It has a modest selection of food items. The bakery and deli areas are decent. I'm usually able to find what I need when passing through aisles, but as I said, this Safeway is cozier. And by "cozier", I mean "smaller" than other Safeways I've been to. It doesn't always have everything I'm looking for. But they sometimes have something I wouldn't find at other Safeways. For example, I found some really good donuts here before. I've never had a bad experience here. Ambiance is rather tranquil. Workers are ready to help you, and I can get in and out like that. Because of all these pleasant aspects, I'm giving 4 stars in spite of the store's shortcomings.

I brought them home and immediately put them in my freezer. Over the next couple of days, I noticed a strong odor every time I opened the freezer and eventually realized it was coming from the chicken. I called the store and spoke with the manager. She told me to bring the chicken back for a refund. I explained that I live out of town and it would be a couple of weeks before I would be back in Red Bluff. I also told her I no longer had the receipt. She specifically told me that was fine and that I could return the chicken when I came back. Today, I finally made it back to Red Bluff and brought the three packages with me. I was then told that I could not receive a refund and that I had to exchange them for the same brand. I explained that I had already spoken with the manager and had been told I would receive a refund. I also explained that the store no longer even carried the same brand. I was already planning to do my grocery shopping there and ended up spending approximately $370. I offered to simply have the amount for the chicken deducted from my total. Instead, I was made to wait for quite a while while the situation was handled. The part that really upset me was how I was treated by the employees. A male employee with dark hair and a short beard came over with the chicken and, when I tried to explain what had happened, completely ignored me and spoke only to the cashier, telling her the amounts to deduct. His behavior made me feel as though I was being treated like I was dishonest or trying to do something wrong. The cashier, an older woman with long hair, was also very rude and never acknowledged what I was saying. When she finally rang up the replacement chicken, she slammed the packages down on the counter hard enough that the packaging popped open. I had to rewrap the packages when I got home. I understand that mistakes happen, and I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply expected the store to honor what its own manager had told me and to treat me with basic courtesy. I spent approximately $370 in the store today despite how I was treated, which makes the experience even more disappointing. I have been shopping at FoodMaxx for years, but after today's experience, I will seriously reconsider where I spend my grocery money. The chicken was one problem. The way I was treated when I tried to resolve it was the much bigger problem.

This market has just about everything: produce, meat, already-prepared foods, desserts, cereals, etc. It's extremely convenient for Los Molinos residents, who don't have a lot of options for grocery shopping. If I pass through the town at noon, I love to come in for some of their hot foods. They have chicken strips, jalapeño poppers, burritos, pizza sticks, potato skins, etc. I think the workers are all friendly, at least the ones I've encountered. Only little gripe is that some products are a tad expensive. But I love this market and would happily come here whenever possible.

So I started to do a little research, and I came across tx bar, Grassfed Cattle Company. They weren't the first place that I found. I actually found several other places at Bove online and offline. Did my research check my prices and check reviews and everything else? And I decided to reach out to Travis. He answered all in the questions without any Negative feedback whatsoever, no pushy, no sales talk or anything like that, he was open. He was honest, his pricing was fair. He gave me the complete breakdown of how much of whole cow compared to a 1/2 cow. Compared to the processing fee, and there were several ranchers that were a lot closer to me Because i'm right here in sacramento and they are a two and a half hour drive away. But can't beat his prices can't beat his customer service and right now I honestly could say i've bought two cows from this company yes, I have a big family. But I also just like beef, and I like steak and I'm on the carnivore diet. So I like eating meat but I didn't go with the company, Based on just the reviews, honestly, I went to the company. Based on my interactions with Travis and like I said he was honest he was fair. He answered all my questions without hesitation. And he made things easy. If I had any concerns, he put em to rest even all the way up to the day of harvest. Now I'll talk a little bit about the meat. The meat is extremely good. It's like I want to say fresh. But heck, it's fresh, it's fresh from the cow fresh and processor processed it perfectly. For me and it's like we made our first couple roasts and it's like I will honestly say it's better than any beef that I've ever bought from the store. Definitely. We'll be buying from them again. Maybe not in the next year or so since i did get two cows. I got more meat that allows me a year or so, but I'm pretty sure within the next year and a half. I will probably be looking again because I know my kids are gonna be taking some of the meat home with them But I definitely would recommend Travis and his family to all my family and friends and in fact, I already have, and I think 3 or 4 of them actually already bought their own whole cows. So definitely if you're looking to buy a whole cow. And you wanna save money on your beef. Definitely. Look up. TX Bar Grassfed Cattle Company and send them a message they respond fast not days or weeks. Also I almost forgot. You can also be on-site on your harvest day. If you wish to take certain sections of the cow that the butcher processor won't bring back to the shop. Because of certain reasons. If you want those items, you just need to let Travis know. And he'll let you know around the time that your cow would be harvested on that day. And you can be there to collect those items on-site. So you can also watch the process.I'm assuming too, me myself and I didn't do it.But you know, that's long drive.So wasn't like really looking to do a two and a half hour.One way drived in two and a half hour back.
