They cook the wings to order and then put out what's left. We got there too late on Tuesday and got fryer pieces but they were still delicious. We went back Thursday morning and got a large bag of wings. They also have a fresh salad bar and it has everything that you could want. Publix is always one of our favorite places to shop as well as get some good Southern Fried Chicken. Check them out when you're in the Gulf Shores area!

They have a seafood dept that has a variety to choose from, mostly known for their boiled shrimp and crawfish~Cajun style. We like the seafood dips they have, especially the smoked tuna a dip. They have the best key lime pie in town. So, I usually have one of those in my freezer. Oh, they have a big area for alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. You name it, Rouse's probably has it. Rouse's is more convenient to the beach than other grocery stores, but it may be a little pricier. You have to weigh the pros and the cons, like all other places. This location has a fresh sushi count that looked amazing and a great selection of fresh or steamed fish and seafood. I love walking down the aisles to see all the things you'd never find in most grocery stores, the staff here is very welcoming and outgoing and always ready to help direct you to anything you need. I just heard Rouse purchased (10) more Winn Dixie locations that they plan to renovate and rebrand them under the Rouse name, unfortunately none close to my home but it's great news for their Louisiana and Mississippi loyal customers. Good size store with an interesting wide selection of goods, and the prices were very low on ne brands. Went in for lots of cleaning supplies and general items needed for a place with empty cabinrys, drawerss, cabinets, etc. Since it's just up fom the beach they had a big sale on sandals, tees and my son found a cool looking pair of shorts reduced to $6 in a big size. I don't know if other family dollar stores have the variety and localized feel of this place, but we'll done. It was sad to see they had no check-ins or reviews, and after I got everything on my shopping list and the msnager came way back in the back to gently let me know thst they had been closed for :15 minutes already :-) I needed a lot of stuff, and kinda loss track of time, but here's the thing, no annoying announcements or terse countdown over the intercom, just a friendly face if a nice manager with a laid back attitude letting me know it was tome to go. We chatted a bit while the cashier rang out my over stuffed buggy, and I commented thst I had just bought my little getaway on the water down the road, and this was only fits full day in the house since closing and he told me he had only ben here for a little over a year from Flint, MI. We both agreed that laid back was one of the main things that makes Gulf Shores just thst much more attractive when chosen a place to choll, snowbird or just be a beach bum, for sure. Why only four stars, well they only had two people on staff, the manager was one of the two and when I needed some help they were no where to be found, and the fact I was overcharged for a sale priced item thst I didn't catch until I was home. The staff that works here are friendly and knowledgeable in each one of the products available. Sometimes if you comment on how much you like what you tasted. The staff will recommend a favorite of theirs that they find go good with a particular dish. I got recommended by their cashier for a cocktail sauce on shift that I mix Nasal Napalm & Sauce Master Medium Hot Sauce. (Which I'll upload a pic) I tried it upon their recommendation & it will be the only thing I'd dip my shrimp in after seasoning it with their garlic herb seasoning. I went to Marshall's today to shop for family when I overheard a customer being unbelievably rude…read moreto a young cashier. I was appalled by the customer's words, and the poor cashier was visibly upset by the remark the customer made. I noticed rather quickly that management did absolutely nothing to diffuse the situation and basically allowed the customer to show blatant disrespect in front of other customers. To me, that is wildly unprofessional on management's part; nobody should get away with calling a kind worker "a mother****er" for just doing their job. I'm not sure what kind of policies allow this behavior, but I do not have any respect for places like that.

We were not really impressed it was very messy , you couldn't find anything as lots of shelves had things thrown all over, plus opened and unopened boxes in the aisles. They may need more help to organize. The only ppl I saw working were at the register , we couldn't find anyone on the floor. No one said Hi when we came in. I saw lots of books but didn't go over there. The prices seemed like Walmart prices nothing stood out as a great deal to us but that depends on what u are looking for I guess. We probably will never go back.
