This place is too cute!!! The whole area it's in is adorable and I will be going back to visit very soon. I want to be able to walk around and visit every little shop. It's got an old tiny town vibe. I got the Caribbean Escape coffee and it was amazing. My daughter got the strawberry lemonade and it was gone isn't 2.5 seconds. She loved it! This is always my favorite coffee shop, however I am removing a star. This year, their drinks are so incredibly sweet it's not enjoyable. I even order my drinks half sweet and they feel full sweetness. It's really disappointing because they're either not reading the half sweet or they've increased their flavor pumps per drink. I think it'd be weird to ask for a 1/4 sweet caramel macchiato. I hope they can figure it out because this whole year I have been wanting other coffee a bit more than here :sad face: Their beans are still excellent! The mini donuts were decent, but nothing to rave about. Personally the star for me was the Matcha Latte, and they know what they are doing! I a bit critical when it comes to my matcha latte, and this is almost exactly how I make it at home. We went to Gruene for a few days to get out of Houston. Being out of town made me want to indulge in some coffee house coffee. I looked up coffee and saw that Gruene Coffee Haus was pretty close to where we were staying. It's located in a tucked away super small strip center. When you walk up they have a cute outside area with a photo wall. The environment was very welcoming. The coffee shop it's self is pretty small, but it was decorated nicely. I ordered a caramel macchiato. It was very good. The coffee that they used was very tasty. It was much better than the big coffee shop that we all know the name of. When I go back to Gruene, they will be a must visit stop while I'm there. read more

New Braunfels, I came this town to see Christmas lights & Santa's arriving festival. And then local told me to stop by Gruene hall. So, I ended up good things on my lap. Across this coffeeshop, there's historic Gruene Hall which is no needs to reviewed or write anything about it. Especially if you're true texan you know this epic Gruene hall, old dance hall. The coffee aroma is certainly tied in with the taste does deserve its own unique place on this town. It truly has qualities that make it a beloved beverage by people across the NBTX ( New Braunfels, Texas ). The Texan bitter taste of caffeine and the energy boost we get from it. Though commonly associated with cotton cultivation, the field holler was also sung by levee workers, and field hands in rice and sugar plantations in this neighborhood. Yes, this is "The South" and I see in my imagination a cotton farm. By 1900, Gruene was a prominent banking, ginning, and shipping center for area cotton farming. But a significant cotton-producing community along the Guadalupe River went down, the town has now shifted its economy to one supported only depended on tourism. I could be wrong. There is so many winery around. This is the greater New Braunfels as a part of a huge Germanic community area. Every once a month, there's a green market right in this compound. German-Texan heritage is surreal to experience while I'm having a cup of coffee. Haus literally House in German and all Germanic languages, foods and even street signs all over. Baristas are so young that I could figure the town of New Braunfels & Gruene has a new generation era! Straight outta Gruene,TX ! Shh! There must have been a rumor bound around that so many kids find thier gifts unwrapped under the Xmas tree in this coffee shop as soon as they brush thier teeth 365 days in a year. In deep, to get into the Christmas spirit in Texas you have to be here once in your life. read more

I think the ice coffee is ok but geez the cups are small. My 2nd time in and half the cup was cold foam, I bet it was maybe 1/3 cup actual coffee due to excessive ice too. For over $8 each and the large is a small at most places. Maybe you're paying for the fact it's in Gruene & expected & I think it's more that people think it's a place that you can 'name drop' you go to. Way too small for the cost!!! I guess unfortunately for me a friend of mine is a Barista so I know cost VS price & you can still make a heck of a profit & make your customer feel like they got what they paid for.
