This review is solely for the Pharmacy. I am a creature of habit and not much change. But, I have been with another close by pharmacy. A lot of the stores were closed And the customers size has tripled and no more employees were hired. So, while I was about the 10th person in line-I called Dames Point Pharmacy. They said they would take care of Eve for me. Imagine that! So, I went with Ernie yesterday to pick up his RX's. The entire pharmacy crew talked with both os us. SO REFRESHING! They inquired about our RSV and Tetanus shots. So, we agreed to update and get our shots. The young man gave me tetanus and RSV. I did not even feel it when he gave me my shots. I feel like they treated me like a queen. Sorry for the review, but I could go on-but I won't. Publix is far superior than any other Pharmacy. I really like Publix grocery stores. No matter the location, they are always clean and well organized. They tend to have great weekly sales. We have always like the quality of their deli products whether it's sandwiches or chicken. I have always loved the spicy chicken wings, my son is a huge Publix chicken tenders person. Service is usually great, this location seems to be a little different. The service in the deli is very slow and it seems any requests are very complicated for this team. We ended getting what we wanted, it just took a bit longer. read more

Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give this particular Publix location five stars. read more

Very shameful. I have always loved this Publix location. I watched a woman at the deli named Diamond be incredibly rude to an elder that had been waiting for an online order for much longer than anticipated. Upon finally getting her order, Diamond said "Oh you want to snatch the order now? Snatchy snatchy over here!" And proceeded to say "she snatch again she gonna get snatched. Ain't nobody gonna act like that to me". I personally did not see anything that could have caused this reaction. I wish things went differently, but it left a shameful memory for me. read more

Publix is definitely one of my favorite grocery stores. This specific location isn't close to my neighborhood but, I don't mind going out of my way to shop there. Why waste the gas and time? Because, they have the most helpful and friendliest staff I could ever imagine. Reminiscing on a previous visit I was searching for collard greens, the stock clerk went out of their way to call a nearby Publix to see if they had any collard greens in stock which turned out to be successful and the staff at the other Publix knew exactly what I came in for and had plenty of collard greens to offer. This Publix is also my go to for my favorite creamer, Pumpkin Spice. Yeahhhh I know! I know Pumpkin Spice is so overrated.... yada yada yada LOL! But, I love it!!! Now, lets get back to why Publix is my favorite grocery when it comes to purchasing my favorite creamer. Because it appears as if they are always stocked with what some grocery stores call "seasonal" items. Furthermore, the pharmacy is always punctual when it comes to filling prescriptions. Sometimes, they beat their expected timeframe of prescription fills. Overall, this store always appear clean and fully staffed. I had a short list of groceries to buy but I thought it easier if I bought my 1 Florida lotto ticket first. I stood as the first person in the lotto line in front of the lotto cash register and lotto machine. I watch the two behind the counter. The young man was more interested in his hair than waiting on patrons. The young lady had a few customers in front of her so she was waiting on them. I was waiting patiently for my turn. After her customers were taken care of she just stood there waiting on more customer. I continued to wait patiently. She took care of those patron and still just stood there waiting for more patrons. I waved my arms in the air hoping she would see or any employee would see. But no luck. I finally just left. Oh I went to Winn Dixie bought my groceries and lotto ticket. Publix is my favorite grocery store. This one is always clean and the customer service is great. Tonight we were there during the Apron meals sample. It was so good my daughter convinced me to get the ingredients for dinner! It was one of the Publix ready meals that are portioned out and ready to cook. I adore my neighborhood Publix! This store is well lit, maintained, and modern in appearance. I've never encountered a sticky floor or a grumpy employee. They offer a lot of organic, vegetarian and vegan foods- though the prices on fresh produce are still a little high on the organic side. There is a pharmacy, and a clearance rack (and sometimes buggy or two) in that area. I've gotten some pretty sweet deals on hygiene products, chewing gum, and cookware over there! Almost every week I get a $5 off a $30 purchase post card in the mail, every week their ad comes in a plastic sleeve at the end of my driveway. Nice way to gain and keep customers, for sure- reaching out to them instead of making them have a special card to get deals from you. They accept returns and exchanges easily, I really appreciate the customer service department. I've shopped here and Winn Dixie, they seem to come out about even price wise (before the awesome Publix coupon) because each is more expensive on some items, and less expensive on others. I prefer the Publix because the store is much nicer, though I am tempted by the potential gas rewards at Dixie! There is also an attached liquor store, but I've yet to visit it. read more

Way to go meat department! Went in to get my medicine and I stopped at the meat department to find dinner for tonight. Grabbed this "Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast Stuffed w/ Jalapeño Cream Cheese" all I had to do was get my sides, can of corn and box of Pasta * Roni - Olive Oil & Italian Herb () So I put the Chicken dinner in the oven and made my sides. Chicken dinner was fabulous! We ate everything! Just the two of us and this was an easy dinner. I'll have to grab the main course (Meat) again tomorrow night for dinner. Thank you meat department!!!! If you place an online order ahead of time, deli won't make it on time and if you try to place it in person, deli is ALWAYS backed up. I don't quite understand why the employees are always in a foul mood. Makes every single experience coming in horrible. I truly understand being short staffed-- the issue is there are always employees behind the counter talking with each other and not actually helping and making good. That's confusing. I see managers will look and go behind the counter but again, nothing being done to help the long lines read more

