically scan the ID. But in this case, I am 66 YEARS OLD, and appear older than 40, plus this associate has ASSISTED ME BEFORE. What I did was purposely cover the date and held the ID at an unreadable distance. He said thanks, I asked him, "What's my birthdate" to which he could not answer, He said "I saw the 19 in the year" which was impossible. Apparently, this is the new Winn Dixie Customer Service or this an associate trying to prove that he has some authority. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE especially for long time customers who travel past two Winn Dixie's to shop at this location. Now, I feel disrespected and doubtful to return to this store, and this is where we purchase the bulk of our butcher prepared meat and chicken.

This particular Publix is located in a decent sized shopping plaza on the southside of Jacksonville, Florida. It has a cool enough ambiance and was enjoyable enough to shop. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. This was my stop if I had anything at Town Center to do- I could pop in here and then jump on 295 & Butler and be home in just minutes. The store itself is larger than the one closest to my home and also the one near my work. Town Center kinda makes you want to go big or go home! The store is always neat and clean and employees always friendly and helpful. I found one of my favorite deli food here a few times- something I used to enjoy at my local Publix before I moved to Jax- and potato ball filled with meat! One of the things about Publix is that the departments between stores may offer different items based on store demographics. I used to live in a Cuban populated area and they had several Cuban and Hispanic foods in the bakery and deli. I was so thrilled when I realized this location had some of these specialty items! I would stop by just to hit up their deli!

As the line grew to approximately 10 customers, the manager only looked on and was not supportive to their cashier. When another customer asked if an additional register would be opening, the manager responded with "In a few minutes another cashier will be opening up a line." The way it was said was very disrespectful to everyone within range of their voice. As I was being served, the second cashier began their work on serving customers. Again, the manager just looked on. It created a bad picture! Once more, the cashier who served me was nice and went with the flow of pace of the business. I might visit the store in the future, but not for awhile. A lot of the stores were closed And the customers size has tripled and no more employees were hired. So, while I was about the 10th person in line-I called Dames Point Pharmacy. They said they would take care of Eve for me. Imagine that! So, I went with Ernie yesterday to pick up his RX's. The entire pharmacy crew talked with both os us. SO REFRESHING! They inquired about our RSV and Tetanus shots. So, we agreed to update and get our shots. The young man gave me tetanus and RSV. I did not even feel it when he gave me my shots. I feel like they treated me like a queen. Sorry for the review, but I could go on-but I won't. Publix is far superior than any other Pharmacy. I really like Publix grocery stores. No matter the location, they are always clean and well…read moreorganized. They tend to have great weekly sales. We have always like the quality of their deli products whether it's sandwiches or chicken. I have always loved the spicy chicken wings, my son is a huge Publix chicken tenders person. Service is usually great, this location seems to be a little different. The service in the deli is very slow and it seems any requests are very complicated for this team.
