The customer service is a joke, out of the constant turnover of cashiers one 2-3 employee are actually helpful & knowledgeable about what they have in stock. When you ask for a manager, they never want to come talk to you, they send a vague message back to you (the customer) through the cashier. They don't honor their own coupons or manufactures. I attempted to use a manufacturer coupon on Scott that said limit 5 I purchased 4 Scott items and I was told I could not use it in one transaction. Asked for a manager, the cashier call her on her cell phone and was directed to tell me oh no you have to have multiple transactions with different coupons! I advised her of the fine print on the coupon and the Dollar General coupon restrictions. I was told no I should go to another Store and try it! I did and I was able to use my coupon and combine it with a 5off25 with no problem! AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST!

One associate Lisa as her name tag says, and the second female associate, a young female who did not have her name tag on her shirt. The first sign of unprofessionalism typically is not wearing your name badge. The two reasons I can think of why she did not have her badge on would be one, she either forgot it when coming into work, or forgot to put it on. Two, she did not put her name tag on deliberately in case she did not want to get reported on. One afternoon, I stopped at the local DG. I asked if the prepaid cash reloading system was working. they told me that it did work, that least the younger associate told me it was working. I had to of the prepaid cards, one had a chip. I believe neither one of them knew how the procedure works. secondly, I observed them talking about non work related issues, including the return of a product to the local Walmart, and my perception of the two employees, one may be a manager, they acted as if they didn't want to be here, or dealing with me personally. after the two prepaid cards I provided were not successful when I had cash to load, I offered to buy a second prepaid card. Their lack of knowledge made me react the way I did because of poor customer service on their part. however, I do not apologize for my reaction, and I know I was in the right. during the transaction when I bought a new card, Lisa reacted to my response to the young associate who inconvenienced me. I asked her if there was something wrong, mentioning her name. because apparently she did not like the way I responded to her associate, well I told her, I was in the right because I was inconvenienced by two associates,the both of these females who gave me the poor customer service made me react the way I did. any other customer would react the same way when they receive unacceptable customer service. after the transaction was successful, I was looking at the receipt, for the customer service line. at that time, but third associate possibly a higher up or a low level employee, came into the store. thinking that I had already left the store, I overheard them talking about me, a bit upset about the experience they had with me. Assuming I already had left the store, the Young woman in question were talking about me, that was when I entered the aisle, and I asked loudly, "What did you say about me?" the three of them were partially startled. before I left the store, I told the two associates, remember employment at will, meaning you could lose your job, you could get fired. that was when Lisa, told me not to come to the store again. these two females, these two associates gave me a poor customer service experience. they will not have to worry about me coming to their lousy store ever again. however, I hope the both of them are terminated. they mis represent the Dollar General brand. It was an ugly sight, and this should've not happened. -Concerned customer.