AVOID THIS STORE!!! Complete SHIT SHOW of a deli. Not only myself but all my neighbors have complained numerous times about the deli. It never changes-so my goal in writing this truthful review is to hopefully create awareness among the management team. They don't restock - EVER. They wait until they are completely out of everything... and when there is a lull in the work... well .. that's just breaktime for the staff. Nevermind restocking so that people don't have to wait. To the management team at publix... all you need to do is check the cameras at 4:45 PM on 5/20/2023 [probably earlier actually]. You will note a man in a hat and sunglasses [yours truly] who was so happy to be first in line... and then as usual... no cheese sliced for sandwiches.. AT THE DELI!?? NO CHEESE SLICED... so the entire line had to wait for this collection of clowns to clean a slicer, and start slicing... the whole experience was 30 FUCKING MINUTES. Someone needs to get fired- and I don't mean the clerk... this starts at the top. I pray ANY other chain comes in and does it right. AVOID THIS STORE!! FYI... I have spoken to management several times about these easily fixed issues.. how often? At least 5 times in the last 9 months. AVOID THIS STORE. I will never go here again to get a prescription filled. I dropped my prescription off right before 5 and was told to pick up in a couple of hours. I said so at 7? & was told yes. I get here at 7 and I'm told just give us 10 minutes and it'll be ready. Currently still waiting and it's still not done and just keep getting told only a couple more minutes. Oh Publix! How you make me weep from joy! I can say I've never had a negative experience here. I have a cashier that I always go to when he is there, and I never have a complaint. This store is wonderful. When football season started they had their Pepsi products arranged in the Jaguars logo! IF that's not home team love, I don't know what is! I love it here because they offer an array of organic products and their gluten-free selections are not to be matched unless you go to Whole Foods (which is too far for me). I have asked employees to help me with locating a product and their customer service top notch. I looked for a specific type of sugar and they didn't have it at all. I spoke to a manager and he put in the request for me. They were unable to bring the product in store, due to the nature of the product and it might not be a product many will look for, but the attempt was more than enough for me to know I am getting the best quality of service here. Their bakery is my favorite part of the store. Their breads all freshly baked and crispy on the outside make me swoon whenever I'm in the store. Their cakes are always delicious and I never buy my cakes anywhere else. They also offer a variety of beautiful cakes that compete with regular bakeries out there. Frankly, I will never betray Publix again by going anywhere else. I may pay a couple of cents more but it is worth it for the pleasant experience I receive each time I'm in the store. read more

Since I was small my parents brought me to Public. Not all public supermarkets have the 5 star quality because of the associates that work there. Some are good people, and nice associates, others you just want to run away and because of them and buy somewhere else. In Jacksonville the best and excellent Public is the one at old baymeadows road and southside. I think that it has to do with the Manager that has been there for your and their team. Dustin , one of them , in everything. And some have retired. But it is my number one especially in cleanliness. Their Fried chicken bone and boneless are delicious. Their sampling's in the apron kitchen , too. Public Pharmacy is the one that this Supermarket is missing. But overall is very very good. Does not lack anything. Asked two times where a product was and was sent too two different ends of the store only to find out it was not there. Mask are required by law and some employs had there mask covering there chin not there face. When I asked about alot of people in store that where not wearing mask was told they where offered mask but I looked at entrance and there was no one there to offer mask.It is apparent that this store does not care about there customers or there empolyees. read more

Went to the deli on Saturday and Rebekah made my sandwich as if she loved her job, went here today and waited 10 mins as employees pretended they didn't see me standing there, 10 mins later Jen comes over and treated me as if I were the biggest burden ever because she had to attend to me. The sub tasted just as she felt blah and boring and that's not how Publix subs usually taste. Someone needs to retrain Jen or put her in a position she likes because she clearly hates her job. read more

This pharmacy definitely sucks ! Yesterday I got a prescription sent over from the md. I went and told the Pharm Tech. She stated it would take an hour . I said are you sure an hour I have to go pick up my child she stated yes. I stayed in the area. I came back an hour later my prescription was "almost finished" . I walked around the store for about 15minutes. When I came back she said "before they mixed it they wanted to make sure you can pay $8.24" . I was livid ! So I was waiting all that time because someone thought I couldn't pay $8.24 ! I am changing over to another Publix . This is not acceptable! From the beginning they could have asked me could I pay that amount . Plus I didn't get a measuring cup for my medicine . It's 4 people working back there and it seems like nothing is happening . Publix is definitely my top place to go to get groceries. They're cleaner, and I've never gotten moldy fruits and veggies from there...unlike other unmentionable grocery stores. I cook a lot of ethnic foods and generally find what I need in their spice or ethnic lanes. The only complaint I have is sometimes their produce is just too overpriced and it makes me want to shop at Costco or local Farmers Market for that. Otherwise, always a great place! read more

We ordered a birthday cake for the first time and I was so disappointed. Have always seen and heard good things about their bakeries but this cake looked like it was done by a child. $31 for a small cake we were expecting a lot better. The frosting was sloppy and the writing was so ugly and crooked I could have saved my money and did a better job myself. I should have taken a picture to post for them to see. The pharmacy is GREAT at the Dames Point Publix! They know my name. I give them 10 stars. Not so much for the rest of the store. I wish they would carry more varieties of organic beef. Some of the associates are not trained very well. I purchased an item and used my debit card. The item wasn't correct so I returned it. Instead of putting it back on my card as a debit, it was done as a refund. I had to wait two days to get my money back. If you have a debit or credit card refund at Target the money is put right back on your card. No waiting for your money. I would watch your back at the Dames Point Publix. Most of the time there is a police officer there, but I don't go there at night if I can help it. The Publix at the Town Center is much nicer. If I'm around there I will drop in and do my shopping. read more
