I might accept a lettuce that I'll have to throw the outer leaves away, if the price was reduced. That doesn't happen. Sometimes I stare at the produce area and just want to weep. I've spoken to the manager who basically shrugs and says he has no control over what they send him. I'm not sure I believe that, but I'm tired of speaking to him. This situation is turning Clatskanie into something of a food desert for people who don't want to travel out of town once or twice a week just for produce.
