Let's get started with their newest addition: their expanded hot food section in the back. Leonardi's and the bakery are obviously on the front and side respectively. But in the back, used to only be rotisserie chicken. Now they have several varieties of chicken, potato wedges, corn dogs and pizza sticks, all hot and cheap ready to consume! They'll typically carry everything you could possibly be looking for, and they'll typically have it the cheapest of any store in the county. They'll usually have most new stuff pretty quickly, occasionally on release day. You shouldn't have any serious employee or service issues. Anyone that mentions lines, yes there can be lines...it's an extremely popular store! Also, it being the cheapest prices, and one of few 24 hour places of any type in town...means you may see some interesting people. It's got an atmosphere sort of similar to maybe Costco, if nothing was in bulk and the building was smaller, and the store was an obviously employee owned store. Also, the parking lot is pretty big. But the surrounding stores in the plaza aren't super popular, so even if WinCo's lot is packed, you should have no problem parking. At the end of the day, I just have to walk across two crosswalks and I'm here. (It's so close that I walk for exercise.) I am a regular, multiple times a week grabbing groceries or even snacks, and now I'll be regularly getting their new cheap hot meal as previously mentioned and shown in the photos. While nothing is outstanding, it's not getting a bad rating because I wouldn't come as often if it was truly horrible.

UPDATE 3/19/2026: At this point, it's clear the issue isn't effort--it's ownership. Simply moving…read moreproducts around is not an improvement when the same fundamental problems are being ignored. The store remains understocked, with empty shelves, expired items still on display, and far too many products missing price tags. These are basic retail standards, and they're consistently not being met. The exterior reflects the same lack of attention. The parking lot is often littered with garbage, and the pallet area along the side of the building is cluttered and in poor condition. First impressions matter, and this one isn't good. To be clear, the employees are not the problem--they are consistently helpful and hardworking. This falls squarely on ownership and management decisions. Compared to other Grocery Outlet locations, this store continues to fall short. What's needed here isn't another rearrangement--it's real leadership, accountability, and a commitment to doing the basics right. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Grocery Outlet location has had four owner-operators in just under eight years, and the difference in management shows. It once felt like a treasure hunt for great bargains, but now it feels neglected. I have repeatedly found expired products on the shelves, especially in the meat department, which is concerning and unacceptable. The parking lot is frequently dirty, and many items are missing price tags altogether. When checking out, customers should carefully watch how items ring up. This is no reflection on the cashiers -- they are doing their jobs. However, pricing errors do occur, and management does not consistently honor shelf pricing when mistakes are on the store's end. The first two operators clearly cared about quality and customer experience. The last two, including the current owner, have allowed standards to slip significantly. I used to enjoy shopping here, but I will now be doing more of my shopping in Longview and using this location only when absolutely necessary. I truly hope the current ownership takes these concerns seriously and works to restore the store to the level of quality and service it once provided to the community.

When I opened the corn after only a day in the frig it was moldy and alot of liquid sitting in the trays the ears of corn were in. The ribeye steak was ok but the tenderloin wasn't what you would expect. I hope they get it together, that was the best Grocery Outlet in this part of the world. It no longer is.

The store is consistently, bright, clean and well organized. They offer fresh produce, meats, cheese, bread and dairy products. Their frozen food cases are well stocked well. Their cleaning supplies and dry goods are plentiful. This particular US Foods CHEF'STORE has wonderfully helpful and friendly employees. You do not need to own a restaurant or be a chef to shop at this fine establishment.

Let's start with product selection. It's still about the same as always. However, prices have seriously increased. I felt at the previous establishment, it was more like Costco. Buying in bulk to get a better price. Now? It feels like it's only a bulk option, not better prices. However, not worse prices either, so that's saying something. It doesn't have the best atmosphere, but it's not a store I need great atmosphere from. It's not a bad atmosphere either, which is good. It won't deter you from doing your shopping as long as necessary. As for the customer service, it's also about as expected. Maybe slightly above average, but that'd be personal preference at most. Overall, "Chef's Store" doesn't hold a candle to Cash & Carry. If you're looking for what this store provides, it should do it with flying colors. Especially for restaurants, its main customers.
