I bought a wrinkle shield spray for my laundry room - only $2.00! I'm not sure whether to be happy of the deal, or worried that it won't work since it was so cheap. The store is CLEAN, well lit, and properly stocked. The shelves are full and the aisles aren't full of stock carts waiting to be unloaded. You can actually navigate the store without having to maneuver around piles of junk blocking your way and find what you're looking for without digging through unpacked merchandise that has yet to be put on the shelf. It was a refreshing experience to visit a Dollar General without feeling like I was shopping at the Hobo Emporium. Kudos to the staff and management. You've achieved the impossible. This is a beautiful store with the bakery, produce and meat departments along the perimeter. Sometimes the bakery is hit or miss but the hits are fantastic. I love the meat department as they carry a huge assortment of cuts. The meat is very fresh and very good quality. This is how meat departments used to be. The center of the store carries dry goods, house cleaning products, cosmetics and the usual found in grocery stores. There is a huge selection of beers and wine. The frozen food department carries everything I need. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. The prices are comparable to most grocers. There are larger grocers nearby but this store is conveniently located to me.
