Stopped in while on a short vacay in Myrtle Beach. The store is known for it's unique goods from various parts of the world. I stopped in to grab a bottle of wine for my host. She has always said that she does not like red wine. World Market carries Jam Jar, which is a South African wine, and it's the red wine that I introduced to my friends that say they don't like red wine. The store was very organized and neatly stocked. The cashier was very friendly and as always, I enjoyed my experience there. This is one store that we like to visit when we come to Myrtle Beach. The selection of goods from around the world makes for an interesting shopping experience. I was looking for a seed beaded hummingbird, which they did not have. However, I was able to find a decorated fabric camel with inserted mirrors and tassels from India - even better: it was on sale from $7.99 to $1.99. It will be perfect as a gift for my sister-in-law. This is an unusual store with many unique items and foods from other countries that may be difficult to locate in general. They carry gourmet items as well. I do enjoy shopping here from time to time. I love to browse through the merchandise looking for a unique touch to add to my home. I haven't gotten any discounts as others have written about, I just stop in from time to time. I cannot do any major shopping here, but as an extra stop to add some zing to my weekly shopping it is worth it. read more

We had one in Michigan that I only got to visit as it closed. The Myrtle Beach location was well organized and had tons of great food. I will visit here again in the future for their wide selection of items, especially beer and wine. I'm not into their furniture or other items, but they did have some cool 3D greeting cards that were a good price. There are so many interesting items. This is always a wonderful store for holiday necessities. I had my eye on an over sized cutting board that I did not have time to purchase. When I went back today the display had moved and I could not find it. Sarah was so enthusiastic to check several corners where it might have moved and successfully found it, all with a huge smile. Online order. I I ordered a white sectional three weeks before it was needed. The shipping said five days. I took off of work the day it was supposed to be delivered the first time and it was a no-show. They took off 5% and said it would be 2 weeks. I took off work a second time and they were a no-show. The item was damaged during shipping a few states away. I sent for a refund and I was told I would have to wait 7-10 business days- remind you the item was now 3 weeks late. I JUST now received refund 2 months later for a couch that NEVER was even close to my state!!! I will never order again after the horrible customer service. They lost a pretty good customer. read more

I mainly come here for the craft beer selection. Sometimes a sale can be found which makes the trip. Today I found a 6-pack of Christmas Ale originally $9.99 on sale at 55% off...now that's a deal. 4-pack Guinness was also a deal at $7.49. I love this place. read more

Friendly staff and a lot of variety in the merchandise that's available. Some things are a little expensive, but if you sign up for text alerts you can get a discount on your first purchase. When they have clearance items you can get a good deal, so check the clearance out when you can. read more

Wonderful selection of seasonal and unique items that you don't see if you only shop "big box" stores. The staff here were very helpful and pleasant. This location is very organized and has a pretty good selection of foods and wines. If your looking for a gift for that hard to buy for person we all know or just looking for that unique accent to your home, this is the place to go. read more

Similar to Pier 1, but cheaper I think. Good selection of wines from everywhere. Some interesting furniture, food and other things that are actually from abroad and dont look like they were just mass produced in China. read more

We had Sarah as a cashier today (10:30am on 11/15) and she was wonderful! She was so helpful and kind. We had a food item that was expired in our cart and she was extremely apologetic. She offered to wrap our glass beverages or if we preferred, a cardboard drink holder. We had a question on pricing on a sale item and she was quick to have a manager come override so we could get the price that was advertised. I cannot say enough good things. She has been the nicest and most efficient cashier that we've experienced in store. She's a great person to be representing the brand. read more

i am highly disappointed in the customer service here. my good friend and i don't live around one so when we get to go it's always exciting, although the terribly rude cashier who's name is Linda, ruined ur trip completely. she made several rude remarks about what my friend and i were purchasing and was snarky when i had questions about the international products they sell. read more

I have been very curious for a while now as to what World Market was. All the time I drive through Seaboard Commons and people would be coming in and going out, seemed like a highly popular store. Finally decided to stop in and check it out. At first I thought "huh, this is like another homegoods. How cool!!" then I checked the prices of things. "wooooaaaah. nope! Definitely not a homegoods". I was not amused by the prices. You can get very similar items for much much less at homegoods. However, on the bright side, there was a good variety of things, just not in my preferred price point is all. The more I looked around, the more I was comparing this store to Pier One. Seemed higher end like a Pier One in my book. read more

World Market customer service, and the store manager contacted me immediately after they heard of my unfortunate experience. The way they have handled everything was professional and I think it would be unfair for this one bad experience overrule my positive feelings for this company. I will return.
