I called the store on Sunday morning and they brought me a new one the same day! When they delivered it, they even made sure it was up and running before they left! Ace is definately the place. From a knowledgeable staff to a great selection of hardware & other projects. Helpful friendly staff. If there's anything Home Depot doesn't sell or it happens to be out of stock at Home Depot or Lowe's Ace is the Place. For your Hardware needs. Granted it's a bit scaled down from the competitors. They have a lot of what you're looking for weather it would be your household lawn or gardening projects. There's times I've went to Home Depot or Lowe's and clerks told me they don't carry that certain product. They've always sent me here & I have yet to be disappointed & found it in stock when I got there. The only drawback for me is the parking. I've had to wait and come back hoping to find a spot. Other then that a great shopping experience. I will be shopping at this location in the future for my next yard or household projects. While we LOVE having an ace so close with such knowledgeable employees there's one employee that has stood out the last 2 times we've been in. A middle aged woman who's supposed to greet you as you enter simply looks you up and down and doesn't speak until she's done analyzing you. This happened twice as I walked about waiting on my husband. When he made his selections and made his way to the register sure enough she looked him up and down too. This seems very strange to me. When a person does this to you first before speaking it makes you feel inferior. We love this store and will still shop here. Next time I get sized up I may put her in her place. read more

I just love this Ace Hardware, they have everything you can thing of and a whole lot more. Every time I come here I am thinking "No way they'll have that" but they do. They even do screen repair. Plus the people are super friendly, knowledgeable and on the ball. Right on Ace! I do have to take off 1 star because of a recent incident with the counter person. I called ahead and asked about an item that I urgently needed and it was time sensitive. The person on the phone said "yes we have it" and she assured me that they had the quantity I needed. I didn't have the time to drive to Home depot in Foley so I was thrilled. Unfortunately when I got there the items I needed were not in stock, I mean not any of them. The young lady was not at all apologetic and kinda blew me off, but I was pretty unhappy. So I had to make that Foley trip and it really hosed up my afternoon and had other repercussions. I know one screw up isn't the world, but be aware that if you are making a special trip to get that one thing you really need real quick, ask them to check and verify and check again. Beyond that all my other trips to this Ace have been spot in and I am really glad that they are there and will continue to be a happy return customer, because like the ad says. Wife and I are snowbirds from Michigan , she is handicapped and gets around in a mobility scooter , well we went to a senior meeting and the seat on her scooter which locks in place but will swivel when the release is pushed was broken and it would swivel but not lock , I looked at it and it needed a new bolt and nut, so a took the broken bolt in the young man finds me a matching bolt washer and 2 nuts so it doesn't vibrate loose , but I didn't have any tools , so I asked the young guy hey do u have a couple of wrenches I can borrow he found them and went outside with me to put it back together , total cost $1.94 , thanks for a friendly staff read more

5 or 6 people asked if they could help me while I was there for 15 minutes. I asked for seeds, the guy started showing me weed killer! He didn't seem to know what a seed was.... My husband bought 4 pieces of tubing, less than a foot of 4 types. It came to $9!!! When we got back to our rental on the beach we saw they had charged us incorrectly but I told him it wasn't worth it to go back because they were clearly incompetent. I don't know how they got the other good ratings, maybe we just hit them on an off day? (Wednesday). I always go to Ace in my hometown and have never seen such stupidity.... read more

Tried to exchange an ACE hardware brand torpedo level for another tool I could use as I already owned a torpedo level. Because the level was a gift (no receipt) and did not come from this store, the manager refused to take it. ACE brand is a national brand and all ACE stores should recognize and honor exchanges regardless. Certainly was NOT the helpful hardware place in my opinion. Will try another location. And yes the same exact torpedo level was in their store on display for sale. read more

As you walk in the door you will notice the difference immediately. Customer service is their #1 priority. Someone is standing right up front asking if they can help you find what you came there for. Employees are wearing headsets so they can communicate with each other to get you, in a very timely manner, for whatever you're looking. If you need just one nut and bolt, that's all you have to buy. You don't have to buy the prepackaged products as in the bigger stores. I have only been in this store one time, but it was a good experience. I will certainly return if in the area again. Clerk met me just inside the door and took me to the item I was shopping for. What I needed was on a top shelf and neither of could reach it from the floor. The clerk was there with a ladder in just a minute and in my hands I now had the item I requested.
