This market has just about everything: produce, meat, already-prepared foods, desserts, cereals, etc. It's extremely convenient for Los Molinos residents, who don't have a lot of options for grocery shopping. If I pass through the town at noon, I love to come in for some of their hot foods. They have chicken strips, jalapeño poppers, burritos, pizza sticks, potato skins, etc. I think the workers are all friendly, at least the ones I've encountered. Only little gripe is that some products are a tad expensive. But I love this market and would happily come here whenever possible.

They price gouge big time on ice cream and cereal etc. But other stuff isn't too bad. With that said it's still a pretty good store, most of the people that work there are really nice and friendly. Some of the employees act unhappy to be there, which really sucks because nobody is forcing them to work there, why should the customers and the company suffer for their life choices ??? They should be terminated imo. Anyways' it is what it is. They have hot food here too like chimichangas, tri-tip sandwiches, breakfast burritos, jojo's, hot wings, corn dogs, or a slice of Luigi's pizza. Or take home a full Luigi's pizza take n bake it at home. They are located in the back in the doors next to the meat department. Then we start all over with new products on Thursdays. Inventory changes every week what we have and which major retailer it comes from online and store fronts. Each week we have something for everyone and at prices anyone can afford, and we don't mean last seasons trends. Its common place for our customers to be shocked when they find an item at Price Drop that they have been really wanting to buy either from the online retail giant or brick and mortar mogals but haven't been able to justify the splurge of $40- $80. in this economy for something that is not a necessity. They are thrilled to find out that we have it and depending on the day of the week and not the retail price of the item it ranges from $9-$3 dollars. We are a local family owned retail store they really wants to be known as the best deal in town. So we work really hard to source the best products and selection at the very best prices. So we can pass the saving on to the consumer we eliminate the typical labor cost associated with processing new inventory and displaying it on shelfs in stead we toss most of it all into bins and everything is priced the same excluding the high roller racks and items which are priced at 50% or below MSRP.

While they are always understaffed, that's every dollar general. All you have to do is watch that one John Oliver special specifically about dollar general, and you'll see why they're corruption and greed makes it so every Dollar General is understaffed. I don't like having to go to them because they are completely corrupt and vile, but underprivileged Trash areas like this, they're really are limited options. We are treated as though we are fixtures to be rerouted because you are stocking an aisle. It's ridiculous that you don't train your employees to move to one side and leave aisles open. One time, the entire center aisle was blocked by pallets, and the only way to get to the registers was walk around the entire store. Ridiculous. If you don't want customers being there, and we are in the way, close the store while you are stocking items. Even your 3rd party distributers do it. It's rude and it's typical at your store.

Hayfork Discount is in the "Frontier Village", which is a strip of buildings on the northern end of town that look mostly abandoned. (The mill closed about 15 years ago). Hayfork Discount is anchoring the busy end of the village strip..... next to the laundromat and Roping Rhonda's bar. [Oh, yeah, there are also two bars in Hayfork....] Hayfork Discount is pretty much equivalent with Wiley's. Wiley's has a few different frozen food and fresh meat choices; Hayfork Discount tends to have a little bit cheaper prices on dairy products. HD also has hard alcohol, whereas I believe Wiley's is beer-and-wine. Prices are high in Hayfork -- raising transportation costs really hit this town hard. The cashiers are friendly.

This store was by far the best one we went to. It's the type of store you can spend a lot of time exploring the great variety of items they have. They had everything from a vintage Polaroid camera to motocross helmets to vintage dishes to clothing and beyond. Truly the store that has something for everyone. Very well organized and clean. The prices were fantastic and the two gentlemen (owners?) at the counter were super friendly and helpful as well. My son and I both bought something we were very happy with at great prices.
