While checking out at the register, the cashier never greets me and when leaving no one ever thanks you for coming in to the store. Today I had to go in to look for a specific item. I saw an associate unpacking boxes and stocking shelves so I asked her if they had a specific item in stock. Instead of her telling me to go and ask another associate because she is unaware or her stopping what she is doing to assist a paying customer to find something, she gives me the excuse that she doesn't know where anything is because she has been gone for four days and this is her first day back. If that isn't the poorest and sorriest excuse for a lazy person, I don't know what is. The only reason I come to this location is solely based on its location being closer to my house than the other locations here in town. I wouldn't recommend this location! The employees here do not possess the customer service skills that the job requires. I will gladly take my business elsewhere and will not spend another penny at this location.

This store doesn't exhibit many of those positive traits, and I'm somewhat surprised. I stopped by on a Friday evening. Admittedly, it was late in the day around 6:30p, but it wasn't a Saturday or Sunday. The store was fairly trashed, meaning merchandise on the floor and out of place. It wasn't exactly a minefield, but it also looked like staff apathy was contributory, and there hadn't been an effort made to restore order in quite awhile. I can't blame the staff for merchandise landing on the floor from undisciplined children and adults (watched it happen while I was there), but they can pick it up and return it to home just as easily as I did. I don't get paid to work here after all. There were staff roving the store, after all. Did I find what I came for? Yes, and more. Am I encouraged to return? Big nope.

The locals in NB love this place and always stop here to pick up extras. But like any DG probably around the nation they are under staffed. This affects a lot in the store. I'm sure they try their hardest but they need good workers. They have a couple solid people on the team but they cannot work around the clock. Customer service is not their strong point. We went back today, and there was nothing left. We need a little extra decor by our front door and they did have 1 item, but, they had a similar item at Wal-Mart for $15 less.
