My only notation, even though this is a five-star, is that I always thought Belk was a furniture store. I was surprised at the type & quality of offerings. It's a great place for menswear.

Believe it or not , I found a pair of adidas on clearance in the youth section just under this sign that said , TAKE AN ADDITIONAL 50% OFF AT REGISTER . OF COURSE I grabbed the shoes and then hubby to go check out. When we got to the next open register ,there was Bryn with her kind smile ,... she walked us through the sign up for a Kohls card and was the most helpful, patient little GEM whom I am grateful for. Moral of the story (rant)really...... Sometimes it's the smallest things or things we think aren't that big of deal,that make someone write a positive review or makes us want to return there to shop even. So many people HATE their jobs and it shows!!!! New Braunfels Town Center isn't really in the town center- that's where the square is. This is a bit outside of the downtown area. It's not really creekside either. This shopping center is large, with lots of chain restaurant options, and a liquor store, and plenty of places to shop. Ingress and egress is easy along the Creekside Crossing road and the I-35 frontage road. Parking is plentiful. I do not care for the intersection that TxDot made in front of this place, between this shopping center and Buc-ee's. It briefly makes drivers drive on the left side of the road like we're in Britain or something.

The lady at the counter said no way without the receipt. I had purchased the ham a week earlier for cash and didn't keep the receipt, but the label showed clearly it came from walmart. They called the manager, same result. I was NOT a happy person, finally called the number on the ham and explained my problem while standing with the manager. The lady on the phone said VERY CLEARLY that i should get my refund via a gift card. The ONLY amusing thing was that a sign behind the customer service desk said, returns could be accepted with or WITHOUT a receipt. I pointed it out to the manager, she just turned and walked away. I WILL NEVER BUY GROCERIES AT NEW BRUNSFEL WALMART AGAIN, NOTHING!

When she got home and checked the ingredients, she noticed the expiration date was 12/25/25 -- already expired. She took it back to customer service and was given a hard time about getting a refund or even an exchange. After some back and forth, the manager finally agreed to let her exchange it. When she went back to the meat section, she noticed the entire brand was expired -- every single package dated 12/25/25. She grabbed ten of them and brought them to the manager, asking why expired meat was still being sold. No explanation. So, moral of the story: don't buy food at Walmart without checking the expiration date first.

Clothing is pretty much reasonably priced. Employees are hard to find while shopping but this seems like the trend no matter where you shop. Sometimes there are a lot of people in the checkout line. Better to do your shopping during the week to avoid long lines. Great place to do shopping for presents whether birthday or holidays.

I went to the nonperishable food aisle and picked up a bottle of coconut oil for $3 cheaper than it would have cost at the grocery store. You can find Quality spices, Asian spices, Greek style grape leaves for stuffing and herb infused olive oil. I found the employees to be courteous and helpful. One employee stopped what she was doing and walked me to the purse area when I asked where it was located, now that is going above and beyond and excellent customer service ! I understand there's a few bad apples in every batch, just monitor your cameras for theft as every other business does but telling everyone that as if their a criminal or could be is HORRIBLE and makes me not want to return, Your new policy is horrible, maybe come up with something better that recognizes the customer could shop anywhere in the world and chose to shop with you, with practices like this you will definitely lose customers to ALL of your competitors, and if you continue you should, SMH.

I was here looking for curtains and curtain rods. I couldn't find any curtains and about 30 curtain rods. Odd. However there were a ton of wall decor. Had a billing issue on a PRE-SALE order being charged to my credit card before the purchase date in order to get this item at a Huge discount price. Not a problem that they ran my credit card early BUT the problem WAS No receipt. Item was put back into stock. No record of transaction I called Penney's credit card company while in the store, being informed the sale transaction was posted 5 days earlier, and not ran as a pending presale. It's not bad. But when people say Strip Mall I still think of Strippers, always have, always will. No wonder I date Barbie.
