Staff was much better over the last 2 years. And store much cleaner. Then I went there today and it said CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE on one door and NO PERMIT where the store hours would be. Hopefully it will reopen. Dollar General no longer has phone/email/contact form on their website, so Im not sure why its closed. Perhaps they failed to obtain remodeling permits. With 6 times the number of freezer/fridge cases (which would more electrical power - they would have needed the municipal building code inspector to sign off on the electrical system. Hopefully the get this straightened out soon. But a local grocery store 5 blocks away that is building a new store next to the current one has building permit issues that delayed construction for 3 months since the building code inspector took a summer long vacation.

Like many times, it did not work. The clerk was new and nervous and there did not appear to be any management so I thought I would contact Head quarters. A Kim McCoy called from head quarters and apologized, He said he spoke with the manager - BRUCE- and told him about situation and to honor the coupons and to train new clerks how to handle this. He said he would speak to BRUCE, again. I went in today and this Bruce went into a hissy fit. I had nicely said I was Peter and someone from head quarters called him twice about getting these coupons redeemed. He said, "Well Peter, I don't know what you are talking about." I took my shopping basket and returned it. Bruce yelled out I will take care of it and I calmly said I would call head quarters again and have it taken care of. I called my contact at Dollar General with no response. Terrible service.

I did see a guy with a fabric measuring tape which I thought was genius. He would measure his pants and shirts to make sue the actual listed size would fit him. Where there is a will, there is a way! I decided to pass on a few items out of fear that the fit was off for my body. Parking is plenty, plan to wait in a line (not too bad of a wait) to check out, and CASH is king since it is the only way to pay.

Grabbed some of those, again half expecting that despite the Chambersburg name, they would be mushy and flavorless. Wrong again, juicy with that nice peach smell, they are wonderful. If I lived nearby, this would be my store. Easy to get to both driving as well as the bus. Plus, this store has my favorite mustard, Nance. Every time I have shopped here, I have walked away happy.

(If you plan to use Shipt, please read my first review below.) For the next couple of times, I visited this Target to shop in person. As you most likely already know, Target is a department store, and its departments including clothing, shoes, furniture, home decor, office supplies, electronics, toys, health products, beauty products, etcetera. Prices are low to moderate. During my visits, I thought that the selection of products was decent but not large. Nonetheless, I did find most products that I had intended to purchase. The employees wore face masks, and they politely said hello and excuse me as they walked up and down the aisles. My cashiers were nice also, and they accurately rung up my purchases.

(Like a sweet pumpkin bread that I debated buying for about 10 minutes lol) If you are in the area and looking for a quick lunch I recommend here! They have specials every day and they are usually a dollar or two cheaper than a regular menu item but equally as delicious! I only wish they had a healthy item or two (like wheat bread).
