It was an hour before closing and they would not let anyone in the restroom because they had just cleaned them. Well, people gotta go when they have to go, our bladders do not understand "the bathrooms can't be used because they are clean" Since then we have not had any incidents like that. Destin is our favorite GW store but we always try to make this one when we are in this part of town. I think their yarn is overpriced because I can buy it for the same price or cheaper when there is a sale at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or Joann Fabrics.

This is the ONLY Walmart I've ever been to that doesn't have a gluten-free section. Non-existent gluten-free options for celiacs like me, so you're going to be stuck needing to buy everything on Walmart's website to be shipped to your house. This place is right down the street from a military base, not in the middle of Timbuktu. Even the Walmart near White Sands in New Mexico (which is much more remote) had an extensive gluten-free section. What gives? This Walmart does have a section for Louisiana products, including crawfish boiling seasoning, roux starters and Cafe Du Monde beignet mix. Also, this Walmart has the pharmacy and grocery on the same side of the building (left if you're facing the front doors from the parking lot.) I ended up buying a Bug Bite Thing ($10) and mosquito itch cream ($4) at this location because, well, it's Florida and you'll need it if you visit. Visited May 2024.

The owner took the time to walk my 8yr old through the store explaining and showing her all that my daughter wanted to know or might be interested in. Along with that she also informed us of classes that the store has taught by local artist.
