He told me that gluten free pastries would be delivered the next day which I was excited to hear. I ended up coming back and getting a piece of gluten free coffee cake. It was a little pricey for one piece but I understand how difficult it can be to make gluten free. The coffee cake was delicious. I asked someone about it but it did not go with the other offer below it. So when I went to the check out, sure enough the price was not correct. The lady had to ask someone and I guess the price was wrong. She did give me the product for the correct price, so I appreciate that. My score would have been great had it not been for the price error and staff not knowing anything about it. I also picked up a few wings and they were great. I really like Food Lion's sale prices.

The Swansboro Store is the most irritating of them all! A while ago I was in line as the next customer and a cashier overlooked me as if I weren't there. I made a comment and both the Customer Service manager and the young lady looked at me and walked away, no apology! Today I was in the self-check out service line and the lady guarding the registers approached me and said, if you use the codes on the melons they will come back as not found. I acknowledged her by saying okay and then kept ringing up my order. I had placed all my items on the ticket and she pointed out that I had 2 different types of things on my order and that they were not the same price. I became annoyed! I pointed out on the screen the two items she spoke about and read the prices out loud because she had also said she didn't see the items on the screen so again I pointed them out and read the prices aloud! She came back with an attitude, I was only trying to help you and make some suggestions. I advised her that I frequent Food Lions often and very much aware of the process on how to locate items with or without numbers on them. I thanked her for her help and she got an attitude. Walked away saying the same thing! I was only trying to help. Help what ? Not looking at the screen to see that the items were already added to the screen! I'm gonna pass on Swansboro Food Lion going forward! I rather be treated like a wanted customer!

I am very well known some of the staff will speak and say hello because they know me. Some of the younger kids when I'm grocery shopping I'll tell them go get a drink and a snack it's on me and I'll purchase it for them. Piggly wiggly is like any other store price wise things have gotten expensive of course they have it's the economy. Well yesterday I stopped in or swansboro pig we wiggling I was with a friend of mine and my friend said hmm I normally don't shop there because their meats have gone up it's expensive. I said well that's my hometown store we're just going to run in for a few things so upon entering the store I know it's hell very cold it was you can almost see your breath I was freezing come to find out the heat went out no big deal things happen. So as I went to the Express checkout I was waited on by someone who I thought was a very nice person we've actually had conversations we've talked about a lot of things I know everyone in there and they all are pretty well pleasant. Well there's a girl who works the express all her name is cresha.. upon checking out my groceries I said Jesus it's cold in here she said yeah the heat went out I said I gathered that it's pretty chilly I paid for my groceries she bagged them up and my friend right behind me she rang up his bill his bill came to 35 but he can't hear that well so he handed her 25 so jokingly to him who always says pig is very expensive I looked at him and I said geez Bob you know good and well it's more than that you're in Piggly wiggly it's expensive.. we both laughed that was between him and I jokingly. Well the cashier blew up at me she told me that she was tired of me complaining and that I need to go to Walmart or food Lion and not to come back to that store again.. and she yelled and I was floored I couldn't believe she would speak that way to me or any other guest plus it wasn't a conversation I was having with her it was an inside joke between me and my friend who refuses to shop there but I talked him into it cuz we were getting a few items. It upset him so bad he said this is the unprofessional place Ellen no way with Lowes food Walmart or food Lion ever have an employee talk to anyone the way that she just blasted you and told you not to come back to Piggly wiggly.. very disrespectful and so so unprofessional. She was complaining that they open from 12:00 to 4:00 cuz we had a snowstorm and how ridiculous it was just to open for those short hours I assume by her attitude she was called into work.
